Every Saturday I take my six year old daughter on a "date" of her choice if she is well behaved all week. Today she chose to go to Dairy Queen. We walked in and the place was empty except for a group of gentlemen who appeared to be waiting for their orders and three teenagers with a dog hanging out in the tables closest to the registers. I assumed it was a service dog. No biggie. No one was behind the registers when we got there but after a few minutes of waiting for someone to help us, the cook acknowledged us and said he'd be right with us. The guys who were waiting got their food and left, and then it was just me and my daughter. I noticed the teenagers with the dog get up as if to leave; two of them went out the door with the dog and one of the girls who had been petting the dog, fixed her hair, put on her visor and went behind the register. I realized she worked here and would probably be the one to wait on us. I waited for her to wash her hands and then help us. Nope. The girl who had been petting the dog and fixing her hair did not wash her hands. She asked in a friendly way how she could help us... I debated saying something but I didn't want to be That Girl. I saw there were a couple of employees at the ice cream station and hoped to God the girl who didn't wash her hands wouldn't be the one making our Blizzards. Thank god. It was my decision to stay and order here but I am beyond repulsed. The girl also did a lap to see if there were any dirty tables, picked up a coin from one of the tables and ignored the unwiped ones. I couldn't even eat my blizzard. My bad. The restaurant itself is really nice, it's sad that had to happen!!!
