Unfortunately, there just isn't a lot open late or early in this town. We just happened to notice this place open on the way out of town so we popped in. What was cool were all the trucker seats at the bar. In fact, we might have been the only non-truckers. Ok, a bit of an exaggeration but that's the basic feel of the place. We just had a basic breakfast with grits. Everything was alright and maybe a slight notch up from Denny's but our expectations weren't exactly high going in. What I would suggest is for the staff to either get it together or not bicker or gossip in front of customers. That just doesn't work.

I have been here both when it was packed and when my friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant. Both times the waitress was snotty and inattentive. I don't think I should have to go refill my own drink at a sit-down restaurant. Honestly, I love their sandwiches and I think they have the best fries in town but this lady needs to get a different job so someone who is more friendly and knows how to waitress can work here.

Wow. Well, it's a diner off the highway in the middle of North Dakota, you know? You definitely get the real experience when you eat here. Well, I only ate here once so I'm not an expert. But I believe the chairs at the bar were seats from big rigs, and our waitress looked at us like we were idiots when we asked what the "hot beef" and "hot hamburger" were, and how the hot hamburger was different than the other hamburgers. Like, why was it in a different part of the menu? Apparently it was different. My friend told me I should get the full experience and order the hot beef. I will upload a picture. I have to say, it was not very good. The mashed potatoes were good, but that was about it. Just don't order it. My friend got French toast and eggs and those were fine. I would go with that. We were pretty sure our waitress hated us, but after I told her I liked the hot beef (lies) she warmed up to us. Oh, those Midwesterners. :)

Food was mediocre. Service was horrible. I swear the waitress wanted nothing more then for us to leave and never return. (wich btw she got what she wanted). With service like this I don't ever plan on returning. I still feel sick to my stomach from breakfast. i also was brought food i never ordered and was charged for it.

Home cooking at its finest?!? Only if your idea of "home cooking" is heating up a frozen dinner from the grocery store! I ordered a glass of iced tea of course I find out after tasting it, its not fresh brewed (comes out of the soda fountain). I ordered the fleischkuechle with salad. The salad was a pile of lettuce, a few strands of cabbage, a slice of cucumber and a tomato end. The fleischkuechle was nothing more than one of those nasty preformed processed frozen chicken fried steak patties inside the "dumpling". Overall the meal was disappointing. The last time I had food that tasted this bad was when I ate lunch with my daughter at her school cafeteria.

All the reviews are lies the salad bar is great service has been a lil slow but over all great place for a truck driver to get a good hot meal
