We stopped in for a chocolate tornado and a sundae. The hot fudge was delicious. I liked the fact that chocolate was available for the tornado. Vanilla is boring and it is what most places use exclusively. The gals behind the counter were very cordial and were focused on their duties. The prices were just right and the place is appointed with coca cola memorabilia which was quite interesting. It fit perfectly into the small town ice cream place and did it better than most we have frequented.

We stopped at this little place for lunch on our trip from Denver to Bismark. It is a really cute place with a ton (I mean a tom) of coca-cola vintage merchandise. They even had it in the bathrooms, lol Anyway, we waited for a while at the counter, but finally placed our order and looked at all the coke stuff. It was very inviting. Our food came and it was really good especially after the long drive. We tried to ask several employees about the coca-cola items, but none of them seemed to know much about it. It was a great little stop on our trip. Really wished I would have had a sundae. Heard they were really good. Oh well, maybe some other time. So my friends and I got into Bowman after a LONG drive with little to eat. We were starving! Luckily there was a little (and I mean little) cute information station that pointed us to the food in town...Eats N Treats. I am giving this place 2 stars because I feel bad...and the food was decent. I think I'm being generous. First of all there were flies EVERYWHERE in here...like hundreds of them...in the kitchen and in the dining area. The staff that we saw working the restaurant was really young. They appeared high school aged but I cannot be sure. The wait wasn't long but the girls were gabbing away in the back. At least we could watch them cooking so I wasn't worried about them spitting in the food, but they were laughing at us. Like visibly laughing...and talking about us. My friends and I had been really nice...they all laughed out loud when we ordered kid's meals. I didn't understand why, but apparently that was funny. We were pretty uncomfortable watching them talk about us while they made our food (at least the food was fresh!) so when it was ready we took it outside and ate it out there so we didn't have to watch them watch us. The food was fine though...I'm sure it's a local favorite! Anyways, we got this brochure that said Bowman, ND had "darn near 2000 friendly folks [to] welcome you" which may be true but none of them are working at Eats N Treats! UPDATE: I am glad that this other patron had a great experience at this location...but I'm not making any of my review up and will be happy to back it up with dates if necessary. And I can describe at least two of the workers. Maybe it was an off day...and maybe my friends and I are funny looking or something, but it was VERY uncomfortable.
