Very typical Chinese buffet, all the food taste the same, usually neither hot nor fresh. I usually order off the menu which is better. Below average for sure, would not 'choose' to go here.

I was sad again today by a restaurant I used to really like. When my husband and I moved to wilmington 3 years ago we visited szechuan buffet. We liked it, my husband who doesn't like many chinese buffets around town really liked this one. After a couple of visits we asked some friends to go with us, they were like we don't think so. Didn't you know that this is the restaurant that was closed down by the health department. Umm...no. So the next time we went we checked the grade before we sat down. Anyway, this has been a favorite of ours where we go at least once a week, but in the past 6 months it has started to go down hill. They took the crab legs off the buffet. I can understand that, it was probably getting to expensive. But the biggest thing is that they don't keep the buffet stocked very well during week nights. Tonight I went at about 6:45. There was no sushi. I asked the waiter (who is new and doesn't speak alot of english) and he said "no more tonight". Really? This is a chinese restaurant and you are out of sushi before 7 and you don't close till 10? Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened. They also ran out of boiled shrimp. The salmon had a really bad taste to it and it was like it had been there since lunch. I think it is time to start trying to find a new "favorite" chinese buffet. I hope my husband will go along with it. I am printing a picture of the empty sushi containers and the watermelon with the paper still on the rind. That part makes me wonder if it isn't time for the health department to check them out again. Did they even wash the watermelon?

Awful experience. The food is terrible and the service is worse. The place feels tiny. I am a slim person and still had the back of my seat directly touching the person behind me. Every inch of the place is covered in grime. Not a single thing tasted good. I regretted the choice to bring my family here as soon as we sat down. The guy at the front counter yells across the entire restaurant to let the kitchen know they need more of one thing or another and everyone is rude. The only consolation to the trip is that I still do not feel like I have food poisoning. I am keeping an eye out for symptoms though.

I usually really like cheap Asian buffets. They bring me back to my drunken college days when all I wanted was five bucks, all I could eat, greasy goodness. Yeah this place is not close to good. Like I said, I wanted to like it. For almost every chicken dish, the chunks were either gristle or just fried dough. The rice had been sitting in the cooker too long and was dried out and hard to the point where I occasionally couldn't even chew one. I live so close to here and was really hoping this would be a good experience, but no. Bad food all around. Will have to keep looking.

msnbc.msn.com/id/2113454… MSN posted a clip from Channel 6 news that showed footage from an ex-employee's hidden camera in the kitchen, where employees were seen preparing food in very unsanitary ways e.g. 1. preparing sushi on a trashcan 2. dropping raw fish on the floor and putting it back into the bin 3. mashing garlic in a bin wearing sneakers It has a notorious past of having been shut down by the Heath Department for 10 days or so in 2007. However, it was reinspected before being reopened. This place should be closed down--permanently.
