Healthy Meal suggestions for Outback Steakhouse

I really don't think the employees at this particular Outback really care about service or food presentation. The shrimp appetizer was cold and dry and arrived with romaine lettuce that looked like it had been pick out of the trash can. The sweet potato fries came with honey, which we didn't want, but the kitchen couldn't get it right the second time either. My streak, which should've been a filet with blue cheese crust, could've been warmer, was undercooked, and had no blue cheese. Even the steamed veggies, which is my favorite thing on the menu, were over-cooked. We were also charged for a drink we didn't order, and between the Bloomin' Onion and the entrees, the waitress disappeared for about 30 minutes. Needless to say, Outback is no longer an option for Mother's Day or any other day.

Typical atmosphere you find at other Outbacks. Service is prompt and staff is courteous. The steaks are average, nothing to write home about.

Been watching commercials for Outback for months and they made my mouth water so I finally went. What a huge let down. Service was great. However the kitchen is lacking. I had a filet with horseradish crust and a side serving of grilled scallops with baked potato and salad. I thought the horseradish crust was going to be sort of grilled on and a nice crunchy spice but it was some sort of creamy stuff layed on top of the steak. It was gross. I scraped it off and removed the steak from the plate to eat it. Potato was lukewarm. Scallops were undercooked and cold and served plain. They were supposed to have had a dipping sauce as I discovered when I asked them to be cooked longer. Salad was ho hum. My partner had wings which he said were fine, but you really can't go wrong with heating up frozen wings! $40 for dinner and it was a huge let down. I wont be going back, since I ordered a pricey meal and it was just not good.

its good most of the time. watch for dirty dishes, dirty classes. Good food when prepared properly. Sometimes when busy quality and cleanliness wanes.

We were seated quickly and the waitstaff was great. However... I was surprised at how run down the place was! Really a surprise for a national chain. We we changed booths because thebenches were all ripped up on the first one they seated us at. Paper all on the floor, etc. Our meal was excellent, but it really makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like when it's that messy in the seating area.

Went in for lunch this week with my aunt. Tyler the manager greeted us warmly and led us to a nice booth. Kelly our server was very quick and very professional. She was very fast and polite. Our meals did not come out at the same time and Kelly notified the manager about the kitchen taking so long and sending our order out separately. He came out to apologize. The service was excellent and food was good - chicken tacos and French onion soup. Nice place for a quick lunch.

It's been forever since I had been to a outback and me and my best friend decided to go. The service was excellent waiter was always there when we needed something. Food was alright for the bloomin which I was very excited for but it wasn't as I remembered. Overall good experience but probably won't go again

I had 3 deaths in 2 weeks in my family so I thought I deserved a good meal. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout and waited 45 minutes for it. I ordered ahead too. I ordered a blooming onion, chicken wings and a soda. The onion was small and burnt. The wings had no real meat on them. The only good thing was the soda. I won't be back. I'll go to Texas Roadhouse instead.

I love out backs food and I have previously wrote a review but the last 2 times has been nothing but horrible . I went for a birthday dinner in April and for one I did call ahead seating and I'm honestly not even sure what the point of call ahead season is. It was a Friday night ill give you that but your a steak house and should be staffed well enough where people arnt waiting crazy times I called ahead and we still waiting 45 mins to an hour to get a table and then we get seated and every time we would ask for something it would be like 10 to 15 minutes. From the time we got there to the time we left we were there for almost 3 hours and it wasn't even a big party it was 3 of us. The table next to us sent their food back twice . Some birthday dinner it was. Not. Then I went last week for lunch and legit there was almost no body here and we sat there with no drinks or hello how are you for 10 minutes at least and it took us over an hour. I used to love this place, not sure anymore .

This place is always awesome and they continue to do extremely well every time. On this particular visit my steak wasn't cooked the way I asked. Our waiter Edmond took care of it immediately. Then on top of that for the inconvenience the manager Heather came and comped my whole meal for me. I have always been an outback fan, but they have definitely went above and beyond today and I will continue to come back. They have turned me into a life long fan.

This saddens me quite a bit to write a bad review. I think it was an awesome restaurant and the decor was awesome. Well the food was bad from the start. The bushman shrooms were hard to eat. The entrees were not okay. The broccoli tasted overdone and the chicken had no flavor. The best part was the ice cream!! It took almost an hour and a half to get everything. There was no wait either.

The drive thru is usually good for a semi-quick decent meal. They have messed up my order once and also completely forgot my order and made me wait 20 mins before. Granted they offered me a desert for free but it was a sample size and seemed stale. Horrible service but the food is good if they get it right. Ribs!

I hadn't been to an Outback Steakhouse in years, but I remembered the last one was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, this one disappointed me a great deal. Service was wonderful. Our server was marvelous, fast and absolutely kind and understanding. I am an enormous steak fan. It is my absolute favorite food and I love nothing more than a good ribeye. Bread was great, bloomin onion was tasty. Sweet tea was nothing special and kind of sour to be honest. Really, it isn't that hard to please me with steak, but I do expect a level higher in quality for the price you pay at this restaurant, and the steak was not good. I have never once in my entire life sent a steak back and I did today...not once, but TWICE. The first one came out with this bizarre sour taste. I can not put my finger on it, but it simply tasted foul. Terrible after taste as if the meat had been absolutely saturated in sherry for days, which it obviously had not. The first bite made me blanch. I had to ask my girlfriend to try it and make sure my tastebuds weren't messed up because I couldn't believe it. The waitress was super nice and greatly encouraged me to switch dishes to another steak. By the time that arrived the rest of my party was done eating so I was extremely embarrassed and feeling a lot of pressure to like it. But I couldn't get through more than three bites. It was over cooked and absolutely covered in spices. SO spicy! A good steak, if it's a good steak, doesn't need that much rub. It was dreadful. My guess is that this cut was also sour so the spices were meant to cover that up? The first steak was at least tender, just tasted sour. I'd just eaten at Chili's last week and damned if I hadn't got a ten times better steak for a fraction of the price. This would be the end of it and the last time I ever bothered with this place, but the manager came up and sent me home with the items cut off the check, a 20$ gift card and a slice of cheesecake. I was very stunned by how kind that was! Perhaps the cook was simply having an off day. Or trying to work with sub par cuts the best they could. I'd like to up the stars to 4 simply because of how hard the staff tried to make it up to me and how kind they were. But I came for the food and it just wasn't up to par. I do give them points for how hard they are working. And I'd expect the girlfriend would give them full points as her chicken and pasta was quite tasty. I think I will go back and give them another try on a different day. Hoping for a better steak!

We had dinner there last night. We ordered the bloomin onion as an appetizer, my wife ordered potato soup and coconut shrimp. I ordered a hamburger with fries. My wife enjoyed the soup and the shrimp. My hamburger was also very good and cooked as ordered. Also a good sized hamburger. The bloomin onion was a disappointment. It was over cooked, too spicy and the dip was also too spicy for us. The waitress, without us asking, took the onion off the bill(we mentioned our disappointment but did not ask for a credit). She was excellent(don't know her name, but she had red hair). We would go back there, but will stay away from the onion.

0 stars on our visit Monday evening. Quality & service has really gone down, but their prices remain high! My family, 4 of us, arrived early for dinner with very few people there & plenty of open tables. They sat us near the kitchen door. At first it didn't bother us, but after an hour, we were tired of the wait staff saying "corner" each & every time a wait staff entered the kitchen to prevent a collision. They yelled it out! A $50-$60 bill doesn't warrant the staff yelling 15 feet from our booth. I ordered the 9oz Sirloin medium. It came tasting like leather, even though it had a runny pink center, & it had many chewy places throughout. Our waitress said "that's what you get when you order a Sirloin" & offered no help then walked off to help someone else. I was on my own with a tough steak. Not the Outback quality I've experienced many times past. What ever happened to customer satisfaction? It was quite obvious our waitress was under tremendous stress the entire time she waited on us & the place wasn't even busy yet! It'll be a long time before we go to any Outback & I wonder about their future. They need a management & food quality renovation! So sad!

Awesome food, awesome service, and an awesome Mother's Day!!! Steak was very juicy, appetizers were hot and fresh and desert hit the spot!

Went here with family. Food was good, but service needed some improvement. May just have been my server though. They also had the music so loud my wife and I could not converse without shouting. We are both fans of Outback but we were disappointed on our visit here.

i dont know if i will ever eat there again. i have ate at this particular outback for over 15 yrs, it was one of the best places to eat in town. the last 4 or 5 times i went within the last 6 months or so, it was terrible! the wait staff were not really on there game (being nice) and the steaks were about 40% gristle and dry.definitely NOT worth the money and better steak houses in town. my friend is a cook there and i asked what was going on, he told me that they changed meat distributors opting for cheaper meat to accommodate the cheaper prices like for the "lunch specials". less price, less quality i guess. plus side is that the blooming onion and sea food was still good, but if you are going to OUTBACK STEAK HOUSE for a, well steak....better to go some where else.

What's happened to Outback? It used to be great. You used to get a nice salad and big, fat, juicy steak. Now you get some lettuce with a lot of dressing and a dried up piece of beef jerky that's been overcooked! I feel like they charge you for a nice meal and what you get is like the food in the mess on a U.S. Navy ship.
