We have tried this place more than once simply because it is close to home. Unfortunately our experience each time has not been positive. In the three different visits we have found the place to be a wreck... You have a dirty store once it could be a fluke after a party but upon the third visit we realized this is the norm. The yogurt itself is not bad but with the cleanliness of this place I question what is in the machines themselves. The owner was unfriendly and in disarray and so when we learned that Fuzzy Peach was across the street it was an easy decision to never visit again.

I have never written a Yelp review before. Suffice to say that my experience was SO bad that I had to change that. My daughters and I tried two different flavors, and the machines weren't working. We patiently waited for the young employee to finish with the previous customer and asked her if we were doing something wrong since they wouldn't work. She wordlessly went to the machine, checked the settings, and replied with "It's on. I don't know what to tell you." Flabbergasted, I again waited for her to finish with another customer. The customer accidentally spilled something and asked for napkins. She rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed and handed her a stack. She then waited for the customer to turn around and motioned silently towards the door as if to imply she was shoving them out. She then huffed some more, in clear disgust that something had spilled (and been cleaned up!). I let her know that I saw what she had done and that it clearly was an accident. I asked if she could fix the machine for us. She said, "I told you it's on. So it must be messed up and I don't know how to fix it." She refused to give me the manager's number, so my hope is that the manager will see this and will care enough about his business to promptly act. I would be appalled to know someone was representing me with this type of behavior. Not to mention broken machines and no one who knows how to repair them.

I've only had the cupcakes wow! Even the cake portion is delicious. They have very interesting flavors, the salted caramel being my favorite.

We walked in after eating at a nearby restaurant at 8:50pm. Three of us ready to spend money on three desserts. We were told before being fully inside the place that she "is closing but ok I guess to come in". The blue haired young lady was unprofessional, discourteous, and simply rude right from the start. Not to mention appeared to be a complete mess, with her shirt falling off her shoulders, glasses slipping, not caring about anything. When one of the people in our party asked about a flavor, the employee said "I don't eat that one". Very odd. When one purchase was made my friend said "yes maam" as a polite response to the employees short "is that all"? The employees reply to the "yes ma'am" was "I'm too young to be a ma'am". Very rude. I put my selection down and walked out. Unbelievable careless disrespect. If you don't want customers to walk in during business hours I suggest you lock the doors. I won't set foot in that business and I hope the owner knows it. (The cupcake was ok, moist, but not worth the attitude or the $3+ cost. The froyo was good for the first few spoonfuls but was soon discarded.). Not worth returning for a second chance...and not all because of the desserts ...

My husband and I are regulars and notice some worrisome trends in the winter months. My 2 recent experiences of FreshBerry have been poor. Their caramel pretzel froyo flavor is awesome but Saturday night we brought a group of 5 additional friends to get Froyo with us after eating at K38. Some machines weren't working. We arrived at FreshBerry at about 8PM and the smell of bleach almost knocked us down because the attendant was getting ready to close (9pm closing time on window for Saturday nights and we arrived at 8). Floors were slippery and after we sat, she continued to mop the place with bleach. A family of 4 followed soon after with little kids that were slilpping. Another instance with a different attendant, my husband and I entered with my brother visiting from Japan and another from Illinois about 8PM on a weekend night and the girl was trying to run to the door to lock it on us. Tons of machines weren't working because "she had to clean them for tomorrow". Needless to say, I was embarrassed at the mere fact I suggested the place to our friends and relatives. Froyo no-go but still a cupcake success.

I originally went to Freshberry for the yogurt. First, the frozen yogurt flavors actually taste like what they are named. At other yogurt stores, you can taste a hint of a flavor. At Freshberry, if you closed your eyes and were asked to guess the flavor, you would know exactly what it was. What's nice about Freshberry is that you can try any new flavors to see if you want to purchase more. It's nice that the signs above the flavors tell you if it's non-fat or low-fat, and there is a list posted of the nutritional values. The cupcakes honestly have to be among the best I have ever tasted. My favorite is the Stuffed Cinnamon French Toast. It is a white cake, with delicious cinnamony-maple buttercream on top and in the middle, PLUS bits of REAL bacon on top. You actually feel like you are eating French Toast with maple syrup with strips of bacon in a dessert format. What could be better? I love the refreshing Lemon cupcakes too as well as the Peanut butter cup muffins. Scrumptious! And if you like your cupcakes plainer, you can usually get them sans icing. I, personally, love the icing. The atmosphere in the Freshberry shop is bright and cheerful, yet cozy and inviting. It's nice to just sit with friends and talk while enjoying your frozen yogurt or cupcake. I never feel rushed. . So, if you are in the Porters Neck area of Wilmington, I highly recommend stopping by this frozen yogurt store. Once you try it, you'll be hooked like I am!

Located in Porters Neck Center, FreshBerry is an all natural frozen yogurt cafe. The menu features fruit smoothies with an ample choice of fresh fruit toppings, yogurt by the pint or quart, and FreshPops frozen yogurt pops made from FreshBerry frozen yogurt. Along with their yogurt and smoothies, they offer Smallcakes cupcakes. If you're unfamiliar with Smallcakes cupcakes here's a brief description from their own website "After appearances on the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars" seasons one and two as well as on the hit daytime talk show "The View," Smallcakes became well known and in hot demand in neighborhoods across the nation." The cupcakes are baked fresh daily and frosted daily. They have 15 different made-from-scratch flavors as well as specialty flavors. Not all flavors are available every day, so I guess it just depends on what the girls feel like making that morning. I ordered 5 different cupcakes, just wanting to try a little assortment. I ordered the Banana Split, Caramel Fudge Cream, Reese's, Boston Cream Pie and Red Velvet. They were all REALLY good! The cupcakes were moist and the frostings were delicious. The cream cheese on the Red Velvet was probably one of the best cream cheese frostings I've ever had. The yogurt bar is good too, but it's your regular yogurt bar with assorted toppings. I will say, their fruit was the nicest fruit of any bar I've been too. It was fresh, sweet and not smushed in the least bit. I'm glad I live about an hour away, If I were closer I'd be going way too often! If you haven't stopped in yet to try their stuff, you need to!
