Burger was decent, fries were kinda nasty. Way overpriced for what you get. $14.50 for a kids burger and their loaded fries?? Won't be back.

I was intrigued by the promise of organic local burgers , so I stopped in at elevation burger for lunch. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly, chatting with the customers and checking in on them. I ordered the basic elevation burger. The patty itself was very good, lots of flavor and not too greasy. However, the bun it was on was a huge disappointment - a soft, squishy, McDonald's style bun. A burger like this deserves better than that. The olive oil fries were decent, but not worth $3. Overall, this was an enjoyable experience, but not quite worth the price.

I have been here now 3 times. The first two times I had the burger combos and I thought they were good. About on-par with 5 Guys, only it makes me feel healthier since I can see the calories noted for each burger, and friendlier knowing the meat is probably sourced pretty well. For casual business lunches, it's still a nice change of pace from the big chain places in the shopping center. However, this 3rd time I went in, I only stopped by after running other errands and had heard the milkshakes were great, so I ordered one up before noon (11:54am according to the receipt). At 12:05pm, I was still waiting for it, making stern eyes at those behind the counter that might glance my way, signalling "hey, remember me and the one milkshake I ordered". At 12:15pm, I still hadn't seen anyone get close to the milkshake makin' station, so I asked that they cancel the order. To their credit, the manager did offer to make the milkshake right then, but I think my patience was at it's end. Since no one had even begun the order, I just left the receipt with them.

Good burgers and fries and shakes. I would never get a soda out of the all in one machine they have! Seriously, just sit and watch people, particularly kids use it. I would need to wash my hands afterwards, and then I couldn't drink what came out of the one spout that everything comes out. Nasty!

I was hoping this place would serve better burgers than any of the typical fast food joints but unfortunately it's actually equal to worse. Today's triple w bacon was dry, tough and flavorless. Way overlooked. Soggy fries. And I'm sorry. This place isn't going to last.

Not impressed. I had a coupon for a free burger so decided to try it out. Service was slow and requested burger toppings omitted. They did not bring out the entire order together (only 2 burgers, 2 fries, and a milkshake) They brought over the burgers several minutes before the fries were ready and forgot the milkshake. Milkshakes are pretty much icecram in a cup. It wasn't bad but pretty much just average. I probably won't return and wouldn't recommend the place.

There are tons of somewhat higher end burger places around nowadays so it's pretty easy to find a decent one. That's pretty much how I would describe this one. Totally decent, but not one I would go out of my way for. They get definite props for using grass fed beef, but I wish they had more topping choices - as it stands it's a bit less than Five Guys. Their fries are pretty good - they use olive oil which makes for a different flavor that's a bit odd at first, but don't be fooled, it doesn't make them healthy. All in all, I would eat here again if I were in the area, as there was nothing I didn't like food-wise, but Briar Creek is a bit far away for me, and there are better burgers much closer.

I've had a solid amount of visits to Elevation Burger since they opened, and the thing that bothers me is the horrible inconsistency of each visit. To give you some perspective, I've tried a regular kids burger with cheese and bacon, and normally split fries with someone. I always get a cinnamon orange iced tea (because it is absolutely delicious). My first 2-3 visits were great. I took friends, they enjoyed their food, and service was speedy. The next time, the bacon was...ew. It was chewy and seemed undercooked. I didn't worry about it much, even though a coworker said the same thing. I figured they were just having an off day. Fries were usually hit or miss. The first time, they were mostly soggy, but every time after that, I've enjoyed them and they are a bit more crisp. The last time I went, the whole experience was underwhelming and mediocre at best. I went at lunch (around 12:10 pm). It took at least 15 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got my burger. When I got it, the bacon was gross again. When I pointed it out to who I presumed to be the owner/manager, he stated "Well, it actually is fully cooked. We got a lot of complaints about the bacon being crispy, and people wanted it floppy." Really? Ew. I don't want pink, floppy bacon on my burger. He kept offering a refund, which I didn't accept. I just wanted crispier bacon. I sent it back, and it came out 10 minutes later with floppy bacon again. At this point, I just removed it. I figured that the manager would have actually ensured that the bacon was better, but I was really disappointed that he didn't. I'm trying it again today and hope to have a more positive experience. I was really hoping that this place would do well, but with the way that it is currently going, they may be a business that doesn't remain in the Brier Creek area for long.

Not the best burger organic or not.......too much hype and too expensive for a small portions.

Came here the other day after a group of friends decided to meet for dinner before mini golf. After reading reviews online I was less than thrilled about heading here as it seemed exactly like BurgerFi, which I wasn't a fan of at all (see previous review). Elevation Burger exceeded my expectations (which were pretty darn low to begin with) but there are some things that need improvement. First off, the burger. I got the double patty burger with lettuce and tomato and it was pretty darn tasty. And filling! One of my main complaints with BurgerFi was that the burger I got there was thin and skimpy. The double burger at Elevation was juicy, thick enough, and the lettuce and tomato were fresh and plentiful. I also had an order of fries and they were pretty good. Not the best fries I've ever had, but definitely good, and there were a lot. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and someone came out to actually serve our order to the table (another thing that annoyed me about BurgerFi is that you had to pick up your own food after your buzzer rings). Now, my complaints. I'll start with the biggest. I spent almost $11 for a burger, fries and water. I could have gone to a ton of other restaurants and had a bigger burger, fries, and a soda for the same price. Granted, it would not have been organic and grass fed and whatnot, but that's not very important to me at this point in my life. Money is. My second complaint is the water cups. I really wanted a soda but couldn't justify another $3 for it so I ordered water. And got handed the tiniest cup I've ever seen. I'm not exaggerating when I say it probably held 4 oz or so. So three separate times during my meal I have to get up and refill it, which really detracted from the whole experience. My third complaint has to do with the fries. They were good, but the order easily could have been split between two people. I didn't know that, and since I was dining sans husband my only option was the $3 order. Elevation Burger really needs a $1.75 fry option for people not sharing. If there had been one I definitely would have ordered a drink or Founder's Cookie as well. Overall, Elevation Burger isn't half bad. It was better than I thought it would be but still expensive for what is it, lacked options that would have made me happy, and seemed to be trying WAY too hard with the "organic" angle. Everywhere you looked the organic aspect was thrown in your face. Some people are really into that I guess. I wouldn't NOT recommend Elevation Burger, but it wouldn't be the first place I'd recommend to others.

I enjoyed my organic burger! I think it's one of those if you're a healthy eater then this fits your palette ..if you can't stray away from yummy greasy stuff then it might go either way. My bf said he can tell the burger tasted different from others he had before. Overall, a good place and I would come back.

Had an elevation burger with bacon and caramelized onions and fries. The burger was cooked well done but still juicy. The bacon was crisp and added great flavor. The onions were chopped but that is a personal preference that they not be. The fries were good and not over salted. I look forward to having another burger.

Solid, tasty burgers with good fries. About organic and healthy as burgers and fries can be. :)

Originally we stopped in here because we had our puppy with us and there is outdoor seating. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a delicious burger, but this was expensive! I got the original elevation burger with the original toppings and carmelized onions. I guess I didn't realize we would be charged additional for cheese since it's in the burger description. Someone brought the food to us outside, but they only gave us one tray, so I had to be awkwardly close to my friend to eat it because I didn't want to drip all over the table. The burger was juicy but not very flavorful. I couldn't really tell what the Elevation Sauce was because I didn't taste much of it. Thankfully it wasn't a complete bust because the fries were very good and they have one of those awesome Coke machines where you can make any flavor soda, so that was good. Overall for 2 fountain drinks, 2 burgers (not with a ton of toppings), 2 fries = $30, whoa! If it had been cheaper I'd visit again, but it was just out of my price range for burgers and fries.

It's a fast food counter, I swore them off years ago, but it's got a Paleo option so gave it a try. Service was good and they keep it really clean. The indoors gets really noisy and it was hard to hold a conversation with anyone sitting farther than right next to you. The burger itself was great, we could taste the grass-fed difference! It was filling, without feeling gross like after other burgers. Sure it's more pricey, but good beef is going to be. Went with the lettuce wrap option, it's incredibly messy! Grab a whole stack of napkins. I think I got a new guy because it didn't seem like they even tried to wrap the toppings in. I ate the burger out of the paper bag and then had all the toppings left in a pile at the bottom. They've got a feedback website and I left them a list of suggestions. Hoping they improve and I can update them with a higher rating.

I came here with my family and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The grassfed burgers are delicious and we love that there is a healthier option to a must have meal for my family. The french fries are delicious and we have enjoyed the shakes. They do take a little longer to make but thats because they are all real ingredients! yum!

Went in thinking it was going to be delish. Went out wishing I had not just spent that much on a burger. The menu was deceitful. The price of the burger was acceptable, until you added anything to it. $1.00 for cheese, $2 for a piece of bacon. Gets pricey if you make a good burger! Fries came completely unsalted. Burger had a lot of gristle in it. It was actually a good sized burger and had potential, but when you have to spit out little chunks of gristle it's not delicious anymore. We won't go back only because for the price we can get better at 5 Guys.

I ordered two milkshakes and after waiting 21 minutes received two milkshakes that were only 3/4 full. All of this for $10.02. Not a fan.

I was very impressed with how healthy the food was (organic, grass fed, etc). I just wish they had a gluten free bun option. I also wish the burger was bigger and tasted better, more like restaurant burgers. Taste is comparable to Wendy's burgers, but again, far more healthy though..

TL;DR Bland burgers; Won't come back. But try it for yourself, you might like it; but I definitely didn't. 5 Guys burgers are waaaaay better than this place. Bang for my buck: Poor What I ordered: Elevation burger(2 patties) with original toppings (Elevation sauce, pickle, lettuce, and onions I think). Yes, your patty is organic or whatever but it's bland. Very bland. I could barely tell by taste that it was meat. I was only convinced it was because I looked at it. Not even seasoned. Elevation sauce: Weak. I saw plenty on the bun but tasted nothing. The only thing I tasted was the pickle. It was salty. Like every other normal pickle. Wait time: pretty lengthy for a piece of burger. Also, the whole calling out the customer while looking confused comes off as tacky and disorganized. The Blue Bunny ice cream and cone box up front looks out of place. While the sink with unfinished dishes behind the register kinda kills the appetite. Customer service is 3/5.

Went after lunch rush, ordered the special fries with cheese and jalapeños, they were special soggy! The main was the cheeseburger even with a couple toppings still couldn't shine through. Burger Fi and Five Guys blows this joint out of the water. Won't be back too many better options if I'm gonna spend that amount of money for burger and fries.

I made sure not to have expectations when I decided to try this place from reading the reviews. I suggested to my friends to try out Elevation Burger because it's a new organic, natural burger joint in Brier Creek. We came during an early dinner rush, but it died down pretty quickly. And because I made to sure to explore the menu beforehand, I was able to secure a table outside in the gorgeous evening weather while my friends ordered for me. It clearly looks like a modern burger chain as per my friend, but it fits right in at Brier Creek. Being that I don't eat meat, I was so happy to see plenty of veggie burger options. But because cheese is extra, I chose veggie burger #1 because it has cheese in the patty. It honestly tasted like Burger King's veggie burger (yes, they have it) but maybe a bit juicier? I got the lettuce instead of a bun, but I won't do that again; it tasted so wrong. Burgers should not be parted with it's yummy carby bun! I added some mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles and caramelized onions. The pickles were a nice crisp tanginess component, but the caramelized onions were essentially pointless. They're not the brown, sweet onion strands you think of when you hear "caramelized." Instead they are finely diced, limp, pale brown onions. However, DO get the mushrooms. They are large and super flavorful. I tasted the charcoal essence as if it was grilled, and it also had a nice, subtle (black)peppery spicy kick. My side of fries (extra $$ btw) were pretty limp=highly disappointed. I rarely eat fries, but I was hoping elevation would wow me or at least make this treat satisfying. I tried my friend's elevation sauce & at first, it tasted like watermelon jolly ranchers. It's very tangy and quite sweet. Strange and no thanks for me. Cool modern drink machine for those who partake in sugary sodas. And it's a great place for families because the outside tables are right next to a grassy space for kids to play in. I'm not compelled to return, but I wouldn't mind eating here again.

Since writing my previous review, I was contacted directly by the owner to apologize for the "sloppy presentation" with an offer to make it up to me. He was very sweet and appreciated my candid feedback on the presentation that was offered to me when I ordered along with informing me that they are currently set up to utilize a different distributor of burger buns -- ones that hold up better to the burgers they offer. I thought that one-on-one customer service and mindfulness that he wanted to ensure that all his customers were in fact happy was incredible. He was very thoughtful and mindful to get back to me often to follow-up with how he could make my experience even better. To be honest, I don't really see that much passion and dedication from owners to customers anymore. That's not to say it doesn't happen but it was very refreshing to see such commitment to the work he has put into Elevation Burger and wanting to uphold his establishment to the core values and mission that they strive to bring to their customers. It really has changed my thoughts on Elevation and I will be going back to visit very shortly -- once I return from traveling!

My family and I tried Elevation for the first time. Obviously what drew us in was the advertising for organic beef and their milkshakes. We are big organic fans so we thought what a great concept. We ordered the elevation burger and my boys had the kids burgers with a side of fries. I took a few bites of the burger and had several pea size bits of fat or possibly gristle that I had to spit out. My youngest son and my husband had to do the same thing. We ended up with a tray of gristle/fat pea size balls. We asked the manager was it common for this to happen...he said it was unusual for there to be that much fat/gristle in the meat. He then apologized and went about his business. My boys asked for ice cream and my husband wanted to try the milkshake which fancy signs around the restaurant indicated how great they were. With hesitancy, we ordered 2 scoops of ice cream and a chocolate malt. It took 20 to 25 minutes for 2 scoops of ice cream and a chocolate malt shake. I went to the register asking why it was taking so long. The man at the counter had a slight attitude saying "I'm making it!" The ice cream was served in water cups and the milkshake was filled halfway in a large cup. Needless to say...it was a very disappointing experience. The place and the advertising was well thought of but the food and the service is what really needs to be worked on. The quality of the food, the service and the management needs to be revamped. If this place would put as much quality in the above issues as it does in its advertising...this could make a great place. Until then...I can't afford to waste my money with a family of four with such poor quality.

Elevation burger was delicious! My burger was just right and the ingredients were fresh. The fries were good but nothing to write home about. The employees were nice and attentive. I'll definitely try it again.

Unfortunately the reviews here are pretty accurate - this place has nice, friendly service, but it's also way overpriced and the food is pretty sub-par. The burger had a bland, almost boiled taste - obviously no hint of charcoal, which is no surprise for fast food, but also no hint of seasoning or even beefy flavor. The lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. was nothing to write home about, neither was the grocery store-style bun. The fries were expensive, soggy and super-salty. There's also no combo meal options so expect to pay around $10 for a burger and fries with no drink. You could actually get off cheaper at an Applebee's type restaurant, even after tip! Two pros besides the friendly service - 1)I like that this place has two veggie burger options (one vegetarian, one vegan) - too bad I don't think I'm going to come back to check out. Also, 2) I like that the calorie counts are on the menu, and the food is relatively healthy. 500 calories for a burger is much better than the typical Hardee's style one that sits around 1000 - it's too bad the burger has about half the taste as well.

We went because of a free burger and came out pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious. They seasoned the mushrooms so thy tasted amazing. The fries are cooked in olive oil and taste great. Maybe a little more salt but I like salty food. They have a coke freestyle which is great.

Don't get me wrong I love that Elevation Burger managed to make its way to NC. I really am. I had previously enjoyed their burgers in DC and never thought I would be one day live down the street from those same burgers. I am one of those people who is prepared to pay more for grass-fed organic burgers (and yes you will pay a lot more here....) but something seems off to me about the food at this location. It's like they just can't seem to get into the groove. One day I'll go the burgers will be great and the fries not too crispy not too limp. I'll go another day and the burger is so raw I can see the blood in the middle and have to take it back to get it remade (I just don't like my burger with a side of E.Coli...call me crazy). One day I'm hoping they'll get more consistent like their other locations. For now, I would come here prepared to have it be a hit or a miss just depending on the weather and the cooks' fancy I guess.

Great Experience! The staff at Elevation burger is polite and professional and the food exceeded my expectations. I had the elevation burger, fries, and a drink and my wife had the elevation burger wrapped in lettuce with a side of oranges. The burgers tasted amazing and the fries were delicious. I appreciate the healthy approach to a traditionally unhealthy meal. The restaurant has a family friendly atmosphere and some kids were outside playing corn hole. The outdoor seating is a great way to enjoy the spring weather. I will definitely be returning to Elevation Burger very soon.

Extremely slow, disorganized. What they aim to do for health with organic they counter with the massive amount of grease dripping from every item. One (ONE) drink machine. Grilled cheese is like none I've ever seen: hamburger inside out with cheese. Disgusting. Illogical. Rude staff. Seriously awful experience. No plates.

I received a coupon and went to the shopping center, walked around and went in for lunch about 12:30 on a Thursday. They were busy but the registers were empty when I went up and the young lady that helped me was nice and told me the coupon was for dine in and that I could get the Elevation burger-double patties for free. I loaded my hamburger and got fries and only spent $3.00. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly. I had caramelized onions, cheese, mushrooms, pickles, mayo and lettuce and tomato-all ingredients were fresh and accented the burger but the meat that was lightly salted and peppered was the star as the meat should be. The bun tasted fresh baked and broke apart it was so soft when I ate the burger. After I ordered they walked the burger too me and again while fairly busy it was a quick wait. The waitress that brought the burger to me came back and checked in as did the manager. Everybody was friendly but unobtrusive and I will go back and enjoyed my visit immensely. I also loved that the coupon offered the Elevation burger-double patty or chicken, vegetarian or a kid's burger. There was something for everyone and they are super clean. The staff when they checked on people kept the trash area and fountain machine well cleaned. I highly recommend!

Burger was great......after I finally got it. And I had been so excited to try this place since we primarily eat organic at home. We waited in line for the one open cashier for 30 minutes--why one cashier when there are two available registers and a pretty long line? Because the kitchen can't keep up, that's why. We then waited another 30 more minutes after ordering to get our food. Unacceptable. After watching a couple of people who had been behind us in line get their food, we walked up to the counter and asked for ours by name. Our tray was off to the side in the kitchen but we were assured, when I asked how long it had been there, that "the fries are still hot," and told, "we can't help it, we're swamped," while pointing to the open tickets in the kitchen. Also unacceptable. This was our first visit thanks to a flyer they had sent out. I hope they didn't do it to showcase how fab they are. You gotta staff up, especially in the kitchen. A field trip to Five Guys could tell you how many people it takes.

Visited for the first time for lunch today, 11/14/13. It looks like a fast food place. But it took 18 minutes to get our food. And we were ahead of the lunch rush. The burger itself tasted decent, more "beefy" than any other fast food chain for sure, and better than many casual dining chain restaurant burgers. The bacon was inedible because it was so under cooked. (That was the most common complaint I read in reviews, but I hoped it would be different.) The fries were great. They have one of those fancy, high-tech soda machines where you can fix your own soda and mix a ton of flavors. My husband had the standard "elevation" burger (2 patties) with a couple extra charge toppings, fries, and a bottled root beer. I had the same burger with 3 extra charge toppings, fries, and a water cup. The total was around $27. Because of the wait, the price, and the bacon, we won't be going back.

A marketing gimmick gone awry. They tease you with quality and an environmental message, but it's just a hoax. Sure, the beef is organic and they use olive oil for fries. That's great, if we're comparing this place to Burger King or McDonald's, but the price is about double those places. Everything else on the menu is the same crap. Squishy bleached white buns, iceberg lettuce, a coca cola machine filled with GMO corn syrup and artificial flavors and colors, pre-made packaged salads, corn syrup based ketchup, and underripe mealy, tomatoes. This company doesn't actually have any values or standards--they lure you with the promise of quality beef, and then conveniently skimp on everything else. If you want a good greasy burger, go to Five Guys or heck, even Wendy's for a lot less money. If you want to pay $13 for a burger and fries and not have it weigh on your conscience, go to Bull City Burger, where everything is local, natural and made in-house (and delicious), and they back up their quality commitment by serving only Boylan natural sodas. Seriously, you'll spend the same or less money for a vastly superior meal at a local business with actual standards and values. Elevation pretends to have a high-end, natural product and charges a hefty price, but they don't have the flavor, values, service, or quality to back it up.

Not a fan. Food is blah. I like the concept of being all natural, but you can get better burgers elsewhere.

Burgers taste pretty good and the people that work there are friendly. I think it's expensive for what it is. A fried double hamburger on bread. Cheese is extra. So prepare to spend $20 - $30 feeding two people burgers/fries and drinks. Each time I go, I think it's mediocre, but then a few weeks later I start craving one of their burgers again. So they earn the 3rd star because I keep going back. One last comment: ... it's clean in there. No putting your elbow in someone else's filth. I'll take a mediocre burger in a clean place over a great burger in a dirty restaurant any day.

I had the kids burger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and the sauce. I could have had the same quality burger at McDonald's. I also splurged on a chocolate shake and it just reminded me of just melted ice cream. For all the hype and "grass-fed" beef, I'll stick with five guys.

I decide to try this place for the 1st time since I hear good things about it. When I went there everything was a little over priced and adding bacon was $1.50 extra and not much options for toppings . No combo or any specials. After ordering I waited for about 20 mins but the people who ordered after me got their food instantly. Doesn't take long to make a burger just the meat and bun with bacon and fries. I went next door to pre order a game which took less than 5 mins and by the time I came back my food still was not ready. I paid $12 for a burger and fries and very disappointed it tasted like a burger I would get at McDonalds Dollar Menu burger.

  • Mark M.

OK, but could be better. I went there around 8pm so there was no one in front of me. I paid over $10 for a double burger and fries. The food came out in about 8 minutes, a few minutes longer than at Wendy's or McDonalds. The burger was very juicy but my cheese was hardly even melted. The french fries tasted home made but I expected a little better. I would have liked thicker cut fries. What they gave me looked a little messy. It was very tasty but I'm not sure it was worth the $3. The young staff there (because that's what they are) were very polite. One even asked me if I needed anything with my to go order. However, considering that this place just opened, I would have expected to see someone working who was obviously the manager. I couldn't tell who was in charge. They all seemed to be working the line. I would go back but probably not more than once a month or so.

delicious burger and fries. they list the calories for everything onthe menu, which i like. nice clean atmosphere. my bf liked the picnic table inside lol. the jalapeños are fresh. the cheese is full of flavor. small burgers BUT a double patty. imo, if you're going to a place to get an organic meal, don't be surprised at the price. the burger I had was $8.00. idk if it was worth it to me... Happy hour at Ruth's Chris has a $8 burger thats way more satisfying. idk if ill be back but I wouldn't mind going again if all my friends were going. Great drink selection there.

One of the best burgers I have had in a long time! I typically try not to eat red meat however I splurged and it was completely worth it. The service and atmosphere was great. Also, the beef is grass fed which was a nice feature. My family and I had an awesome experience I would highly recommend elevation burger!

Being able to spend my money on food that doesn't support big agri-business and their profit-centric methodology of low quality, hormone injected, toxic grain fed livestock, is a pleasure and I will usually choose a more humane, more healthful option if I can. Elevation burger is long overdue for folks who like a good burger but want to eat it with a more clear conscience. The place needs a little work though. They could offer a whole grain bun. The Elevation sauce does nothing to elevate the taste of the burger, just give me some Texas Pete or Tabasco. Fries cooked in "heart healthy" olive oil? Sorry, but anything fried is not going to be heart healthy. Heating the oil to that temperature takes away most if not all the benefits and most likely makes it unhealthy. Grass-fed beef tends to be less tasty than grain fed. At least that seems to be what I have found so far. Its a compromise I'm willing to accept, but maybe adding something in the way of flavor (herbs, spices) to the meat would help. I don't know, I'm not a much of a cook myself. Eating shouldn't always be about the best taste, it should be about what's best. Your taste buds will not lead you to good health. If you just want the tastiest burger you can buy then go somewhere else. If you want to help make a difference and support a company that has concern for more than their bottom line then choose a place like Elevation burger. You vote with every dollar you spend. I agree the flavor could be better, but happy to have this place. I may still go to Guys once in a while (because its really good, and its close to the Goodberry's). Ok, I'm not perfect.

Food is consistently good and staff is consistently friendly. They have a good selection (two types of veggies burgers) and oranges or salad instead of fries. The speed of service, however, is significantly lacking. Even when not busy, it takes a very long time to get food. This is consistent. It actually seems worse when they are not busy. The kitchen is open and it seems there is always some confusion about who is supposed to be doing what. I think 20 minutes is not acceptable time to wait for a burger. Even for a really good burger, which these are. If you don't mind the wait, the food is very good.

You can guarantee that if you're sitting in a restaurant thinking about all the other possible places you could have picked to eat you've made the wrong choice. For months I've been seeing this place as I pulled into Brier Creek and imagining the burgers. Would this be the answer to a healthier, free-range Five Guys? No. After walking in, I instantly tripped on a buckled floor with no marking for safety. So, of course I looked around to see if anyone saw me trip. My mistake. There was no one else there to see it. Lucky me! Of course, when I approached the counter to order there was also no one there save for one woman who kept finding everything else to do aside from greeting a paying customer. I had half a mind to walk out and spend money elsewhere. But, she eventually took my order and I went to get my drink and sit down. The iced tea was disappointing. It tasted stale and powdery. In the land of brewed iced tea this was incredibly disappointing. But while I was getting my drink I saw where the other employees were: all on break. They were sitting around and conversing and no one got up to work on my order. The guy that ran the grill station eventually got up and tied an apron on, but was back out of the kitchen too quickly to grill a burger in any natural way. So, when my burger finally came it was lackluster and tough. The fries were the only redeeming part of my experience and I've had better fries at drive-thrus. All-in-all, skip it.

Elevation Burger is essentially a Five Guys with organic, grass-fed, free-range beef. I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and the place was about half full. I got an Elevation Burger--their standard burger which contains two patties -- and topped it with swiss cheese, jalapeños, hot pepper relish, and elevation sauce. The burger was pretty standard, nothing really mind blowing. The service was a little slow, I'm not sure if they were training people in or everyone was new, but it seemed like my order took forever given the 5 people in the back cooking up the food and a relatively simple menu. The tray I got my food on was also recently washed but not dried so I had little puddles of water all over it... not exactly a plus. The pricing was fair for what you got: A burger runs about $6 dollars, maybe more if you get certain toppings. Fries are about $3, and an added drink is $2. So if you're looking for a full meal you're going to spend over $10. I didn't see any 'combos' available to get all of the above at a reduced price. Overall if you're in the mood for a burger, Elevation Burger will do the job, just don't expect an experience that's 'elevated'.

I have to admit I didn't have super high expectations when I came here as everything about it seemed like yet another burger place. I was pleasantly surprised by how juicy and tasty my burger was! I got the option to wrap it in lettuce instead of buns and the added succulence from the lettuce complimented the burger very well. The disappointment was the cheese fries: a piece of what looked like Kraft cheese singles (I know it was something much healthier and organic although it just didn't look that appetizing) melted over the fries.

A little surprised that there are some low reviews for this place as my 10 or so experiences here have all been good regarding the food and service. Favorite burger spot in town? No, but a solid burger experience. I typically go with the lettuce wrap rather than the bun to cut out some carbs and it compliments the burger well. Much better lettuce wrap here than at Five Guys in my opinion. You'll need some extra napkins if you go with the lettuce wrap option.

The food at Elevation is really good, but the service can definitely be spotty. Elevation Burger is in Brier Creek, and I first discovered it when we were looking for a quick and easy lunch, shortly after they opened. It was fantastic! Easy to order and the food was brought to us quickly. They make a delicious burger and fries. The next time we went was before a movie. We didn't have much time, so we wanted to stop for something quick. The service this time was terrible. The person working the counter was rude and it took forever to get our food. We had to scarf it down so we could make our movie on time. I will try Elevation Burger again because their food is great and I'm hoping my last visit was just on an off night.

The burger itself was pretty good. I appreciate that it's grass fed and hormone-free, but I have to admit there are much better burgers to be had in Raleigh. The fries are very tasty. They only fill the milkshakes about 3/4 of the way full, which makes it look like they're cheating you a bit when they should really probably just get smaller cups and drop the price (I suspect the canister they pour the mix from is just smaller than their soda cups). The restaurant would be hovering in the 3.5 range, with me perhaps bumping them to a nice round 4, if it were not for the service. Unfortunately, an order of fries was either sent to another table or forgotten entirely, and after pointing this out to staff it still took a very long time to get them. They responded with sending over double fries, and while the gesture was appreciated it didn't make up for the fact that everyone was done with their burger already. More attention to detail would be helpful. I'll perhaps try Elevation Burger again in the future, since I head to Brier Creek from time to time. I have to admit, though, it's going to be a hard sell for me with Red Robin just around the corner.

Good "fast food" type of burger but organic, grass-fed beef. It's not the best burger I've had but it's a great option for a quick meal. I went because I had a gift card but will definitely go back.

Good food and friendly service but the experience can be a little hit or miss. The first time I visited the place was top notch and the owner came by and asked how our meal was. The second time, when ordering we saw the the kitchen was a figurative and literal mess and after we got our drinks we realized the entire restaurant had yet to get their food and everyone in the restaurant was pissed about it. Overall our meal was still great both times, just be prepared and patient during the chaos of peak dinner hours.

Freshly ground, 100% organic, grass fed, free range burgers!! What more could you ask for? Great toppings, milkshakes with real, fresh ingredients and amazing staff.. This may be my new favorite burger joint. The best news is, it's a good as it sounds, and the pricing is super reasonable!! Two thumbs up and 5 stars!!

Amazing burgers and staff. We were a large party close to 50 people. I can't explain how awesome the staff was. They got everyones orders in and the food came out quickly and was delicious. The staff was beyond professional and very nice. They were attentive and did everything with a smile. The burgers and fries came out hot and I enjoyed every bite. Elevation burger is definitely a family favorite.

I don't usually write reviews for places I don't love but I expected this to be more like BurgerFi but it was rather disappointing. The food just wasn't awesome. I'd rather make the drive to BurgerFi. Or Wendy's. :/

I made the classic mistake of going to a burger place and not ordering a burger. I got the chicken strips and fries. The fries were awesome but the chicken strips were not. I ordered it because I thought they were chicken strips like you get from Chick fil a....my bad, I read the menu wrong. They were grilled chicken strips that were dry, flavorless and super tiny. I wish I had taken a picture of them but I really wished that I had order something else. One of the employees could see the WTF look on my face and asked if everything was ok. I told her I made a mistake and she offered to do something about it but I decided to take one on the chin. Great service, great fries and I am sure the burgers are good.

Not impressed with this burger joint at all. Comparing it to Smashburger and even Five Guys, and it just falls short. Even though they promote the organic, grass-fed, free-range beef, the burgers had no flavor, and the fries left a greasy film in my mouth. Too many other choices for my dining dollars - will not return.

I went back to Elevation, and I'm changing my rating. First, full disclosure. I was contacted by the owner who was very concerned about my poor experience. He offered to by me and a friend lunch in exchange for coming back in, giving it another try, and talking to him about my past and current experience. I asked him if he wanted me to write an update, and he said no. He was not interested in an update but in fully working on the issues I had outlined in my review. I believe him, but I couldn't let the 2-star review sit there like that. As I see it, one of the purposes of Yelp is to improve our overall experiences, and that is exactly what happened here. The owner is very committed to addressing things that go wrong. Case in point: The lack of blue cheese dressing on my burger. He explained to me that few people order the blue cheese dressing. So when I complained about not having any, he noticed that the way they went about putting it on he burgers was not very systematic. Some people got a lot, and some people got very little. But knowing what my experience was like brought it to his attention to make sure it was done in a more consistent manner (and that more was added). We also discussed the buns, which I know a lot of people on here are not big fans of. Since Elevation is a chain, there are certain expectations of how it will look, what gets used, etc...and the buns are something that are not in his immediate control. So how was my second meal? Much, much better. I explained to him that in my first meal, my burger had come out squished and sad looking, but this time around it did not. Again, that is something that can be worked on in house and is being addressed. My food was noticeably warmer this time. I hadn't considered it to be cold before, but I could tell it was much fresher with the second go around - a point I also made. At the end of the day, I am thankful for this experience. In Elevation, I found an owner who is very responsive, listens, and wants to make sure the food is as good as can be. I believe that through this process we were able to make a few things about the overall experience better. SO...if you have a less than positive experience, ask to speak with the owner. He will listen and he will work to make the changes that are within his control. I'm bumping this up to 5-star because I cannot think of any suggestions for making this second experience any better....Ok...one, but it is minor...different dipping sauces for the fries would be awesome.

Elevation burger is a burger joint that is a healthier alternative to the traditional, greasy, cheeseburger. The burgers here have great taste, but because of the organic style menu be prepared to spend 10 bucks on your quarter pounder sized burger. Their are tons of toppings to choose from and the French fries are amazing! A little too expensive for a burger and fries if you ask me, but the taste is really good. The reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of the cost of a meal.

I have been to other Elevation Burger locations and had wonderful experiences, but this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The order was taken incorrectly... A lot of my toppings weren't included. They ran out of tea (which I told them at the beginning of this experience). It was never remedied. My husband's and my order came to the table about 5 minutes apart. I was handed my burger in its wrapper without a tray. They needed to see our receipt to see what he ordered. I asked for some plastic wear to eat my burger. I was given a fork and a long spoon... No knife. Our fries were cold. My burger had gristle. All in all, it was a horrible experience. We will not be back.

Burger was good, other than the fact that they gave me the top of the tomato with the tough center. Acoustics are horrible, shake machine running and the guy slamming the tool to cut the fresh fries was a little overwhelming. Plus there were three small kids that had voices like Charlie Browns teacher on helium, but that can happen anywhere. Fries were OK, a little soggy for my liking but tasty none the less. I'll be back, with ear plugs.

I've visited Elevation Burger at least 3 more times since they had the Yelp Event before they opened and sadly, each experience is worse than the last. Their burgers are kinda pricey, but seeing as they're serving organic, grass-fed beef, I can see the reason. But adding $1 for aged cheddar? That's a bit much. I'd still pay it though, if my burgers came out the same each time. Sometimes it's overcooked, sometimes there's a lot of gristle, sometimes it's undercooked....I'm never sure what I'll get. Same with the fries. Now...I LOVE shoe-string fries, they're my absolute favorite because they're all around crunchy, plus they fry their fries in olive oil, so it makes me think I'm not being as bad. But sometimes they come out crunchy, sometimes they're super soggy. It's disappointing. The only saving grace is that their milkshakes are always consistent. I've settled on my coffee-cheesecake-oreo shake and it is absolutely delicious each and every time. It's probably the only thing that keeps me coming back at this point...I figure, since I'm there for the milkshake, I might as well give their burger and fries another chance. I'm not sure how long this will keep up though. I'm pretty sad about it all because Elevation Burger has such potential.

Hands down the worst burger I've ever had. The meat was not good. They forgot toppings. Someone ask how it was, I told them what they forgot, he said he'd be back but never came. The fries were great, however, thus the 2 stars. I most certainly will not be back.

This place knocked my socks off. I ate my burger so fast I'm just now enjoying it (as it digests) Details: originally ordered online but the order somehow got lost. Although by the time I got there I was on the verge of crying because I was so hungry, I was still earlier than my pick up time--which wasn't all that big of a deal because they didn't have it in the system so I proceeded to order it again. (The manager was very apologetic---listen, I understand, stuff happens...I'm not upset--but I am hungry!) I got it to go. Finally got home, I had a million things in my hand. I literally almost dropped everything on one of the dogs in attempts to rip into the bag upon arriving. I got the Elevation burger with two patties, two slices of cheese, Elevation style (I believe it was lettuce tomato pickles and special sauce) with fries. It's important to note, the older I get the more anal I've become about the meat being used and at this point I can taste the difference between a fresh organic burger and the cheapest beef product a company is willing to buy. I can say, this is the freshest burger I've ever had. The cheese, although, I've learned to settle for processed, is 6 month old sharp cheddar. I kid you not--I was eating the cheese off the wrapper. With the tastiness of the burger, the cheese, and the toppings it was PERFECT! The fries were pretty good as well. My concern was since it would be a good 20-30 mins later that I would be getting to the fries that they would be nasty...but they were still good! For the 2 patties I got, cheese (.50 cents a slice, I got two), and toppings it was 5.99+1.00=7.00 dollars, fries 3.00 dollars...totally worth it! I would not change a thing about my experience!! I'm very satisfied and plan to go back.

Well, no zombie apocalypse was needed to force me through those doors again, but a little communication with the manager of the establishment did. He messaged me here on Yelp and offered to pay for my wife and I to come by again just to give it another chance. We politely declined, but based on his honesty and generosity alone, we felt it was fair to give the place another chance. So today we went in and this time, I decided to keep it simple by having one patty instead of two, with some mushrooms as well. It was the vegan veggie burger #2 again, but this time, I decided to be a pickier consumer and I asked for the patty to be cooked a tad bit longer, in hopes to strengthen the texture. The service was polite and fast as usual, I can't argue with that. And when my burger came out it was time for round two. I took a bite and well, it wasn't perfect. But it was better than before. It was good to the point that I was reasonably happy with the texture rather than disappointed and somewhat disgusted. The flavors were great, the ingredients indeed were fresh and I was satisfied. However, only one issue occurred. My sister in law was our company this time and when bringing out her burger, it was missing a few toppings. Not a huge problem as they corrected it without any hassle, but it is a point to make. Also, the caramelized onions weren't quite the definition of caramelized. Consistency may be the biggest issue with Elevation Burger, it's a good secure feeling to have when entering a restaurant and knowing your order will be good like every other visit before. It seems here that it's a gamble sometimes. In the end though, I commend Marc F for being a shining example of what I believe all restaurant management should strive to be, responsible, honest and accountable. Thanks again Marc for your honest and professional communication with me,

Glad we tried this place. Kind of like In-n-Out meets Five Guys. Got a "Kids Burger". Nothing kiddy about it, just means it was a standard, single patty. Meat is organic, grass fed beef and definitely good quality. Not super greasy like many fastfood chains. The hubs got an "Elevation Burger" which is 2 patties. Said it was a bit too much food for him but didnt stop him from devouring it. The fries were possibly the best part! Natural cut, thin, with a light crisp. One order is more than enough for 2 people. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Glad for another burger option in brier creek that is healthier/higher quality than your normal fast food. Edit: Wrote this review before getting my food. Although I had been there previously and the burgers were good, the most recent time it was probably one of the best burgers I've had in the area. Looking forward to next visit!

There are no words for how good the food is here. This place has the best Veggie Burgers I've ever had. Also, the fries are cooked in olive oil which makes them taste amazing! The staff is friendly and energetic and is quick to get your food to you. Anytime I go there the owner is there and he makes sure that staff is doing their job right.

I love the cleanliness and energy that comes from recently opened restaurants. At this particular location, everyone is very friendly and the service reminds me of the southern hospitality that a lot of other fast food restaurants in the area have (Chic-fil-a, PDQ, etc.) I definitely see what people mean about the burger meat having a different texture from other typical quick serve fast food places. I ordered the kiddie burger, aka the single patty, while the regular Elevation burger comes with two. No complaints since it was cheaper. I like the featured add-ons and enjoyed the Elevation Sauce, which added a tangy kick. Most toppings are standard, though I appreciate the option for some rarer ones like hot pepper relish and raw and/or caramelized onions. I also love that they have so many options for vegetarians. Not that I would come here all of the time, but for what it's worth, this EB location made a fine impression on someone who is not particularly fond of burgers.

This isn't just another burger option: 1) the beef is grass fed and free range, I can count with my hands the number of restaurants that do this nationwide. Better for the environment, better for your health. 2) if you are celiac, gluten intolerant or on a low carb diet you can have your burger wrapped in lettuce and not missed out. 3) everytime I have been in here the owner is always helpful and working his best to make our experience more enjoyable. 4) their fries are cooked in olive oil. All in all, awesome HEALTHY fast food.

A free burger voucher brought me into Elevation Burger one free afternoon in Brier Creek. The resturant itself has great seating both in and outside as well as a newfangled pop machine. I waited in line and then placed my order with the cashier, one of many with the mailed burger coupon that was sent out in the area. Being one not normally one to free load off an awesome offer, I ordered the burger, fries and a shake to give back to the business. The cashier missed my order for fries, but I let it go as I took it as a sign that I could miss the extra saturated calories. I waited at a high top counter near the front window for my name to be called by a runner and took my meal to go. The burger itself was great, but I've had better for cheaper. It was made fresh and you get a fair option of toppings to customize your burger, but it was nothing trend setting or innovative. I ordered a vanilla shake with strawberries and blueberries, assuming fresh berries would be inside. What I found was a 3/4 full shake with wisps of red and blueberry fragments in it. If all their shakes are misfires like that, I wouldn't order one again. Overall Elevation is aight if you are in Brier Creek and in the mood for a burger beyond fastfood. They could improve their delivery by adapting a better method of running food rather than shouting out names when the order is ready.

This really reminded me of five guys burgers. It's funny I have cravings for five guys when I haven't had it in along time (the feeling will be similar for elevation burger). After I eat there those cravings are relieved and I wish I had never eaten there in the first place. That being said I feel the burger was better than five guys and the French fries were good but kind of greasy. Honestly for 12 dollars to buy me a burger, fries, and a drink I feel that is a bit high. All in all go try it for yourself, you may really like it. It is definitely worth a try.

I heard great things about Elevation Burger from fellow Yelpers and from my hair stylist. When I was in Brier Creek, I had to check it out. Maybe because it is still brand new, but it seemed like the Chick-fil-a of fast-casual burger joints. You ordered at the counter, but a friendly young staff member brought the food to the table after they called your name. It was super family-friendly. I saw folks of all ages--from about four to about eighty there for dinner on a Wednesday night. And it was kept super clean on the inside. The Good * Calories on the menu! Amazing! * A lot healthier than you think it is. A grilled cheese sandwich for 330 calories??? Sign me up!! * Really friendly service. The girl at the cash register was really patient as I sorted out what I wanted (the elevation sauce or the balsamic mustard?, jalapeños or the pepper relish?). * It's a make-your-own burger place. You order a basic burger and then you can customize with a list of toppings (also with calorie counts). Most are free but a few (e.g. cheese, bacon) cost extra. * Coke Free-Style Machine! 'Nuff said. * The service is wonderful--the manager seems to really care about the experience! He came around and stopped at tables to follow up with customers. The Bad * My veggie burger didn't have a lot of flavor, which was pretty disappointing. I have no idea what was in it, but I didn't taste black beans or anything else. * My burger was cold--I'm not sure if the patty was frozen or if the tomatoes I added had just been kept very cold. Either way, it was pretty unappetizing to bite into a very cold burger, especially in the middle. However, I talked to the manager who said that they had some problems with veggie burgers the first week. I definitely plan to come back by to try another out when I'm in the area. I'm definitely giving them the benefit of the doubt, because they did just open next week and I think it's a nice addition to Brier Creek. UPDATE: I returned on February 4, 2013, to see if anything had changed, and I'm sad to report that it hasn't. Part of my veggie burger was well-cooked, but the part of the veggie burger near the middle was still unpleasantly cold.

Pros: Friendly service .....and that is pretty much the end of the "pro" category. Burger was overpriced. Very bland tasting. "Caramelized" onions means "raw" onions. I had the burger that came with one burger patty and one veggie burger patty. I didn't think it had much flavor. For a "healthy" burger, it also seemed sorta messy and greasy. I really wanted to enjoy this venue, but I can't say that I did.

With a few of these type burger places showing up in the triangle, it's always exciting to us to give it a try. First impression: not much to look at. With a counter that you order at and a slightly annoying menu, I needed time to figure out how I wanted my make your own burger done. After ordering and giving our name, we find a table and wait for our order to be brought to us. I can't imagine on a really busy day this working for anyone. I mean if there is more then one Mike in the place how would you know? Each item on the board shows the calorie count- an added bonus for those concerned about calories. The quality of the burger with the aged cheddar was excellent- along with the shoe string fries that were perfectly seasoned. We both tried their elevation sauce which was tangy- not exactly something we both liked. The food came out on a tray wrapped up or covered- giving this place a bit of a fast food feel but certainly with a better burger and fries overall. Location is not the best, and with burgers and fries and no drinks for both of us- a $21.00 bill. I personally don't mind paying more for this meal at a sit down with waitress service establishment- however fast food feel makes me think it should have fast food prices. One of those customized soda machines and everything ala carte- I would suggest they consider a creation all their own to really make them stand out from the crowd- along with a combo meal option. Overall taste- excellent. Price- costly.

The Triangle's newest burger-focused place, Elevation, might not be super-fancy or cutting-edge trendy, but there's more to a good burger than style! Elevation's focus on sustainability in both ingredient choices and business practices is one thing setting it apart from many of its similar mid-range competitors; offering variety without compromising on quality is another. Want beef? You can get anywhere from one patty to a mind-boggling ten (paging Romin and Kuanyu!) on a sturdy potato roll with your choice of toppings. Want a vegetarian burger that isn't mushy or bland? Got it! Want a vegan option? There it is! Want a coffee-cheesecake-Oreo milkshake? Consider it yours. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu options and friendly; seating was plentiful, and the food was fresh, with balanced seasoning and no overkill on the condiments. Having large slabs of dill pickles instead of the anaemic, flabby rounds you get some places was a nice touch! The fries were thinner than I anticipated but had a good potato-y taste and weren't at all overly salty. You can play around with the Coca-Cola Freestyle drink dispenser to concoct your ideal beverage; I went with a lime-raspberry ginger ale. All in all, Elevation Burger is certainly above the average burger experience!

Burgers

Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning.
