Great place to watch a game or play a game. The food is delicious too.

Wednesday nights at Dave and Busters can't let you down. 1/2 off all games AND cocktails. I've stopped in a couple times, but tried their menu for the first time on my most recent visit. Service is slow, they're understaffed and it took maybe ten minutes for our server to come up to our table. We put in all our orders then and he was very "on" for the next 10-15 minutes until our food came. We received the same service when waiting for our bill, LONG wait. Also, in a huge corporate chain like Dave & Busters, they really should've thought of getting some better lights at the tables, these tiny spot light fixtures that only light-up half of the menu don't work. Food was okay, I wouldn't bring a date here for dinner. We ordered off the $16.99 deal, you receive a $10.00 game card included in the price of the meal [so you pay $6.99 for the meal]. I tried the chicken caesar salad and Steve-o A. got the cheese steak sammy, served with fries. The cheese steak sandwich was actually pretty good, although it's not something you should eat often! Caesar salad had fried chicken on it and was okay. Patron margarita was light on liquor while the tiki drink was heavy on the sweet!! I've got to go back and find a better cocktail [but Wednesday nights they're only about $4.50-$6.00]. On to the games, honestly, it's a little overwhelming for me personally. Loud, dark, constantly busy. Check out the 4-D Dark Escape 4 if you want to scream and wet yourself a little. 4-player Mario Cart is a blast, even though I get my bum kicked by Steve A. and Ron W. every time. They've also got a trivia game that will test your knowledge and LOTS of games that give out TONS of tickets. We won 17,900 tickets in one night [that was the accumulation of about $25.00 though]. Overall, a fun night, although definitely recommend on Wednesday nights--your tokens go MUCH farther!

Is Thug Life better than No Life! Cary better be glad Something is going on in this Mall!!! We felt very safe and had a very nice time here last Saturday Night! Some people with Asperger Syndrome will LOVE this place! It is LOUD and a LOT is going on! This is only my Second time to one of these places and it has changed a lot since RobbieTheLoveKnobbie introduced me to Dave and Busters (Dallas Location) for his Bachelor Party Weekend! My plan was to EAT and Leave and Ms, eBay Bride Cary World was agreed we arrived conveniently late, we met our party and decided to play some since Dave doesNOT take reservations [Really I think they do this so you will spend your $ playing and that is fine when you know that! Plan B We will watch everyone else play.... Ha ha ha We played : Air Hockey Basket Ball Football Some kind of Bowling Game Jurassic Park Shooting Game and More Then we Ate Short Rib and Mac & Cheese Sandwich this was Way Better than I expected Frazzeled Onions these were Very Good! Super Thin RED Onions DeepFried in a light batter Our Server and Manager were Very pleasant and did a GREAT job handling our Party of nine... 5 yelp stars for Service ! ! ! ! ! ChuckEcheesey for Young Adults or for Middle Schoolers with Parents ON One SIDE, Sports BAR on the Other! Our Party was Eight Adults and one 8 year old Boy with an inflatable Hammer Sports Bar .... I have always said "Don't tell me it's a Sports Bar" though here they were showing X Games, so I have to admit I enjoyed it! Then later they switched to all MMA Fights and we saw (probably) the most brutal one of the Evening, my Bride asked some questions about it and we were glad that was not the only "Sport" on all night! I would go back if it were someone elses idea! It was Fun though I would rather do a lot of other things like relaxing in an environment with less light and sound stimuli, MOST of the time!

When you're talking a bout a big chain like Dave and Busters there are always good and bad things about it. The good: Huge space with lots of super hi-tech games, large bar area plastered with high-def panels, modern dining area with good menu of bar food The bad: Mediocre to poor service for food, lots of noise and bling to make you A-D-D, expensive for games (unless you come on 1/2 price Wednesdays) Dave and Busters is a fun, once in a while treat if you're ready for some arcade and video game excitement. Love Mario Kart, skee-ball, the football toss and more. Plus lots of bling and ding-ding-ding in the air. So if you've got kids and some money to burn, stop on by Dave and Busters. Just bring the ear plugs, you've been warned....

There's a decent selection of games here, though a few of them are sort of laughable (such as a giant flappy bird game or the giant connect four game). They did seem to get a whole new slew of games recently so it's nice to know that they're keeping up to date constantly, though I'm a little sad they axed the guitar hero game they used to have here. The pricing in terms of eat + play combos are pretty good and there is always half off Wednesdays which are great. The food and bar are decent enough, but it's nothing to write home about. Drinks are not that strong and the food has gone a bit downhill from when they originally opened. It's a good place for team events and there'll always be the times I want to get nostalgic and play DDR, so I'll definitely be back.

Last day of track out so I let my girls "ride" typhoon a few times. It's really expensive here. For a short 30 minute stop while in the mall it's ok. We did not food or drinks. We simply used it as an arcade only. It was way more pleasant than when we tried to use it as an adult place with food and drinks. The kids had fun so it made today's visit A-OK.

Can we say "Chuck E. Cheese's for Adults". The food and drink selection was good, but nothing great.

Here's another update on Dave's. I used to come here on a regular basis and still come when I can. Now I have over 70,000 points and have spent hundred on games food and drinks. Bar service is still slow, nothing has changed. Food was ok the first time, then went down hill ever since. Food is terrible now and very pricey. We usually spend about $100 on food when we eat. Well, that included alcohol. But we have pretty much had everything on the menu. Good thing is that they are open till very late and you can get food here where you wouldn't be able to at other places around midnight.

I love this place! Great food, great drinks and games! What more could you want? Before 10 you can take the kids and let them have some fun. After 10 its adults only!

Weak. Started with the food part, got some lobster pasta something or other. Super gloppy and lukewarm. Not good at all. Couple shrimp and a hint of lobster flavor with a "steak" on top. Chx nuggets and fries all around for the kids. Six people, almost $80. What??? And it took FOR EVER to get the food, get the drinks, get the "server" to shuffle by our table for any reason. The only thing that was on time was the check. Then there was the "game room". Weak sauce. This is a chuck e cheese style ticket factory where the kids drop tons of coin on "tokens" to get "tickets" to exchange for junk "prizes". Two decent games in the whole place if you ask me, Terminator Salvation and a 4 person Mario Kart thing. Boring. Service at the bar sucked too.

  • Michael B.

I have been to Dave & Busters a couple of times. I recommend getting their Eat & Play Combo. Basically starting at $16.99 you get an entrée plus a $10 game card. So if you get a $12 entrée, you get a $10 game card for $5. Plus they don't charge you for the card if you do it that way. They have tons of food options, and plenty of games. I think the gaming floor is larger than the dining room floor. The prizes for the games are huge. If you have kids, get there early, because as it gets later, then they will start checking ID's, and stop letting you inside. (Like it is a club or something.) People drive from miles around to go to Dave & Busters. A bad side, since they attract a large crowd, it spills over into the parking lot. Park close, but not too close. There are tons of beer bottles in the parking lot, and there have been reports of a few incidents stemming from the Dave & Busters crowd. I would say the food is good, on the higher end, but not gourmet fancy price side of things, and the games are expensive, but not state fair expensive. If you haven't been, grab your fun, and head there at least once. What else do you have to lose? 267

Games: For the most part, exactly what you would expect: * Lots of chance games meant for ticket farming. * Lots of driving and first person shooters. * Some games that eat your coins but don't work. The typical. Food: No surprise. Not great. My "Grilled Chicken on Veggies" was actually "Grilled Chicken on Potatoes". There were only a few straggling peppers. My wife's salad was mostly a plate of lettuce and cherry tomatoes. It was my son's birthday so no big deal we are there for the fun, but you are better off playing arcade games and then going somewhere else (well...anywhere else) for dinner.

Finally, a D&B in NC. The bartender was not impressive, and if you show up before the adults only, the kids are left to run wild. However, the atmosphere was good, the food is good, they had a good selection of games, and fun was had by all.

    (4)
  • Frank B.

This place is much different than any of the other D&B's I have been to. The ambience is completely unsettling and the decibel level is off the charts (way too loud). We were looking to relax and have a few drinks with friends but we were ready to leave about two minutes after we sat down. In retrospect we should have. The food was mediocre, at best, and it felt more like Chuck E. Cheese than Dave & Buster's. First and last time there for us.

  • Tim V.

Two stars because my child found it entertaining or it would be lower. Only open 3 weeks but not knowing if there was beer other than on menu was unforgivable. Found out after they did indeed have an IPA on tap, etc. food order wrong on two out of three dishes, had to ask after an hour of being done to remove dirty dishes, empty glasses....basics. Won't go on, but they have a lot of training to do and can't imagine food being better than below average.

  • Marla C.

This I a great spot to entertain. I am so happy we have one in the area now. Food is good, my son loves this place. He is 8 years old and he prefers it over Frankie's, adventures landing and chuckie cheese

    (5)
  • Greg O.

I'll keep this place high within the Yelp stars. Was psyched that a D&B was coming to the area, and they did not disappoint! Great job of keeping the traffic flow great with their game layout, and the food is spot on. Hopefully this one stays nice and doesn't get trashed up like some others I've been to.

We ventured here again, a huge mistake! We got money on our power card for games and ordered a beer. The beer was flat so ordered a different one. Than we played games and had fun. Well we went back for another drink. We ordered a Long Island ice tea and shooter. The long island ice tea came and we waited, and waited for my shooter. My fiancée had almost finished his drink when I flagged down another bartender and asked where my drink was. The bartender continued to serve other people and it took forever to get my drink and my fiancées was gone by the time I got mine. The bar wasn't even busy, plenty of seating. Than we went back and played more games. We were starving and thought we would order an appetizer even though we know the food wasn't that good and also ordered one more drink. Again my fiancée got his drink and it was finished it before mine ever came. The food was taking forever so we left a note on the table we were going outside to get some fresh air and they let us know our food was ready. When we got to our table there was no food. I don't know if he mistaken us for someone else but we had a enough and wanted to leave. So we paid the bill and went to leave and the manager asked us why and when we told her what had happened she got mad! She was extremely rude to us. We spent over $100 on games and drinks and she didn't care. The service here is absolutely terrible!! They do not know how to treat paying customers. Living so close we would go here all the time, we enjoy the games, and like to have a few drinks but the staff is just plain rude. They have never gotten my order right, drinks vary in taste from bartender to bartender, I really want to like this place but I refuse to go back and be treated so horribly. Never again!

Dave n Busters in Cary has the best customer service of any establishment of this type. We have had manager refresh a lost card, given free games when machinery failed, extra tickets when daughter needed a few to get specific prize and the food service always prompt and delicious. You can bring a family of four and for about 100$ the kids will have a blast and be able to get a small prize each if you balance the strictly ticket grab games vs arcade style ones. It is a bit like a kids casino so beware of the children wanting to only fish tickets, I have battled the giant crane a few times myself! guilty pleasure! There are many savings on packages and download the app they are coming out with all sort of new reward programs this year. Buy tickets with your meal and if possible share a card for games you get better deals.

Place was dirty, overpriced, and employees seemed to be very unhappy. We got dirty silverware and plates when ordering appetizers. Games are ok for a dave and busters.

We went out for my daughter's birthday to celebrate the service was slow the food was cold and didn't taste good. They promised something special for my daughter's birthday but took forever so we just went on after waiting 20 minutes for said surprise (the birthday girl was ready to play) the only good thing was we happened to go in on 1/2 Price Game and Drink night. I Had never been to Dave and Busters so it was kind of a disappointment for a 1st experience. The place looked clean the staff just needs a little help in the speed department.

This review comes from two separate visits with both dinner and gaming. Because the two experiences were so totally different I will just average to a 3-star 'A-OK' review! I came here with friends and some D&B bucks to burn and was immediately drawn to the games. I love a good arcade and for the area this is a VERY good arcade. They had a Pump It Up dance game (my all-time favorite), air hockey, a very scary and fun 4D Horror game and a bunch of luck and skill games to win tickets. All the games were clean and well maintained and our money went surprisingly far in having fun. My only complain is that money translates to points here, so you really have no clue how much you're paying for a game unless you think about it and do the math. While the gaming aspect of it was great both times the food-- and service that came with the food was totally different both times. Our first time our sever was slow, distant and a bit rude. Our food took about 45 minutes to come out (and it was a slow Tuesday night) and no one was really impressed with anything. The second time our waiter was much better, though he seemed a bit forgetful. I had to remind him for a pint glass for our ciders (that came bottled) but he was polite and checked on us often. Even though the place was way busier our food came out faster and everything tasted great! I especially loved the steak salad which comes with a great dressing and candied pecans which I usually don't like. The only con to this time was the fact that our menus were filthy; like the pages were stuck together with food. And we weren't offered new ones upon alerting them. All in all I think this location will improve if they work on training the staff, but right now it's just a pretty good place to spend an evening. If nothing else check out some games and play like a kid again!

NO. NO. NO. Attempted to enjoy a night out with the ladies. The line was wrapped around the mall. At nine pm there was a 2.5 Hour wait for food. I get it.But, at the bar service area, a table for Six was inhabited by someones jacket. JACKET. When we sat down, a server told us we couldn't split the six top table and now we are in hurricane winds headed to Frankie's Fun Park. Thanks a lot Dave. Thanks for nothin buster. Ps. The Cary police department were discussing a large puddle that was coming from under the bar. For five full minutes. My shoes are wet and I'm pretty sure they were leather. Pps. I'm never having children. Thanks buster. Thanks Dave. PPPS we went to a Hooters near RDU. Much happier. beers, televisions and wings. And NASCAR.

Unlike any other Dave and Buster's I've ever been to....and I mean that in a negative way. Let's start with the bar staff: AWFUL. Horrible service. We went in tonight (Monday at 5 pm) and hardly anyone was in the place. The girl behind the bar didn't say anything to us. She saw us sit down. After a few minutes we had to call her over to order a drink. Felt like it was an inconvenience for her and that we had to walk on eggshells. Maybe she was just having a bad day, I'm not sure. The food isn't bad, but it's nothing to die for. Pretty sure the burgers are frozen patties or precooked. Calamari wasn't bad at all. The overloaded nachos weren't really loaded with anything at all. Beers have a decent price. I'd go back, but definitely not dealing with the wait staff. Eat somewhere else beforehand!

They put an "adult arcade" restaurant in Cary and it turned into a Chuck-E-Cheese. This is not surprising and not why it gets 1 star. The reason for the 1 star is because they couldn't even hold our name on the list. We arrived around 5 on a Saturday and put our name on "the list" to get a table for 4. They said 45 minutes, so we went to wander the mall for a bit. 20 minutes later we were back and decided to check where we were. It turns out they "already called us 3 times" and the hostess made it sound like we had committed a crime by not responding. Then she told us if we wanted to get back in line, we'd have to start at the end of the list again and the wait was now 90 minutes. Sorry D&B you need to step up your game here frankly.

  • Rob T.

If you are given filthy menus, leave as fast as you can. If we are served cold and precooked food, don't eat it and just leave. If you get sick from the food, never go back. You can't even submit a compliant online or via phone. We were Dave and Busters customers in Texas for more than 10 years. But this place in Cary has gone downhill since opening. This was the 3rd time that we had a bad experience. We give them feedback about their food twice. This time, we actually got sick eating the precooked burgers.

The dining area is so much nicer than the other ones I went in CA, unfortunate to say, but it is true. As far as the cleanliness and quality of food, I was satisfied. After ll, it is a great place to enjoy some time off with friends.

Kids can have fun, eat and run around while parents can relax, watch a game & have a drink! Did I mention free wifi? Birthday or any celebrations can happen in their private Party Room.

    (5)
  • John E.

My biggest complaint is the beer selection is terrible. NC is beer capital of the US yet they only have one local draft (Foothills). If you're a beer snob like myself, you might want to go elsewhere (like Boxcar in downtown Raleigh). Food is your standard commercial frozen food, I'd compare to Applebee's or Chili's. Games are fun though - the gamefloor is less crowded in the middle of the day, lots of kids in afternoon.

I am a small business owner so I don't write reviews, but you have to be kidding me! The worst place I ever been to. Service just plain sucked. Had to ask for a drink 3 times, oh wait waitress still forgot. had to ask for silverware 4 times. Food priced as a high end but sucked. I had microwaved chicken with barbarque sauce thrown on it afterwards. Brought it home and feed it to my dog, I really felt bad cause my dog throw up afterwards. Also A family restaurant! Their were to armed police officers there, really. I found out why. This is in Cary NC. You have to be nuts to bring your kids there.

Went there last saturday with my boyfriend and my daughter around 7pm it was crowded nice atmospere we were seated right away but the food was INSTANT TV DINNER!!!!! the mashpotatoes came right from the flaky box and the grilled chicken was chicken mixed with crab meat immitation it was gross!!! The games were ok but so expensive I spent $165 on food and games not worth it I guess the atmosphere was upbeat that's it!!!

Back again, this time for my daughters 16th birthday party. We arrived 30 minutes early and Mike, the manager, came out and met with us, gave us our play cards and allowed us into the party room early to put our stuff. He verified our menu order, which we needed one adjustment to, which was no problem. He asked what time we wanted the food ready and the kids played unlimited video games until the burgers were promptly ready. The young man running the party room, Chris, was very polite and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything even thou he had other parties going on. He was very nice, polite, and all around a great host. Sodas were kept full and the tables cleared off promptly. We grabbed a table outside the party room for afterwards so we had a place for our stuff while the kids continued playing games. Other staff checked on us periodically to see if we needed refills or anything else while at our table which faced the gaming area by the bar. I recommend writing names on a napkin to place the drinks on since they are free refills all day long. The games are well rounded for all age groups, and the 16 and up games are unlimited with the video card package, mainly what our party was after. For a Sunday, arriving early was great since we had the gaming area mostly to ourselves. It does get noisy (expected this), but never got so busy that games weren't always available to play. I see smiles on everyone's faces, so I give it a 10 out of 10! Thanks for making our last minute birthday party reservations a success.

They simply do not train the staff. Soup was served without a spoon and had to wait 10 minutes. We also had to wait a long time for the food to begin with. My chicken Cabo was tough and slightly cold. They do not clean the tables promptly as the people next to us have been gone for 30 minutes and the table is still dirty. We are sitting by the bar and bartender is making no attempt to clear glasses and wipe counters. Play games if you like but don't eat here.

I haven't eaten here yet but I have bought some blue moon and gamed my ass off a few times!!! When my friends first mentioned they wanted to go here I wasn't overjoyed, you really do have to be in a certain mood to enter a place with so much happening all at once! I jokingly call it over stimulating my brain with flashing lights, kids running around, motorcycles zooming... The works! BUT as soon as I walked in (after noticing the high prices..eh..) I felt an immediate flashback to summer camp when I went to jellybeans and roller rinks, so awesome!! We first went to the bar (awful selection of beer but I'm more of a local craft brew person instead of these budweisers and coors beers on draft.. Ahhhh the humiliation!!!) but that is the market in this location of Cary so I don't blame them. I do like that they had a large blue moon on tap for only $4! Great deal! I was getting almost 2 beers for the price of one at other places a regular draft pour of blue moon is $3/3.50. They also have tall tables scattered around the gaming area so you can set your drink down and get into the excitement!! Tall enough for kids not to be able to sneak a sip! Gaming variety was awesome!! I do wish they had a Jurassic park game but that's just me! My favorite game is where you and a buddy hit the flashing lights as fast as you can!! Can't miss it when you walk in the room- I felt like a cat trying to swat at bugs! Awesome! Bottom line just have an open mind and be able to laugh at yourself while here! It isn't a 5 star eatery! It's a throwback from my summer camp days in the 90s and I love it!!!

I went here for a Company Party yesterday and we had a nice time! It isn't fair for me to judge the food or service at the Restaurant by my experience though; we had a private area with a buffet of decent chips, dips, chicken in various forms and flavors, and little slider burgers. It was good... not Great but definitely Good. In addition to free food the Company gave us $10 cards to use in the Arcade, and my Son and I played fun and entertaining games for about an hour. Part of that time is just looking around at all the crazy games. Sensory Overload for sure! In the bar area there are LOTS of BIG Screen TVs playing just about any Sport you can imagine. So if you are looking for a sports bar type place to order munchies and drinks while watching the games, this may be just the place for you! I've heard their burgers are really good, and I can say that our service was very good. I'd like to go back again for a fun afternoon or evening out.

Food is hit or miss (more miss than hit) Service sucks, and that's regardless if you sit at the bar , in the high tops around the bar , or in the dining room. If you must play their games , use a coupon and eat some place else

  • Tom I.

I can't say anything good about this place. The server Douglas was beyond slow. I ordered a beer and it must've taken 10 minutes to get it and there was no one else in the place! The food was just barely average. it was really nothing special. This place is no longer a novelty and I won't be going back any time soon.

I LOVE DAVE AND BUSTERS!!!!!! It's pretty good price wise and everybody is nice. The arcade games our awesome, especially the giant claw machine and the Star Wars pod thing. The only thing is that it's really crowded but other than that it's good.

  • Ines P.

I give it four only because we couldn't get a seat or table after waiting 2 hours. However, while waiting we played games, hung out, etc. The games, service, ticket area was great! Smiles around the entire restaurant! We will be back!!

Great new place in the Cary Towne Center. Customer service is top notch. Enjoyed having the door opened for me when I entered and left, almost gave a high-end hotel feel. Drinks were never empty. Waitress Elyssa was amazing. Great service over all. Food was ok. Not many vegan choices. Cocktails were good and reasonably prices. Plenty of arcade games. The new Dave and Busters will be a great place to hang out with friends and feels like it would be a good addition to Cary.

This place had very sketchy people there. I was very disappointed by the crowd, and felt very uneasy while walking through the crowd. It did have some pretty cool games there which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. I would about guarantee we will be hearing of some sort of violence at this place whether it is a shooting or a stabbing. Will not be back unless it is during the afternoon.

Horrible horrible service! We went for dinner as a family once and the service was so bad that they comped our entire meal...without us even asking! We gave it one more shot about a year later, hoping that the experience would be better and it was just as bad. Our waiter promised to ensure that our appetizers would come out way in advance of our meals as we had ordered some large appetizers and didnt want to get them and then get our meal 2 minutes later. We were very clear in making sure that they understaood that. After promising that would be the case, when our appetizers came out (25 minutes later), our meal came out exactly 1 minute after they brought them. The service got worse form there and the manager that came out to deal with it was rude, making it seem as if it were our fault that they couldnt get it right. The games are fun but just don't plan on eating there. They just havent figured out the service part yet.

I called ahead and made reservations for my family and friends in November 2014 so I assume they still accepted reservations. I called today to make reservations and was told they have NEVER accepted reservations yet I have talked to other people that have made reservations less than a month ago.

I went there last night... my first time at a Dave n Busters. The hostess should really get a different job. For the first to greet you.. she was unpleasant and crabby. The food was ok. My waitress was nice. The worst thing was when I moved to the bar area. I ordered a drink and watched one of the bartenders cross contamination over and over. Unknowingly the customers drank God knows what. I was mortified. From that point.. no mixed drinks for me! This tall young man was handling money.. wiping his hands on his pants and then reach in to get your fruit for your "specialty" drink .... yea ALL night long. SCARY!

  • J D.

Small arcade. Food is poor quality. Service is horrible I waited a half hour just to order a beer. Had to hunt down the bartender to order food and another beer. Food came undercooked and improperly made. Manager later told us that was how it was made. It was not how I ordered. Did not offer any consolation. I've been to better Dave and busters that where better managed and had the same food made better.

I've visited this location twice. Drinks and appetizers at the bar the first go round...and that was nice! Great atmosphere, great bartender, and the prices were comparable. However, the second visit was awful! I called several days in advance to inquire about large party wait times. I had a group of 12-15 to reserve seating for. I was told reservations were not taken, it would be a first come, first serve basis. I was told when 2/3's of my party arrived, we could be placed on a waiting list. The recommended wait list time for 5pm on a Saturday would be 1.5 hours. I figured ok, we can all try to hang out in the arcade area (which I'm sure is their point of having a 'wait list') and play games. We arrived at 5p with everyone for our party, and were told there would be a 2-2.5 hour wait!! I figured ok, it's a Saturday evening, this is a large party, we can play games until it's time to eat. (Mind you, we had 3 kids ages 13, 11, and 3). After 2 hours and 23 mins, we checked in to see where we were on the 'list.' I was rudely reminded that the wait time was quoted as being 2-2.5 hours. I stated we had waited 2h23m...couldn't they seat us? We were told we were 'next' and would be seated as soon as availability opened. I saw a few empty tables that needed clearing but none that were close together for our party. Roughly 20 mins later....we were finally seated and placed drink orders. The alcohol came first. About 20 mins afterwards, the regular drinks showed up! Crazy. We ordered our meals quickly as we thought our waitress may go 'missing' again. It took 45 mins for our food (luke warm) and that was for 1/2 of the tables' orders. Another 15-20 mins, then the 2nd round arrived. They also forgot other parts of the order. Those of us with manners who received their food first, did not eat until the 2nd round arrived. By that point, our food was cold!!! It had to be sent back with a request for the remainder of what was ordered. Just ridiculousness. I can't begin to tell you how slow everything was. I'm sure that IF we go back, it will NOT be to eat in the dining area.

This place is HORRIBLE! I came with friends who made a reservation. It took forever to be seated, though it wasn't a busy night. Took forever to have our orders taken, but the worst was waiting for our food while people who came in after us were served. We ordered standard fare and our party wasn't very large. When someone asked why all of these other tables had been served though they ordered after us, the waitress and manager argued with us. Repeatedly.

This has to be the smallest Dave & Busters I've ever been to. Went on a Wednesday, late in the afternoon. The gaming stuff was fun as it usually tends to be at most locations, despite the size. However, the food part was bad. Like really, really bad. The service was painfully slow, despite it being a Wednesday. I can't even begin to imagine what a Friday night must be like. The food was bad. The servers were indifferent. I don't even think there was any alcohol in my Long Island ice tea. They forgot part of the order and after mentioning it and the server assuring he'd be sure to bring it, it never came. Normally, I wouldn't let something that fly, but considering the indifference of the whole staff, it would've fallen on deaf ears. Needless to say, IF I ever go back, I won't bother to stay for a drink or a bite to eat.

We've been here twice now, the first time was also slow/bad, but I figured they had just opened and were getting into the swing of things. But they've been open a while now... Stopped in yesterday mid-day to have a bite of lunch, a beer and play some games. We sat down at the bar, which was empty except for 2 other couples. Even so, the bartender didn't acknowledge us for 15 minutes. When he finally did acknowledge us, we ordered our beers, he instructed the guy he was training to pour them. We looked over the menus for a minute or two, then closed them and waited for the bartender to come back over. But the bartender was done waiting on us apparently and didn't come back. When I held up my hand to get his attention 20 minutes later, he came over to us and said "What?" -- like I had interrupted something terribly important to ask him to take our order. Food came out 10 minutes later, fries were cold, my fiance's sandwich was flavorless and he just ate the chicken out of it. We only drank one beer because we didn't want to sit there all day waiting for another one. Even a woman in one of the other couples had to get up and walk around the bar and stand right in front of the bartender to get him to look at her so she could place an order. Crazy. Had fun playing the games, though -- I guess if we ever end up back in here we will eat and have a beer first somewhere else and skip the restaurant in D&B.

okay first ill give you the good, the same area is alot of fun, I definatly dont feel like im getting jipped when I go, even though I totally am! plenty of space to love aaround and up to date on the games to play I love the game Dark Escape in 4D. Now for dinner.....the food was medium I overall cant complain I wasnt going their some something gourmet comperable to a Chilis or a Applebees. The service however was terrible. Tell me why it took almost 15 mins befor anyone same and check on us and they was after we already asked for help. Overall the process took intirely to long for the house not even to be at half capacity. Then everything we requested out waitress seemed to have this overwhelming since of burden. 'Yes I would like some fresh fries since these are not even luke warm...' Maybe I just got her on a bad night but if thats the same stay home because I came to have a good evening with my friends are no one likes a sour puss. Also if im coming here I expect to not have to look at children....it's that the purpose?

Came here for a late lunch on Sunday. Very busy and high energy arcade with lots of large screened games. Went to the back where the restaurant/bar is and still noisy. Lots of TVs. Ordered the chicken sliders and the chicken was dry, the lettuce was brown and limp and the tomatoes weren't fresh. The bread was fresh and filling and the fries came out fresh and hot. My husband odered the chicken breasts with potato chip crust and his chicken was very tender so a better choice. Some food items were pricey considering the casual and noisy ambiance. Probably won't go back again but not a bad choice.

I've come twice recently. The first evening was a busy Saturday night, and we came to have drinks and apps at the bar. Our bartender was so much fun and attentive, despite how busy it was! I ordered the pretzel bite app which was super delicious, while my boyfriend had the quesadilla app, which he also really liked. I tried the skinny margarita & the watermelon margarita, which were both great. Our bartender also made my friend a martini that wasn't on the menu, and it was really good. After, we wanted more drinks, so our bartender suggested jello shots, which are served in huge syringes that you shoot into your mouth.. super fun. But before we took the shot, he came and gave us glowstick necklaces. The great service really made the experience. The second time was on a Monday night with another bartender. Once again, the service was very friendly. However the food was just okay. I ordered the pretzel bites again and some of them were cold. I ordered a cheeseburger and my boyfriend had the Philly Cheesesteak. Neither were anything more than average. I've always had great service here but the food is hit or miss. I'd say come here if you plan to play games and have some drinks and appetizers, but I don't think I'd come here to have dinner.

Service SUCKS! If you plan on coming to eat, plan on waiting forever to be acknowledged. We waited almost 15 minutes before we reminded the front desk that we were at a table and waiting service. Once we did get a waitress, she was awesome! Food was typical bar fare, chances of a return are slim. We've been to the one in Orlando and had a better experience there.

I've been here a couple of times now and feel I have a good understanding of the atmosphere and environment. First you should know that while this is a smaller location, it does a great job of maximizing its space in the small location, and that this is Cary NC, how big did you really think they could get away with?! The environment is best on weekend nights, but it gets packed quick so come out early! One thing that really surprised me were the amount of younger people coming out. It was actually nice to see young people in Cary... I was begging to think they had all but become extinct with myself being one of the few left. Plenty of young people dressing up for the bar scene and dining experience on weekend nights. The bar is excellent! Huge island bar with 360 degree seating. Additional seating located just off the bar with a long extended standing height counter and chairs. The arcade is great, with plenty of machines and unique games. Machines are a mix between ticket dispensing, story line shooter games as well as those that you retrieve a stuffed animal from. When you're finished playing you can redeem your tickets for a prize, but now you are no longer limited to stand behind a counter, but you actually walk past the counter and into a store of prizes. I should have mentioned this earlier, but they have done away with token coins. Now you purchase tokens that are uploaded to a "Power Card". You use this power card to save tokens and can have tickets won placed on the power card as well. All cards are $2.00 so make sure not to lose them, especially if you still have money or tickets remaining on it. Bring some friends and enjoy. They have a strict age restriction policy. All guests must be 18 to enter alone or be accompanied by an adult 25 or older, with 5 minors to one adult. Also be sure to act responsibly as Cary PD has been staffing this location over the weekend with a couple officers.

After making numerous trips to the Dave and Buster's location in Concord, I was thrilled when I heard of a location opening in Cary. Dave and Busters still serves as a very fun night out. I like grabbing a quick appetizer, a couple of beers and then making some rounds around all the games. This location is rather small in comparison to the Concord location but the food quality and staff are just as great. The games function well, and I have had very little issue the couple times I have been to this location. The prizes are about on par with what I'd expect as well. I intend on going back to this location many times as, like I've said, it serves as a really fun night out. If you can't enjoy hitting a jack pot or challenging some friends at air hockey, you're too grown up and taking things way too seriously. Dave and Busters is simply about having fun.

This is a very fun place!! I don't come here for the food I come here to play!! We always enjoy our visits, Kinda bummed yesterday that some of our favorites were not working. Good for a loud date night or family fun!

Both times that I've recently been to Dave And Busters, the restaurant service has been horrific. Both times my party was seated and then we waited for 10-15 minutes and nobody even took our drink order. Last night, when I was walking out and decided to ask for a manager, she begged us to give it another go. We agreed, yet out of the three of us, one plate was brought out 20 minutes AFTER the other two plates. I enjoy the games (but boy, were many of them out of order last night) but I would NOT recommend the restaurant.

Ok so I've been to several D&B's in the US and this one by far is the most horrible. I'm accustomed to the wonderful flair where an adult can be a kid but this really saddened me. The customer service was good. We ordered drinks (Mai Tai and Samuel Adams beer). The drinks are soooooo watered down. We blamed it on maybe they had just washed the cups and water was left. Lol. NOPE! Then ordered two more. The most glorified long island (which supposedly is all top shelf). Not only was it watered down as well it also lacked flavor. The calamari was good I will say that. The spinach dip ummmmm I'll remember to pass. There was hardly any spinach and it was very soupy. It's the new thing that we drove 2 hrs for only to be really disappointed. Should have took the hint when out waitress said the bartender had no clue on how to make mixed drinks! Two stars was given for edible food and customer service. Side note to parents: PLEASE DO NOT SIT YOUR KIDS IN BAR AREA!!! Enjoy.

First off, it's in the Cary Towne Center Mall. Which is a mall that really needs a facelift, and this Dave and Buster's is no help. We went on a Saturday at 4pm to put our names in for a table. Got a buzzer, and went to play games. The wait was "30-45 minutes" according to the hostess. We played games. And let me tell you, this place needs to choose to be a Chuck E Cheese or a Jillian's. NOT BOTH. There were RUDE kids there. People with babies, and lots of people drinking. A terrible, terrible mix. We waited until 5:30pm and still never got buzzed. And because all the kids were the ones playing the games, we decided to give the buzzer back and leave. The hostess was rude, not apologetic, and didn't care that we were never seated. TERRIBLE experience all around. So we ate at the food court. That was the best part of the night.

Games: Awful games. Too many of them are free games just thrown on a bigger screen. Seriously guys, Connect 4? Cut The Rope? House of the Dead? Too many games geared towards little children, not enough variety. The cost of the games is inconsistent as well. Something that should be cheap is expensive, etc. Crane game can't pick up crap but the basketballs. I lost track of how many times I'd have something in the air, and then the crane would jump once it got to the top, dislodging anything but the basketballs. Drinks: I got the Long Island Iced Tea in the collectors mug. It was filled to overflowing with ice, and I drained it in 3 short pulls through the straw. Next to no alcohol, not even able to detect a hint or smell of it. For 10$ I can go to a mexican joint and get a nice buzz on off a margarita the size of my head. To not even be able to detect the alcohol at all is just insane. I wasn't the only one complaining about it, and the manager took HALF the drink off my bill, at least according to the waitress, as the manager never showed up for this incident. Wait time. Alright, we went on a Saturday. 40 minute wait? Alright, no problem. Around 30% of the tables in the place were empty. Plenty of wait staff just standing around talking, a dozen folks in the game area walking around. I felt like they made us wait because they knew we'd drop cash on the games. After 1 hour and 20 minutes I went up to ask what the hold up was. She claimed to have called our names, and set off the pager. The pager was hanging on my neck, on my chest the entire time, it'd never gone off. So they rushed us to an open table finally after 1 hour 30 minutes of waiting, and then we waited another 15 minutes to place our drink order, another 15 to actually place our food, and another 30 to get it. This is just broken. Food: I'm sure it would have tasted better if it'd actually been even warm. My steak was medium, done just right in the middle. And cold. My mashed potatoes were steaming, so hot I couldn't eat them, so I mixed the steak into them to actually warm it back up. My wife's chicken was fried so hard she couldn't eat it, she had to cut it up and rip the crust off to be able to chew it. Asked for the manager, never showed up again either. Wait Staff: The lady we had was incredibly nice, seemed to be running ragged though with only 3 tables, very disorganized, would vanish for 10 minutes at a time, only one refill. Overall I'd have had a better meal in the food court. I'll be back to use up the rest of the points on our game card, but it's going to be incredibly unlikely that I waste my money ever eating there again. 90$ for a meal for 3 at a fast casual place is incredibly expensive for the horrible service, cold food, wait time, and low alcohol drink.

Was there on opening night. Was an awesome time. Food was fantastic. Overall great atmosphere and service even as they were getting things underway. this was my first time and a D&B but my only beef was waiting until 11pm for kiddie call...that's a really long wait if you get there after work at 7:30 or 8.

Bad food . Bad service. bad experience. You couldn't pay me to go back. Salads came out before food. Sent food back. Cesar salad was soggy as if it had been made up ahead of time. Or maybe it set in a window because the waitress forgot to bring it. Server asked if i wanted to speak to manager . I said yes. manager comes out and says "So what's the problem here?" Really? That's how you approach me? I said didn't the server tell you? Apparently not. So I explained. I tried to be nice but I don't understand how you can't get salads to a table before an entree. The manager said she would take the salads off the bill. Then our food came out. I had balsamic glazed chicken. Big mistake . Their version of "balsamic glazed" was to "decorate" the chicken with the balsamic sauce after it had been cooked. They actually did a criss-cross pattern with it like it was a cookie from a bakery. It was quite obvious that this was the same plate that I had sent back to the kitchen. The vegetables were soggy and the chicken was luke warm at best. I sent it back and asked it to be taken off my bill and to just get some chicken wings. I ate those and then later when we asked for the bill the waitress came up handed me the bill and said, "The salads and your wings were taken off the bill." I informed her that was wrong. I had to show her the plate with the chicken wing bones that of course was still sitting on the table and tell her to take the chicken entree off the ticket. Seriously? After all that you can't even get the ticket right. We got the the corrected ticket paid and left. I wanted to ask the waitress if she was having a stroke but decided not to. If you want a really loud arcade with a lot of video games then this is the place for you. Do not I repeat do not go for the food or service.

Went here last night for a company party. We forgot to close our tab and went to get our card back today. Someone closed the tab out at 12:15 am and then went and bought gas with the card in Clayton! So either they gave our card to the wrong person or a bartender took our card. Thanks assholes! Not going back here but will be talking to your management!

Well I must say this location had the worst service I've seen in a while... Waited 30 for the appetizer just to find out that the waiter did not put it in.... Our meal arrived before the appetizer..... I honestly thought these days were over...dine at your own risk!!!!

We really want to love this place. We really do. As young professionals, local to the area, we went with another couple on a Friday night for dinner and fun. The parking lot was packed, which is a good thing, but our first encounter of a guy standing in a space to reserve it, come on man. Upon entering, the place is confusing. The large check in where folks are buying tokens was crowded, and then the 2 hostess stands (maybe 3?) on either side, one for the dining room and one for what I thought was the first come, first serve bar was also weird, as we were hungry, and didn't care about a wait, but wanted to get on a list, quickly. Felt like each stand we went to said 'oh, that's over there'...coat check option is nice, the $1 price tag per item seems a little silly. We ended up with 2 pagers, what we thought was one for the bar and one for the dining room. Figuring we'd just get the one that came up first. Not sure that was what really happened, but it wasn't too long a wait for a table on the edge of the arcade. I noticed several groups who seemed to be complaining about their wait. We should've handed our second pager to someone. My girl friend and I ordered the Coronita margaritas, which were full of mixer, and became too tart really quickly. She didn't finish hers, I dumped the beer in and sucked it up. Our waitress was friendly and pretty quick, for how busy they were. No screw ups on the order, but the food runner barely cracked a smile and all but tossed our plates on the table before scurrying off. Not a huge deal, but at least ask if all is right or looks ok, and maybe just a quick smile or glance at us? The food was ok, I find it way too salty. Maybe I should order off the low cal menu, but when at a sports bar, you want to indulge a little, but you want it to be good! The Potato Poppers are awesome though. I could've just eaten more of those. Biggest let down of our dinner experience is the police officer that was standing less than 15 yards from our table. We noticed the crowd was a little different than most Cary establishments we frequent, not by color or demographic, but just a little rowdier. Not sure if the police presence is a proactive approach, of if there has been issues, but that was probably the weirdest part of the evening. We never felt once unsafe or out of place I will say, and as the night wore on, it did actually seem to quiet down, but we still left before midnight. Prices were actually pretty reasonable. Better than we expected. The games were awesome. The best part of the evening. We played air hockey, shot zombies in the dead zone thing, and one of us probably spent $100 trying get a stuffed dog out of the large grabber thing. We really enjoyed them. The satellite bar was nice , and the bartender was quick and friendly. A draft beer there would be nice, but understand the logistics factor in. Did not enjoy some of the patrons who appeared to be rough on the games or cheating for tickets. Staff were abundant, plenty of tables to sit drinks down, etc. we kept searching for our power cards, they should give you a lanyard at the coat check for the $1 you pay so you can keep your card in it. Great place for branding and we have a lot of rtp'ers that wear them for work and might wear theirs after they leave! We will definitely return, probably more on weekdays when the crowd is less, or perhaps we'll eat elsewhere beforehand and only order apps to soak up the drinks. I'm really hoping that D&B will step it up a bit, as I want to see it help the mall, and bring another fun attractive to our hometown.

Go for the games, not the food or drinks. I went here for a department holiday outing and we ordered nearly every appetizer on the menu. The mixed drinks are nothing but mixer. I am fairly sure my Texas sweet tea contained no alcohol at all. Several of the appetizers came with tortilla chips which were hard, flavorless and on the verge of stale. All of the food was equal quality to TGI Fridays frozen appetizers. The fried items such as the boneless wings and potato poppers were decent at best. However, the spinach dip, nachos, and queso were loaded with bad chips and the dips lack luster flavor we horrible. The spinach dip was obviously packaged and probably frozen and then microwaved and the nachos and queso were mostly cheese sauce that had come out of a jar. We did have a great time playing games and there is a lot to do. Just like any arcade, it is expensive but that was expected. The prizes were also lame and over priced, but at least you can use your winnings for more play. I would go back for the games, just making sure I ate beforehand.

We were there last night (Fri.11/8/13). 1. We tried to enter D&B from the Mall and the door was locked, we ask 2 employees if we could come in and they said go to another entrance. We started to just turn away and go somewhere else. Seems to me that the entry/exits are required to be unlocked during business hours. 2. Some items on the menu don't have prices listed. 3. Food was OK

No reservations. Food not worth paying for. Restrooms filthy. Games costly and most are ticket games. The TV are hard to see from most points in the bar area. You will have a better time at a local bar.

My family and I went to dave and busters for our for time. My husband was so excited to go, but we won't be going back. The hostess was rude from the start and didn't want to talk to is or accommodate our seating for our 2 kids. Our server had no idea Ab the menu or drinks, and left in the middle of talking to us saying she had to greet another table. Later when I called to inquire ab my husband leaving his phone, the hostess was extremely rude again, and the manager was unprofessional. We were highly disappointed in the establishment and haven't seen it that bad in the area yet. As for the food... Really nothing I would want to taste again. Very greasy.

I went back Monday night with my husband after also being there on the night before Thanksgiving with my son. My son and I had a blast and not nearly as many game issues. Just wish they had the floor bar up and running Husband and I went watched some football and got some loaded queso with chips It was yummy but for the charge for loaded vs unloaded I would just stick to unloaded. Not enough meat or sour cream in it for my taste Out bartender Brandi was great though and very attentive without being overbearing We hung out at the bar watched football for awhile then played some games. I will say I will try to ark this a Wednesday night only gig though because it's even more expensive when it is not half price game day. Still had fun and a Better experience the last 2 Trips than the first. Everyone was super nice and helpful too. The football app they have still doesn't recognize the Cary location and my app to recharge my power card won't process still but easy enough to update the card at a kiosk. Great prizes available and super easy to save your tickets on your card

So, incredibly disappointed with the experience we had for our anniversary dinner! upon arrival around 7:30 12/26 we were greeted pleasantly and shown to a table. After that, things went down hill and didn't get any better. Our server was not pleasant and acted like she didn't want to be there. When we inquired about a few drinks off the mixed drink menu we were met with a head shake and a shoulder shrug, and no help on making a decision. We ordered an appetizer of the poppin potatoes, which came out cold and soggy. We sent them back to get remade and not a minute later our meals came out. The salad I had ordered was wrong and when I said so to the server who brought the food, she just shrugged her shoulders and left the plate. We finally got the correct salad 15 minutes later. At the end of the meal our server brought the check and told us they had removed the potato appetizer. Not once during the whole experience did a manager stop by the table. We didn't want a free appetizer, we just wanted the food to come out correct, but we understand that sometimes things happen. That's when its up to the server to alert management and allow management to not allow guests to leave unhappy. Though we were excited to celebrate our anniversary with food, drinks, and arcade game next year we will pick a place where the staff is more pleasant.

Unfortunately, this place is only after your money and does not have good customer service. I tried to book a party through them and was quoted a price for a party room; a week later they doubled the price on me after I had already done a ton of leg work and was closing in on a venue. They would not honor the price that they originally told me. More importantly, Kirby, the events coordinator at this location offered absolutely no compromise or concern over the situation. They do not care about their customers. I hope I save at least one person from the aggravation, expense and poor customer service at this place. If you want to book a party, try Apex Peak City Grill or Café Luna (customer service is WAY better)

It's the smallest Dave & Busters I've ever been to. Didn't eat, so can't comment on restaurant. The game room is small, and they lack so many classic games. We (2 adults) were there an hour and pretty much played everything worth playing. I'll probably go back, since it's the only game in town but it was a little disappointing.

Went here on new years day. At a practically empty restaurant, we still had to wait to be seated, and then wait around 15 minutes to order our food. Our appetizer was out quickly, but was mediocre at best. Then we waited for an hour for 2 burgers. Kind of outrageous, which the waitress also realized and said she would check with the kitchen. Came back to tell us that it should "be right out", but when we had to wait another 10 minutes, we decided to take our business to the food court.

We hosted a birthday party for our teen son and 5 of his buddies. There were a total of 10 in our party. The food is mediocre but not terrible. Our server was terrific and very patient and accomodating. We were there for the arcade entertainment, not the food. Our biggest gripe was about the check. WARNING - you might end up tipping twice if you aren't careful about reading your receipt. They build in a gratuity(for large groups) on the itemized portion of the receipt. On the portion you sign, they tell you the amount of the 18% gratuity($21) and the total of your receipt ($151. 00)AND they include a blank line for a tip( I wanted to tip more than their suggested 18% and increased the amount $25.) So, if you are distracted by departing guests, you'll end up tipping $46.00 for a $121.00 bill. Our server was great and deserved a big tip but their practice of tricking unsuspecting customers into tipping twice is completely fraudulent. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

We went last night and it was great. Everyone who worked there was really upbeat and friendly. There were a lot of fun games and the prize room had a variety of things. We brought the $10 coupon that you can get online when signing up for the rewards program, which was definitely worth it. The food and drinks were good too, and reasonably priced. Just FYI, the wait for tables got really long really fast! When we got there around 7 it was only a five minute wait, but we wanted to check out the place and play a bit first. When we went back after less than an hour the wait was an hour. But we were able to get a seat at the bar. The bar area has a ton of televisions and several big screens, which would make it a great place to watch the game. They have two rooms for different functions, bouncers at the doors, a mini bar set up in the game area, juggling bartenders (always fun) and most of the machines have a call button so you can call for drinks or service if something goes wrong with your game. There are two four-person air hockey tables, one of which shoots out a ton of small pucks while you are playing which is chaotic and fun. There is also a mega claw machine and we saw a few people win basketballs and mega stuffed animals. It was a strange mix between the experiences of going to a Chuck E Cheese and Las Vegas. I know we will definitely be back!

Super disappointed in how the place is ran. We came for a birthday dinner with friends and waited over 3 hours when we were told it would be 45 minutes! Ridiculous! The manager was unhelpful and just rude.

Terrible service and bad food. Games can be fun but most of the games are always the same. Ive been to other dave and busters and most are way bigger and have a lot more. This one in all honesty sucks.

Service was great, went here for my 16th birthday party and there was no wait for the appetizers, no waits in lines for games, and the game selection was huge. If you ever got bored you could go back to the restaurant where there is a large variety and get a great meal. Overall good place, although a little hard to find.

I've been to many D&B's and this has to be the smallest... There's not a lot of games to choose from, it's like going to chuckee cheese. I really hope one day they choose to expand and add a bowling alley like most of the other ones.

Play eat with the kids. We all three got the play and eat deal. Food was good, service was quick and courteous. *So to finish the review. I had to drop a star. To many games not working or took credits without the game starting.

Went a week after it opened. The place was packed. We waited a solid 45 minutes for a table and were seated so our group was split amongst three tables. We requested to be moved and the manager was very accommodating. The food was OK. Typically greasy bar food. The menu selection is pretty big and offers good choices to please a crowd. The beer menu sucked,,,,only had things like Bud Light etc. Not a fan. The atmosphere was very loud (to be expected) and the overall experience was pretty good. This rating is based solely on the food and atmosphere as we didn't stay to play games...although those looked like fun.
