It really great experience ,it is not white cloth table restaurant in fact you cook you steak, but it great experience and the steak it great. If you want real Montana experience, local food, great food and great unbearable view !!
Great value for &100 a night. Slightly rustic but can't beat the amazing view from the porch of the meadow a, lake, and mountains-so peaceful and picturesque. Cabin has small living room, small but complete kitchen and two bedrooms with queen beds. Like I said. Great value for the money. Only 9 miles straight up canyon road from the park. Did not have the shower or tall grass issue the other review mentioned.
This is a review of the cabins. We stayed in cabin 2, and although it was an inexpensive option in a pricey location, nothing should excuse having so much disgusting mold in the shower. It was really inexcusable. The grass needed mowing pretty badly the entire time we were there (we were there for 4 days, and it was high when we got there but no one mowed.) It has a beautiful view off of the porch, and that's why I gave this place the 3 stars. For $99/night, I'll suffer some mold and wading through the high grass. There are lots of photo ops in the surrounding fields, and just beautiful scenery. If you don't mind unclean conditions for the view of the mountains, this place is for you! I would not recommend it, though...

Pancakes or flapjacks as they are called here, fantastic! Biscuits, not that great. Fantastic staff and really cool look to the place. Food is excellent Got breakfast three times and dinner twice
My wife and I came here during our trip to Yellowstone National Park because we were looking for a nice sit-down meal experience, and I'd read reviews about the view here. First, the grounds and the inside of the restaurant are beautiful. The restaurants sits on a large piece of property, complete with cows, horses, and vintage automobiles. I recommend arriving just before sunset, so you can enjoy the view and get some good pictures. The entire structure is wood, and smacks of a craftsman construction that looks very new. The place is almost worth visiting just to look at it. The service was also good. The host and waitress gave good recommendations, and they were friendly. I ordered the stuffed chicken breast, and my wife had the filet, and both were very enjoyable. She ordered her filet medium, and it came out about medium rare, so keep this in mind if you are averse to rare meat. The scalloped potatoes that came with her filet were also noteworthy. They came in a stack with bacon in the sauce. My garlic mashed potatoes were good as well. The only disappointment we had from the experience were the garden salads that came with our entrees. While the homemade blue cheese dressing that came with our entrees was good, the salads themselves were not. First, the portion of garden salad (And I'm talking the most mundane garden salad {i.e. iceberg lettuce, carrots, sliced cucumber, etc.} was anemic. There was so little salad that it didn't even cover the bottom of the bread plate on which it was served. As soon as the server set it on the table, I wanted to laugh. Secondly, the vegetables themselves did not look fresh. The sliced cucumbers looked like they'd been sitting out drying. I guess they want you to upgrade your salad for $2 to the Wedge salad, which I saw come out, and it looked large, but it seems this tactic is lost on travelers who will likely visit only once, only to be offended by a sub par and stingy salad. Lastly, it seems prudent to steer clear of the bison dishes. I was considering ordering the bison before one of the employees told me in an aside that it has too much fat, advice that was corroborated by other online reviews.
We went for my birthday ' it was really good food. My husband told the servicer it was my birthday & she drop the ball as he put it. We had a great table by the fireplace . I had the filet which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the strip. The blue cheese dressing is great on the salad. Dinner was wonderful but why only a 4 is the service. She never check back & my husband had to go find her for the bill. He paid at the bar. She did a terrible job! Hats off to the Chef for a great meal.

Got the homemade pie. Delicious! Usual dive bar kinda place, seemed like a locals mostly spot, which is rare for West Yellowstone. Service was lovely.
This place is disgusting! I can't understand why people recommend this place on yelp. We had their "masterpiece" black&tan burger. YUK! Really, mc Donalds serves better burgers. It was greasy, tasteless and cooked so dry, i needed 2 glasses of water to finish my meal. The service is below every standard, no atmospehere, no music. Don't go hete folks.
Kind of a fun environment. There's a big stuffed buffalo inside, big TVs and some slot machines inside. I sat at the bar and had a Black & Tan BBQ Burger. It came topped with onion rings, swiss cheese and the sweetest BBQ sauce I've ever tasted. (Tasted more like jelly.) The waffle fries were pretty good. I have to dock a star because the girls working the bar seemed to HATE being there. They never smiled or tried making small talk. They seemed to actively avoid talking to me unless they could help it. I don't need to be fawned over, but maybe you could realize my water glass is empty and offer a refill. Or say thank you for coming in. Or wish me a nice day on my way out. Or ask me if I need anything. Also, some 70-year-old woman was seated a few feet away from and she was smacking her tongue against her toothless gums (involuntarily??) for my ENTIRE MEAL. Good God, woman. Go back to The Walking Dead casting call you and your disgusting mouth sounds escaped from. Anyway, The Buffalo Bar & Casino will offer you pretty decent food and lousy service. You could do worse.

Haystack breakfast covered in gravy was delicious- I recommend splitting it! Standard breakfast was perfectly cooked with amazing biscuits. Breakfast burrito with bacon was chock full of bacon and great salsa. Free coffee refills. We came back the next day for coffee & to order two boxed lunches for a day of hiking in Yellowstone. Lunches were great, the bread especially. We shared two boxed lunches between four of us- two adults & two kids. Really nice staff, clean bathroom. Get the biscuits!!!
I'm so happy that there are new owners here. No more 45 minute waiting to get a sandwich and they've improved the quality tremendously. In general the service has improved so much. They have done some remodeling which looks great too. Also, they have gone back to build your own sandwich which has certainly helped streamline the process.
We had a really bad experience . Food and drinks were awful .I don't think they know what Eggs Benedict is . Eggs should have been poached , not over-easy. It was covered in some kind of think yellow sauce. YUCK ! I removed the sauce hoping for something good under neath of it. What a disappointment ! Whatever was on top[ of eggs had nothing to do with hollandaise sauce. Pasties looked dry and unappetizing, more like grocery store bought than a bakery. Chai still had unmixed powder in it, was think, and only lube warm. Just keep going to find a better place.

Fantastic selection of beers. The food was ok but really just standard bar food. I had the Elk burger which was too lean for my liking. I don't know why I always try new burgers. Beef is always the best burger. The fries were excellent. Our bartender Tim was great. He did an excellent job with everything from beer knowledge to anecdotal stories about Yellowstone. Make sure you check out the trivia on the back of the mneu!
We were hopeful seeing all the reviews. Food - well - maybe we just ordered the wrong things - was really below ordinary and definitely not worth the price in our opinion. My fish and chips had a tasteless batter and the cod was rock hard (felt like it went from freezer to fryer). Son's chicken tenders - same thing - tasteless batter - we were just glad the chicken was cooked (Some of the park restaurants had undercooked tenders). Service was good.
Great beer selection! Stays open later than most. I had the pizza, which was good. The boyfriend had the elk burger, which he said was dry. So skip the elk here! Price was about $15-$20. Service was good! They don't have desserts during summer, which sucks. Overall not great but good!

Nice atmosphere. Very friendly wait staff. Best hamburgers in town. Take from Bozeman native. Will return often. Also, they are open the winter with shortened hours.
Nothing to write home about. Disappointing delux burger. Thought it would be yummy but it was a thin patty on a plain bun.
Best food we had in Yellowstone!! We stumbled across this gem on our last day in the park, we had breakfast. It was just what we needed. Very friendly staff. It's inside a store/gift shop. BTW... the gift shop there has an awesome clearance section (the best in the park)! What a great way to buy friends and family souvenirs!! Yummy food!!

Food is delicious, portions are big, and service is fairly quick! It's great for families and kids as well :) I got a sandwich with a side of Tomato Basil Ravioli soup. The soup was really good and the sandwich (corned beef) was definitely very filling.
We had the food delivered after a long day of sightseeing. I had the grilled cheese with potato salad which was really good. you can tell the potato salad is handmade.. Hubby had a steak sandwich with fries which was also good. The grilled cheese was $5.45 which was not a bad value. Not sure about the steak sandwich cost but I don't think it could have been that much...a nice little place for a bite to eat..
Exhausted and famished after a long day at Yellowstone, my friends and I stopped by Gusher's for some grub. One problem: 30 minute wait. Solution: grabbed a menu and had them deliver to our hotel! We had a pretty damn good pizza and the yummy veggie basket (zucchini, mushrooms, and cauliflower) Delivery was quick and prices weren't too bad.

Honestly looking at the other reviews I don't understand what people were expecting...this is NOT the 4 seasons, but they never claim to be. Yes it is expensive, the deluxe was about $300/nt, but you are paying for the experience of camping in the middle of Montana, in beautiful surroundings, without the hassles of bugs, no showers, etc. If you are a car camper and you want a little more luxury, this is it. We saw so many campsites, motels, and hotels that were just in town, or camp sites that looked like a parking lot. If you're back country camping in the middle of Yellowstone, then yes, your view and experience will likely top this place. But if you're in a motel, or some parking lot camping, the scenery of this place is unreal. Opt for a deluxe or higher suite just for the views alone. Deluxe was plenty for us, no need for the suite. We even used the shared bathrooms every once and a while, they are VERY NICE, surprisingly nice. If you are looking for a Montana camping experience unlike any other, and you go in with the right mindset, this place is all you need!
Overall it was good experience. I don't like camping but my boyfriend wanted me to get camping experience (this was very close to camping). We stayed at Tipi. It was spacious enough for two people. The restroom was surprisingly clean, considering we were there at 9 pm. We didn't have to wait in line for restroom both in the morning and at night (we went to use the shower at 9:30 pm and at 4:30 am). I didn't have problem with noise but my boyfriend did. He said a group of people kept talking all night long. I think it was understandable, considered we were sleeping in the tent not an actual hotel room. If you don't like noise I suggest ear plugs. Per the guy at the register, you are allowed to have liquid but not solid food. If you spill anything you have to tell them right away. At the register area, they also provide drinks like hot chocolate, coffee, tea and water. If you need to charge your phone, you can charge it there. You may want to bring mirror. If I remember correctly, the big bathroom in the middle didn't have mirror. We brought our own towels and toilet papers, just in case they ran out. We also brought our own pillowcases (I got freaked out after reading one of the reviews about stain one the pillow). I will do it again but maybe during June or July. It was too cold at the time we when we went (September).
We had a wonderful 5-night stay here in June of 2015! We stayed in a tipi tent and enjoyed the beautiful views of the landscape and the mountains! We used the pool and hot tub at the lodge and ate at the Bar N Ranch restaurant a couple times -- LOVE that both are walkable from the tipis. YUC is located about 15 minutes away from the town of West Yellowstone and the west entrance to the national park. There are also several places to go horseback riding within a 5-mile radius, and we definitely took advantage. All-in-all a wonderful experience!

First of all, I'm only talking about their grilled food here and not their ice cream which I presume is the same everywhere out of the machine. I do love DQ all around Montana, I find the quality is usually better and fresher than any other fast food joint but this one isn't even close to being like the rest of them. We had to feed our bag of burgers to our dogs and they wouldn't even eat them cause of all the excess mustard that was sloped on the dried out and stale burgers and buns. Come on, get it together West DQ!
For some reason, yelp shows this place way out of town, when it is actually not. If the weather is good, you'll see a big line in front of the place. It's a walk-by type a location with spots for some to sit, but best to just grab n go. Quick n fast. Can't go wrong
The only place open in "West" after 10 PM. Rolling in off the river after the last of the Caddis hatch, my dinner often consisted of a Grillburger (or two), Fries, Chicken Fingers, and the obligatory Blizzard, Shake or Sundae. I normally am a fan of DQ, but especially loved this one...during the summer it's staffed with irreverent Jamaican kids who could care less about keeping the business running smoothly rather than joking and laughing... "hey Mon...yo burga is oop". But they always had a smile, and I never seemed to have to wait too long, even with the crowds. So, if you find yourself in West late a night, head on over for a frostry treat and a laugh.
