This place is to die for and worth the drive from Eureka or Kalispell/ Whitefish. The seafood is great and the prime rib is out of this world. I have eaten at some fine restaurants all over the world and the prime rib here takes the cake. It's a great deal for your money, you get a soup or salad, side and dessert with your entree. When my husband and I went there the first time the owner/ chef greeted us at he door with a huge smile and genuine welcome, followed by a sweet cheerful server and wonderful service and food. Go here you won't be disappointed, if I could give more stars I would.

I went with my friend and her family and they said Point of Rocks was a great place to have prime rib. The food was great, but since we went in the later evening on the patio, we could not see beside the one orange street light. We had to find a dog friendly place for our puppy and in the back outside was great. The bartender was a bit rude and acted like she couldn't fit us in if we were outside, even though the place was not busy at all. I recommend giving the bartender a $5 tip to get her on your side. The place is known for its great prime rib but on the night we went there, there was only one 8 oz piece left. I had it and it was very good. We got served well and, although a bit slow, had a great time!

We went back two more times on our latest trip there. The food was great and if the weather is nice I highly recommend eating outside. We had a large party and the staff handled us perfectly. I am looking forward to our next visit and going back for Prime Rib.

My experience with Point of Rocks has always been a good one. The steaks were always amazing: seared and hot on the outside and so tender on the inside. That is why our dinner last night was a disappointment. It ain't what it used to be. I ordered the 6-oz sirloin, and my boyfriend got the sirloin and shrimp. Our salads arrived: chopped iceberg lettuce, shredded cheddar, croutons and cherry tomatoes. Then our main course arrived, and I was looking forward to my big baked potato with butter and sour cream, My "butter" was margarine, and the Texas toast and the dip for the shrimp were all margarine as well. Our steaks were a dark shade of gray: no grill marks, no sizzling, no seasoning (not even salt and pepper) and they weren't even hot. The only thing that made it palatable was its tenderness. On the bright side, our server was very warm and friendly :) Butter luck next time.

Usually good, but we had one very bad experience there on a special occasion (cold food, bad steaks, poor service that night). Hopefully whatever problem there was has been remedied, because it is a cool place with great potential.

We love Point of Rocks!! It's a casual restaurant, but with a very nice atmosphere, prompt staff, and the best prime rib around. My family lives in the area and every time we visit we make a point to eat here. This restaurant delivers consistent quality and service; It's worth it every time. If you want a perceived fancy and overpriced meal, stay in Whitefish. If you want really good quality at a reasonable price without any pomp and circumstance, this is your place. Make the drive! They do have winter hours so call first to check on when they are open.

Best prime rib in Montana or anywhere else for that matter. The service was fantastic. This place is worth the short drive from Whitefish. The prices are reasonable or even inexpensive considering what you get. If your in the Glacier park area, definitely make the short drive to Olney up Hiway 93. I personally gaurs tee you will agree with me.
