Really, an alright place. Pos: none of that eunuch millennial crap so popular in the city center. You have to DRIVE here, so right away that excludes a bunch of holier-than-though nobodies. Pos: bands are real. Plenty of dancing. Pos: pizza guy is good. I only had nachos. Pos: table service is good, for drinks. Neg: way too loud. It was turned up like heavy metal death music. I had to leave.

I came here on a Thursday night to see a band and was really excited when I walked in. I loved the country music and the people dancing were amazing! They have a big dance floor that filled up around 1030. The bartender was a younger guy and he was super friendly and patient with everyone. I typically don't like to write bad reviews and to me a 3 is pretty bad. I have to do it though because our waitress was just awful. She was this cute tiny brunette and when I asked her if the jalapeño poppers had cheddar cheese or cream cheese in them, she directed me on how to get to the kitchen across the bar to ask the chef. It blew my mind. I've worked in the service industry before and THIS was a big no-no. It wasn't even that busy and not only should she know the answer, but if she doesn't she should learn it. They only have like 8 things on the white board menu. Needless to say I did not get the jalapeño poppers and what could have been one of my new favorite spots, threw me for a loop.

They just kicked me out for not having an ID. I wasn't drinking, didn't intend to drink. All I wanted was pizza. There is no law about being in a bar with out and ID, even if you are 21. Old blonde server was extremely rude about it as well. Won't be going back.

What a gem! Live music, dance floor with lots of two steppers, an outdoor bar area, a karaoke room. What more can you ask for? I wish there was some line dancing, but we kept ourselves busy with two stepping and karaoke on a Friday night. I will definitely be back when I come to MIssoula.

The Sunrise is a great place to kick it on a weekend evening. They frequently hire live bands (though not all of them great, hence the -1 star) and have a ton of dancing regulars - I always have a good time! Their best bands are definitely County Line and Pay Dirt - don't miss them! My favorite thing about the Sunrise is the wide range of folks that frequent there: 21-60, cowboys and city slickers, beer drinkers and shot takers! This is a great place for a group to start or end a night in Missoula!

I really want to give this place a better review. It should probably be one star but since they just opened I am giving them a break. This place is new, inside and to the left on the Small bar side. I shall assume the older short bald dude is the owner. Maybe so maybe not. Either way he seemed to be acting like it. He and the young kid who were working that night have absolutely no clue how to conduct themselves with the public. Greetings are nonexistent. No hi, no how are you tonight, nothing. Neither one seems to know how to smile. Just no customer service idea at all. Before I mention the pizza I read this on the menu or something close. All of the flour and tomatoes are imported from Italy. They also use as much local produce as possible. The oven is wood fired with gas. From what I understand the owner went to Italy for a few months to learn how to make pies Italian style. Good for them. Now on to the food. I could hear the kid scraping the crust of a pizza he had just pulled out of oven. The first thing I thought was it reminded me of doing that as a kid after burning toast. Well that was our pizza. Now I love well done pizza but rarely say so when ordering at a place that serves thin crust. this was flat out burnt though crust wise. Before taking it back I look at the bottom and it was fine so just put up with it. I love the crust but this was throw away. Upon the kid bringing the pizza all he did was set it down and walked off.The tables contain nothing. You have to go get you own cheese, chilies and napkins yourself. During and after eating nobody showed up to see if everything was okay. Now for a new place you might need to know this to improve. Now the pizza. It wasn't that it was bad by any means. It doesn't have a tomato sauce per se like the avg person is use to. It is more like a thin layer of crushed tomatoes, So the flavor is very light tasting. But it was overwhelmed by the burnt taste. Ours also had a few veggies and sausage on it. Overall the pizza needs another chance after they figure out how to work the oven and come up with a little so called customer service. The night we went was on a Sat after the Griz/Cal Poly game. People in the bar but only one other table in here. I truly hope they fix the problems but only time will tell.
