This is a great little drop-in while enjoying all the fun things to do in downtown Missoula, Montana. We like to choose the seats in the window so we can watch the passerbys and try to decide if they are "locals" or "tourists." If they are walking with a dog or driving a pickup, they are "locals." If they are dressed to the hilt and their cowboy boots look new, they are tourists and we send them blessings and hope they drop lots of money here. On to the Pita Pit. We love their salads, which are made of all the ingredients but with out the pita. You can have them pile everything in the trays on your salads. Not very much in love with the tuna, though. It is just opening a can of tuna and dumping it on the sald or pita. Enjoy the salad or pita and the view from the window. in joy, Judy Helm Wright, Pet Grief Coach

Not the best place in town.

Unfortunately, our first visit to the Missoula Pita Pit was very...unfortunate. I waited inside the store for nearly five minutes, because there were no employees to be seen! In the end I had to call the restaurant just to get them to come out of the back room. The one star that I'm giving are for my wife's Gyro which she's had at other Pita Pits and was as expected. My sandwich however, I believe the new California Club, was very bad. Especially the avocado spread...which was a putrid brown (check out my photo). Took about 3 bites and couldn't stomach it anymore. Had to throw the rest of the sand which away. Very disappointing overall.

It's a healthier alternative to typical fast casual and a little different than a sandwich.

This place is amazing, fresh ingredients and a very cool staff. Also seems to be one of the the few late night options on Missoula. The list of topping is impressive, I ordered several Pitas with the works. Which included toppings such a pineapple, spinach and olives. Would highly recommend this place for lunch or even better for a late meal once the bars are closed.

I have to say that I'm quite disappointed, usually this is the best place in town to get food, On this night when we went in with our kids there was only two other people in the restaurant eating and they had three employees working, i'm not sure what was going on but the gentleman who took our order seemed liked he was on something! his eyes were red he was very dopey and I kept having to repeat my order and he still messed it up. The rest of our order was put together just fine and we sat down to eat, I was about halfway through my pita when I felt something in my mouth it turned out to be a long blonde curly hair that literally strung out of my mouth! it was all I could do not to lose my dinner. As we were leaving I went up and told one of the other people working there that they should change the lettuce because there's hair in it. He seems pretty embarrassed and apologized and said he would change it, but it would've been nice if he would've offered to remake it, not that I would've taken him up on it but the gesture would've been nice. Now I'm just bummed out because the last restaurant that I had this problem with I wasn't able to eat at for a few years and I love Pita pit. :-(

The Pita Pit is one of my favorite places to go to in MT. Morning - PITA PIT. Afternoon - PITA PIT. Dinner - PITA PIT. Late night - PITA PIT! You design your pita how you want it and it comes out even better. I really enjoy this place and will come back ANY time I go to MT!

Normally we love this place... But tonight not so much. My wife's club had a long curly blond hair in it that she pulled out of her mouth. My Philly was good and both my kids were good.

My daughter and I recently ate here while on a motorcycle trip. We really enjoyed it and can only assume from other reviews that we must have visited when there was good staff members working. We have eaten at several Pita Pits and based on our one experience this seems to be a very good one. It was very clean, and the two young ladies behind the counter were very friendly. Both of our pita's seemed to be especially well stuffed and plump. I wouldn't hesitate to eat at this location again.

As far as other Pita Pit franchises go, this one's a dump. Ya never know what you're going to get here. You might have a tasty plump pita one day and a bland slim pita another depending on who's working. You can't blame the staff though because they're under paid for the insane bar rush they experience. If you're not plastered drunk, do not go here Thursday thru Saturday night. Delivery times are triple that of Jimmy Johns and prices are higher as well. For the best odds of getting a descent pita sandwich stop in around lunch time and be descriptive with your order, each sandwich is essentially made to order, all be it from a freezer stocked by Cisco.

I just went to Pita Pit in Spokane and had a really good experience even though the kid was there by himself with a line of a bout 6 people; he still had a great attitude and made the best Vegetarian wrap. Anyway, this kid at the Pita Pit in Missoula was just so blank. He barely cooked my spicy black bean patty on the stove, it was cold when I got it. Terrible customer service! May as well have a robot working there, it would be the same, probably better. I will never go there again! Get some character you pile!

In all fairness I've never been there sober, or during daylight hours. For whatever reason it calls to me once in a while after a night out on the town. It's nothing special, but it's hot and fast and within walking distance of all of the bars downtown. The paint on the walls is migraine-inducing, and the dudes working are too stoned to know feta from BBQ sauce, but you probably won't even notice as you chomp down your late night snack on the curb. I imagine if I ever went in during the day I wouldn't go back again at night, no matter how much I'd had to drink.

Pita Pit is AMAZING! They are absolutely delicious. I recommend the prime rib pita. They are open late and they deliver. I only wish that they would come to Snohomish county Washington.

Just went there for lunch a few days ago, . Very nice, friendly, efficient staff. Had the tuna on a white pita. It was really good! I would go back.

EPIC!!!! I didn't live in Montana very long but one highlight was finding about this place. I ate here about 3 times a week, usually around 2am & drunk & let me tell you, wait I already did tell you . . . . . . . EPIC!!!!

The food is ok but the service has always been so consistently awful that I stopped eating there. I was helped by the "manager" once and he the worst one of all. Also, I don't think it's cheap as one person said. You you get like 3 veggies and then they start charging you for each one. Chips, drink, and pita with extra toppings gets to around $10 fast. Skip it.
