SERIOUSLY. This place is AH-Mazing. We didn't want to go any where because it's so pretty but since we were there for Yellowstone we grudgingly obliged and went into the park. This place is magical. I loved the river right behind the cabins the owners provide fresh farm eggs, milk, juice, coffee, et. in the cabins for breakfasts. If you're there during growing season they have a garden that you can pick from, we had sweet tomatoes, basil, zucchini, and mint just in the two days we were there. If you stay in the Annie Oakley cabin you have access to a cute little "sheep herders" trailer next to your cabin where up to two more people can sleep. The owners live on the property and their office is in the kitchen, they are a couple of older women in their 60's and absolutely adorable and quirky. The landscaping is all done by them and most of the art that scatters the property, most of which is steel and aluminum work all very beautiful. I can't wait to go back, this place is incredible and made our trip worth it.

Some people get into the restaurant/catering business for all the wrong reasons... not Dan and Carol. They have it in their blood and they put their heart into soul into everything that comes out of their kitchen. It's a pleasure to eat at their establishment. My regular lunch is the grilled veggie sandwich (loaded with fresh basil) on Dakota bread. I love it.
We stopped by yesterday on our way to Bozeman from Yellowstone. We were in a rush and had to get our food to go. Everything looked so delicious! We picked sandwiches since they'd be easier to eat in the car. We had the BLT, turkey, and roast beef. All were so yummy! I would love to be able to visit again and try some things from the hot menu. Great service too, btw.
Without a doubt, some of the best food I have had. The chicken soup was incredible and their salads are fantastic.

Food and service was a perfect 10. The pork dish was super moist, cooked perfectly at a medium temperature served with whipped mashed potatoes. The quality of pork was one of the best I've eaten. The restaurant is closed on Monday and last reservation is at 745 pm. If you visit yellowstone, you have to make a stop here for breakfast and especially dinner.
My family found this place by total chance on our way back to Bozeman from Yellowstone because we were starving and looking to grab some dinner. I'm surprised there aren't more yelp reviews because we all agreed it was some of the best food we've had in a while (and we are hardcore foodies from SF/NY). We got there right at 9 pm as they were technically closing, and were told that it was reservation only, but managed to convince the manager to seat us anyways (the initial snootiness is the only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars). But the food totally made up for it- everything was perfectly cooked and presented. We enjoyed the sashimi, indian-spiced chicken, and ahi tuna in particular. We also had a few vegetarians and they were able to whip up an amazing coconut curry that wasn't on the menu. The desserts were also fantastic (my little brother is still dreaming of that graham cracker ice cream)! The restaurant is located right next to a shady looking Inn but don't let that fool you, because the place itself is really beautiful and right next to the river with a great outdoor seating area. It's definitely a little fancy and they made a kind of big deal about it being reservation only, but in the end, the staff were super nice and our waiter was great. Definitely would recommend if you're driving from Yellowstone to MT looking for a nice sit down dinner!
Amazing meal- smoked trout salad, bison over basil mashed potatoes with pancetta... Started with the sashimi (delicious, though tiny), and lamb ribs (mmm) and Asiago fries- everything was delicious. For dessert we loved the chocolate cake with graham cracker ice cream. Service was wonderful, view of the river beautiful, and we enjoyed our desserts around the fire pit outside. A perfect meal!

Super duper tasty! We got the molcajeta (shrimp) and the carne asada. Both fantastic!!!!! Massive portions too. Stop in and eat well
Wed 730pm 8-5-15 First I have to say the chips, salsa, cabage dish was good. Sadly that is all I can say that was good. I sat at the bar and do not know if they really had a bartender. 3 different people working the bar area and tables. Little confusing and makes for poor services. The bar top was empty except for me and there was no one to be found to serve me or ask if I needed anything or if the food was ok. During my time I watched several people wait to either be seated or place a to go order and walk out because no one helped them. As far as the food is concered it was horrible. It was bland. The meat which was carnitas de res (sirloin tips? More like strips), which tasted as if it had been boiled in plain unflavored water. The onions peppers and mushrooms which I added were unseasoned liked the meat and bland. The rice was ok and the guacamole was good. I love Mexican food and have ate it across country at small towns and big cities amd have had good and bad. I live in Arizona and have had great traditional Mexican food and what I jad tonight does not come close. I read the reviews and picked this place based on them went there. I am a chef and I would give them another try because of my culinary background but I would be cautious. Its sad to say I would rate Taco Bell or Taco Johns above them based on my experience.
The service was fast, food was delicious, and the staff was courteous. I recommend this to any fan of Mexican food

Reviewing because there's no entry for the Latté Stout on BeerAdvocate... The Latté Stout (seasonal as of now) was excellent ... a creamy mouthfeel with an exquisite balance of coffee and chocolate notes (the coffee isn't nearly as assertive as other coffee beers I've had, and this beer was better for it). The Double IPA was also very solid. The bartender said it was well over 100 IBUs (!), but I have to question that assessment. Maybe that's because I'm a "hophead", but I thought it was a well-balanced beer with some light, hoppy citrus notes -- particularly tartness of grapefruit -- and underlying malty sweetness. Go for the great beer, go for the service (the bartenders are incredibly friendly), and go to witness the majesty of Phred, quite possibly Livingston's most famous puffer fish.
Excellent craft beers, friendly helpful service, relaxing atmosphere, good food including sushi.
The staff and brewer were very friendly. We were heading to Yellowstone and they gave us a lot of recommendations. They had a great session beer as well as flavorful beers with interesting flavor profiles. They also have a great mead made from alfalfa honey. Their coconut shrimp is delicious, I didn't think it needed the cocktail sauce. We also had the burger with cheddar mixed in with the patty, wrapped in bacon. It was good, but I would have liked it with some tomato and lettuce and a toasted bun.

Yummy food. Curry noodles were spicy but perfrct and huge. The elk burger should be eaten medium to get best flavor and is amazing with bacon n avacodo. The beer choices are vast and you can try a sample before deciding what you want. Love Livingston's hospitality too.. wonderful food n service.
We come up to Livingston every other year or so. My wife grew up here and had family here. One of our favorite places to come was The Sport. It just kind of felt like Livingston to us. I guess it's been a while since we have been back, 2 or 3 years and they made some changes. It's like the owners went on vacation to San Francisco and came back and thought "You know what we need to upscale the place". They took out a bunch of nice small tables and put in a high bench all along one wall. They the took out that great bookshelf/armoire furniture piece and put in fire pit seating arrangement. And the food got very gourmet or at least tried to be and they raised the prices to match. Now the whole place feels like something that was designed to cater to crowds of yuppie in Aspen or some such place. If I want that sort of thing I would go there. It's like they want to compete with the Chop House down the street. Don't get me wrong, I can do snooty foody type places. Hell I lived in SF for over 10 years. But I feel that they had a good thing and then ditched it to try and be something else. Hey it's their place and it's their choice. My choice is that if I want that sort of thing I don't go to Montana for it. And if I'm in Livingston I can go to the Chop House or over to Bozeman, I don't think they needed another over priced restaurant in town. Guess I'm just getting to be an old fart who doesn't like change.
This is the yuppie bar of the locations in livingston. great food, although I'm not sure if there is anything truly healthy. They server a variety of burgers made from elk, buffalo and other animals. The fries are to die for, to use an east coast vernacular. Wait staff was very friendly. There a lot of taxidermy on the walls so if you're offended by that type of thing.. go somewhere else please.. The stuffed Wolverine on the bar says it all about the place. it's great. If you need free wifi, you're not social or drunk enough to be here.

I miss these Burgers more than I can say!!!!! The Best.
The service was good, the food okay, the price lousy.
Ok, it's been a few years since we have been back in town. First night we went to the sport. Ugh, they seem to have decided to carter to the yuppie/tourist crowd. Said to see a place with such character change so much. Second night was here. This place has not changed a bit! Dive bar up front complete with slots. Great steaks cooked just right in the back. This is the CLASSIC small down steak house! I got the ribeye and loved every bit of it. Can't wait to go back. Bonus tip. If you are there just for the food there is parking in the back. Also they are Cash only.

What happened to the days of a simple, down-home cafe? Some parts of the country still stay true to a comfortable, quiet cafe. Hearthstone serves all organic foods and drinks for very reasonable prices. Get a full French-pressed coffee (~16oz. if not more) for a mere $2 or so? Not bad! It's a true locals' place, but that doesn't mean you can't pop in and try the little place out. The decor is simple but heartwarming, with plenty of room to sit and relax. When I waltzed into the cafe/bakery, I was greeted with wonderful hospitality. My sister and I each had a warm drink (apple cider, French-press coffee) and a sweet treat--all for under $6. Hearthstone is only open until 2-3pm, so it's worth it to swing by early in the day to relax. It's just right off of Main Street in Livingston, so it's nearby all the fine shopping downtown.

As a Chinese person, I can tell that this restaurant has tried its best to make authentic food and they kinda did a great job. We ordered Cha-shew, tofu and Szechuan beef and they were all good. The only thing is that there were only two people serving for the whole place so you kinda have to wait a little bit for everything. Otherwise, I recommend it!
