I have traveled several times to the area of Kalispell and have always made sure that a stop off at this restaurant was on the schedule. I love how they make the tortillas fresh in front of you and the portion sizes are huge (by Canadian standards). I have always gotten great service from there and have found the restaurant to be very clean when I have visited. I will defiantly be back the next time I am in town.

I find you are either a Bajio fan or a Qdoba fan around here. These are both places that mimic the Chipotle method: Move on down the line, choose your toppings, and perfect your dish to your liking. Bajio has a sweeter Mexican taste profile than I like, so I prefer Qdoba. Bajio has a sweet rice, sweeter meats, sweet salsas. There are more savory options here too, but if you're not careful your meal can end up tasting overly sweet. But you might like that kind of thing. I haven't found something I just had to come back for yet. I do appreciate that they have enchiladas, but you can get a more decent enchilada at one of the local authentic Mexican restaurants. It has a cool atmosphere here and they do serve beer.

FOR THE NEW TO BAJIO PROS: Fresh made tortillas, great tasting meats, nice fresh veggies, a "subway style" add what you want cafeteria line, good salsa, generous portions, quick lines (if there ever is one), nice staff, fun seating with a Mexico vibe inside, extreme sports on TV, hot sauces, a "too many choices"coke machine that spits out loads of options, horchata in3 flavors, and free 10MBPS wifi (code is the same as the wifi network SSID). Stereo is playing always. Two words, desert tortilla!!!!! CONS: it's not authentic Mexican. It only has an A health rating, not an A+... Seriously, not sure how this lace could ever gets bad review?? It's always been nothing but amazing for me. Highly recommended !

I thought this place might be a dive, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Built to order tacos, burritos, salads, etc. I went with the fish tacos meal and was very pleased. Their recommended white sauce for the fish tacos was excellent -- really glad I went with the recommendation instead of trying to select my own ingredients. The salad seemed great for another member of my party; generous, well-spiced. You can even get a genuine Mexican Coke here. (BTW, why can't the US manage to make a soft drink with real sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup? Is it the corn growers political clout or something?) I'll definitely plan to be a return customer.

Mmmmmmmm, bajio. Favorites are beef burrito and the vegetarian salad. Hey, i'm a flexitarian man! Fresh tortillas made to order, and toasted to bubbly goodness on the griddle before being stuffed with sweet mexican rice and all sorts of super fresh stuff! Everything is delicious. Sweet pork. Balsamic chicken. Green chile chicken. Nachos are amazing. One of those magical coke machines with hundreds of options. Raspberry coke! Say whaaaat!?

Your decision to cheap out and start using iceburg lettuce instead of romaine has stopped us from going there. We used to get salads there 2 to 3 times a week. Bad move.

So disappointed...I've eaten at Bajio in Utah before and always had a great experience. Pro: Friendly, helpful staff Clean Restaurant Con: The steak in my burrito was dry, chewy and not flavorful at all

Not really that good of food and not authentic at all. Service is slow and building smells funny.

Love this place! Queso is awesome and so are the chimichangas! Guacamole is not so good, tastes bitter. Staff is mostly helpful.

Can't wait to go back! A cute gal with a beautiful accent suggested the new Sweet Pork. It was great! Ask for Delva.

Not sure if I would come back. The tortillas are made fresh, but the flavor of the food was okay. I could have gotten the same at Taco Bell.

Had a quesadilla and the fish tacos. Best quesadilla I have ever had and the fish taco was better than average. Not the friendliest staff but will definitely return!

Felt like a Moe's/Qdoba kind of place. I got the shrimp tacos with mango salsa it was WAY better than I expected! Just the right blend of sweet and spicy and went really well with the shrimp. Staff was nice and it was a great meal after a long day.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
