Rob and Genie Chapman operate this local favorite and it is like being in their kitchen. Portions are HUGE and very nicely prepared. Closes at 2pm, so this is a breakfast and lunch place. Don't even think about a "stack" of pancakes. One pancake flops over a dinner plate and must measure 14 inches across. You can order one stuffed with ham and cheese which will easily feed two to three people. Voted best breakfast and best burger in the Bitterroot Valley for good reason. Their french fries are made when ordered and are perfect: crispy, hot (!) and just wonderful. Order ranch dressing for dipping for the $.50 extra. Genie offers some form of Mexican special each week on Thursdays and you will gorge on a cheesy treat. Ask for her special salsa which is exactly that: chopped peppers, onions, etc and she will not tell you how it is made. Pay extra if you want it with their other offerings. Servers will accommodate changes and Rob and Genie circulate to chat among the diners. A very nice place, offering good solid food prepared by very nice people.

Really popular local spot, was packed on a Saturday morning. Family owned diner feel yet service was mediocre. For a simple dish like a ham scramble ($10.50), I was expecting more flavor. It came out being diced ham with eggs & flavorless potatoes that couldn't be saved with salt or pepper. Don't think most of their ingredients were fresh either since I saw a cook taking meat out of the freezer that's located within the dining room. Large portions of mediocrity.

wow - terrible terrible grade school cafeteria styled hamburger - they write MONTANA BEEF on the menu but it sure wasn't it was like a frozen costco burger or worse. I asked for the fries to be cooked well done and very crispy - they came out white and soggy - i didn't eat them - the woman never checked back until end of meal to bring me my check and told me she would recook them -hahah too late - would be surprised if this place stays around much longer with the new generation of young people in hamilton who would never eat here

Fantastic spot for breakfast. I had the ham & cheese stuffed flapjack, which was deliciously crispy, and the ham & cheese worked surprisingly well with the pancake. Coffee was good and quickly refilled. Note that they only take cash & checks. I didn't have either, but they were nice enough to let me leave to find an ATM nearby and come back to pay.

This is a great place for breakfast I highly recommend this to anyone. The cinnamon rolls are amazing, be hungry when you go here because the portion sizes are huge!

Great meal. Hub cap pancake was delicious and eggs tasted like mama made em. SW sausage very tasty. Coffee needs fortifying.

Some places claim to have large portions... well these guys set the standard. Come hungry... especially if you order the pancakes. They are literally "hub cap sized."

Best breakfast in the Missoula Bitteroot area. We make the drive from Missoula to Hamilton when in town just to eat here. Be aware that they are closed on Mon and Tues. I believe everything here is made from scratch or close to it. Not one thing we have eaten here has been bad. The Meatloaf sandwich is rich and just has an amazing flavor. The chicken fried Steak is hand breaded and massive. The wife loves the Sourdough Pancake stuffed with Smoky Ham and Cheese, as do I,lol. The fact is this place does not falter with any of their menu items.
