Who the heck doesn't love Pickle Barrel!? You can almost go to any location and the food is always amazing, but not every single one has such top notch, caring, and compassion owners, who seriously will go above and beyond to make sure you are have the best experience ever and provide a such a fun atmosphere to hang out, or grab a quick bite. I can honestly write this and say that if you swing into this one, you will truly be treated like family, and the genuine love that will go into the making and preparation of your food will make it taste better than any other location you have been to. Everyone likes to be liked, recognized, and appreciated in life and you get all of the above here. Stop in. Enjoy, and make sure you say hi to Chelsea and Dan! They are two of the most awesome people you will meet and most definitely make your experience the best. I only wish I still lived in Billings...I would be a frequent diner for sure! I can't wait to be back in B-town this summer. BEST Pickle Barrel, ever!! See you guys soon!! :)

Philly Cheese Steak sammich is nom nom noommmm amazing! Just like the old philly cheese steak the PB on 13th used to serve, before new ownership took over....and dare I say...killed it. RIP sammiches on 13th. So for a hot sandwich, you won't be disappointed with the PCS here!! I was a bit surprised at the poor customer service here tho...as I always recalled PB having an awesome chill environment. I was surprised with a mass of grumpy teenagers, that just couldn't wait for me to leave. Lol. The kids seem to do the bare minimum for taking my order, blandly staring at me as I chose my sandwiches from the menu, no kind recommendations or anything, not a single hint of a smile the whole time. Then beyond accepting my order, they basically acted like we weren't even there after that. And I have to add for hygiene reasons, that I was bothered by the grooming of 2 of these employees. 1 teen girl had very long hair, that was severely messy as if she just stepped out of bed. Then she had it very loosely piled on top of her head into an almost messy bun. Besides looking like a complete slob....I would rather that much loose hanging hair not be around my food prep. And also, 1 young man had a full sized beard. Like a duck dynasty / hipster beard, lmao. Anyways, he did NOT have a beard hair net over all that facial hair while I watched him make sandwiches. Neither did the ragamuffin birds nest hair girl. I thought hair nets were a food prep requirement in the state of Montana? Or at least a common sense thing if u have an abnormal amount of hair just hanging out there...ready to fall into food..... Summery. The Philly cheese steak is amazing. And the employees are crass and aloof and severely lacking customer service. And hair hanging out everywhere in the kitchen. Boom.

Went to check out this place today and was not impressed as we had hoped we would be. We both got the special of the day which was the Turkey. We were thinking as we ate and watched everyone else eat that the hot sandwiches were the way to go. The turkey seemed very rubbery and processed. Had to remove half the bread on the sandwich as this was all you tasted. It's great that there is a bucket of pickles for free, but maybe they should fill it. When we asked for this to be done the girl at the counter seemed very put out to have to go do this. When back in the area I am not sure this is a place that I would come back to.

We stopped here for lunch as we were travelling through on I-94. The service was meh. The girl taking our order just sort of stared blankly at us and entered our requests. We had 2 young kids with us and there was no kids menu, per se. However, when we got our sandwiches my son's was smaller than the rest of ours and was on the bill as a 1/4 sandwich. Wish I would have known that was an option, I would have gotten it for my daughter too. The sandwiches are huge, even a half portion was more than I could eat. There was nothing special about them. Pretty basic, bland sub sandwiches. I'd pass on this restaurant.

First time trying this place. Sandwiches were huge!! We all ordered half sandwiches and still went home with over half left! Mom got the bbq chicken and her only complaint was that the sauce wasn't very flavorful. Will be back!

Stopped in today for the first time since reopening. Sandwiches were just as good as we remembered and had been missing. Great, prompt service, very clean. We will be returning again and again. So nice to have them back. One thing I was concerned to overhear: one of the food preparers had dreadlocks and was rubbing her hands in her hair complaining that it was heavy and that she hadn't done anything to it for four years. I was glad to see that she put on rubber gloves when working with food, but I wonder if she should even be around food preparation with that shaggy, dirty mess. .

On a recent trip to Billings, I was so happy to see the Pickle Barrel had re-opened in Billings. The new location is much nicer than the old location. The vibe was great, they have a very nice outdoor patio. The tables and chairs are way nicer than the old green plastic chairs. The new owners were hands on and had a very great attitude, very welcoming. Though it was very busy, virtually every table full, we received our order very quickly. My cheese steak was better than ever, the bread was soooo good!!!!!! The Pickle Barrel in Billings has definitely been upgraded. So glad to have it back!!!!!!!!

Looks like someone did not like my review of the Pickle Barrel. Maybe they shouldn't throw parties until 2 in the morning and their neighbors wouldn't get angry. Just a thought pickle barrel.....you are horrible neighbors! Also, way to follow through with your promise to keep your patrons out of our parking area. One of them literally blocked my garage so they could go and buy a sandwich from your establishment. How thoughtful.

Great fresh food and lots of it. The portion size is huge. A bit over priced. The service is not so good. The people their should be more informed on running the cash register. the entire staff should be aware of all policies and if their not sure they definitely should NOT speak until they ASK the manager....

So glad to have a Pickle Barrel again in Billings ( and this one is near my house!) Huge sandwiches, lots of fillings and the bread is really fresh and tasty. We really like the pleasant outdoor dining area, too.
