India in Montana!? Even my kids love it and it is our new take out place. A bit pricey however but thank you for the free dessert.

Yum!!! So nice to see a bit more diversity in the billings food scene. My boyfriend and I have been twice now and have had a great experience both times. Service was attentive but not too overbearing, clean and cool set up, and food was great. I would recommend the butter chicken and the tandoori. Portions were perfect for sharing. The menu is a little tricky to understand but get brave and ask questions. You won't be disappointed!

I was surprised to find such delicious Indian food in billings. The staff was super helpful, it was quiet even though there were a good number of customers, and the food was fantastic. Understand before you go that Indian food is always a little more expensive because they normally use all fresh ingredients. Flatbread, or naan, is normally dry since it isn't a deli roll. And Indian food is never super fast. It's a real dinner, not McDonald's. Loved this place and can't wait to go back.

I thought every dish I tried was absolutely delicious with amazing flavor. However, I felt it was priced high at $16 for a dish of meat in sauce, or a dish with chicken and a few thin slices of onion, with rice for the table. (The rice was also delicious though) our food took a very long time to come out and their appeared to be only one waitress for the entire restaurant, but she was very friendly and got us what we needed. I would love more vegetables in my meal, but I will definitely go back because it tasted so good.

This was actually really good. My only problem was that we had come right when the buffet opened, and I dont think they turned on the heat on the buffet so the food was hot when we started. When we got a second plate, everything was ice cold. But the flavor was great!

I came for the lunch buffet and it was surprisingly really good ! I thought there should have been a few more chicken dishes and saag paneer (spinach ) but I made do with the butter chicken and curry chicken they had out. The decor inside is clean and modern with Bollywood videos playing on tv - but the women's bathroom needs serious work . I'll be back again :)

I wish I could comment on the food quality. Unfortunately I ordered delivery, and was given a 20 minute delivery time, 35 minutes later I called to check on it. I was told the driver was 5 minutes away. 30 minutes later I called back, I was once again told 5 minutes. When I commented that I was told that 30 minutes prior and the lady on the phone said yes she knew and hung up. It's been another 10 minutes....I have no food yet.

Having an option like this in the middle of Montana was fantastic. Our dishes were cooked fantastically. The chai was above expectation, the glasses were bottomless, and the rice pudding was yummy. Wine list, and dessert were great, so glad we stopped!

Great Indian food for Billings. Garlic naan and lamb tikka masala. Taste appears authentic for this dish. I'm thinking that the variability in reviews may come from the naan being great when flavored, but when ordered plain- they may consider making it as a dry flatbread type. Only one waitress (they're running a bit lean for a new place that's only been open 1 month I think that's why they only have one waitress.). Nice decor / ambience. Fun to see Bollywood on the flat-screen. Clean restroom.

Flat bread was dried out . The buffet was good but a little over priced. Had to go up to the counter to fill my water.

A little better one than the other Indian place. Though they are owned by the same people. Try thai food instead. I can cook up a better curry than this place. Chicken biriyani, though not the original one, but still eatable. Vegitarian dishes tends to be a little better.Onion bhaji (Onion fritters) is soo bad with under cooked flour coating.. Fruit custard is nice.Desserts are nice overall.

Billings' second Indian restaurant is run by the same owners as A Taste of India downtown. The food is just as good but India Grill has combination dinners for one or two which gives you a chance to try several dishes. My friend and I had the vegetarian combo. Portions were generous and it was delicious!

Wasn't impressed. First off, the décor and set up is just like the old Godfather's restaurant that used to be there except they painted it colors that resemble Indian décor. The food on the lunch buffet was dried out and tasteless. Not great at all. It has potential, but so far, not loving it. I think they can do a lot better.

I was looking for Indian food, and they hit the spot. We enjoyed the butter chicken, curry, and of course hot naan bread. The hot chai was a wonderful surprise. Can't say I'm a conniseur, but we enjoyed it.

Great Indian food! We will definitely come back again for dinner! The service was excellent and the prices were appropriate. Naan is well worth it as well!

Thank you baby Jesus!!! Anyone who reads my reviews knows I'm obsessed with Indian food, and lately, it hasn't been easy to find during my travels.. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon this gem! I waited, people. Me- WAITED?! Well- When I got here at 3 PM, there was a sign that said they wouldn't open until 4:30, so I went up the road, got my nails done, called & was told they wouldn't be open until 5. At this point, I'm hangry, and it's a small miracle I didn't start kicking and screaming like a toddler. Well folks, Lemme tell you- it was WORTH the wait! The chicken masala was spot on, as well as the veggie korma. The lamb curry has a bit of a weird perfume to it at first bite- Dont worry, mid chew you'll forget all about it as you melt into your seat. Oh, & The garlic naan is PERFECT! Indian Food lovers- Your welcome!

We have driven past The India Grill too many times, always thinking we should stop and try it, always wondering if it could possibly be as good as The Maharaja in Milwaukee. Tonight we planned to stop, and we were not disappointed! Our hostess (Indian) was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and treated us very warmly. We weren't quite the only guests, which was surprising, but we came later than the usual crowd, I suppose. The naan was delicious! Our entrees were all delicious! The price did not seem out of line for the quality of our meal. The restaurant has a very nice ambience with minimal decor. No elephants. That is the sign of a good Indian restaurant, according to our Indian friends on the East Coast. The glassware and dishes were sparkling. The rich aromas of spicy cuisine embraced us. It was easy to feel at home. In fact, The India Grill is our new "home" in Billings. We'll come back again and again.

We had the butter chicken and the chicken korma. Both were great! Tender pieces of meat, and the sauce was awesome! We tried two different naans and they were great as well. We'll be back for sure.
