First of all 80% of the time my food is good. What they lack is professionalism, competitive pricing, quality service and consistency. I don't live far from this location, so I frequent this place when I crave fried chicken tenders, catfish or shrimp. I've only gotten over cooked chicken once, all other times my food (entree) has been good. I will say the coleslaw however is hit or miss. Sometimes it's fresh and sometimes I'm scared to eat it, so I stopped ordering it. I will say their portion sizes are completely off however I think it's this location. Today I got the combo with chicken and shrimp which is $8.99. I got 2 pieces of chicken strips and 2 pieces of shrimp. I also asked for Mac and cheese instead of fries and greens instead of coleslaw. I got fries and man and cheese. It was t the first time my order has been wrong here. I went to the Penns in Madison and I ordered the same thing once and got 5 pieces of chicken and shrimp. Clearly there is no consistency. I also go to the Penns in Florence and they always sub my fries with fried pickles. This Penns will not do that., so it's a little disappointing. I hate the handwritten signs everywhere like I'm a cold that needs to be told by management to turn my wipers off and how much sauce comes with my meal. I would hope a professional business would have access to a printer and give their customers enough credit and trust without telling them all directives are from management. And what's with signing the credit card slip with every order? Even a few dollars? Is that necessary at a drive through window? Speaking of drive through. Don't stop here if you're in a hurry. The food may be good and fresh but you will wait for it. If there's a line of cars at drive-thru, expect 30 minutes at least. Lastly they aren't the friendliest bunch. They aren't rude either, but I guess I just expect a little more down home southern charm from a down home southern place. When I've mentioned mess ups on my order they usually pass me off like "it's right this time" and don't care much for past mistakes. This is why when I don't mind the drive, I'll head to chick-fil-a or Cane's for my chicken fix because they have better service and definitely better accuracy.

This is my second and last review of this place. I never, ever write bad reviews unless, well they are bad.Even though the outside menu says... "Comes with side" you don't get a choice its just automatically fries. Or at least that's what I was told. The website also says that what I ordered, a oyster poboy, you get a side of your choice... But whatever. I won't be back! Management needs to revamp this location! Irritated!

Penn's. Good food, but missing some other key elements. 1) I have never gotten anything bad at Penn's, however sometimes I don't get what I ordered. 2) They are slow. If you are thinking of eating at the Penn's on Lake Harbour and see more than 2 cars in the drive-thru, you may want to rethink it. On more than one occassion, I have seen someone drive off because the wait was ridiculous. 3) Their friendliness is hit or miss as well. Sometimes you get someone over the top nice, other times you get the surley, barely speak to you kind. If you do go - I definitely recommend the chicken plate, chicken on a stick plate or the fried catfish plate. And they have Comeback sauce - but it is a little over-powering on the spice to me.

Small portions and very average. Go to Captain D's. I went on a Friday night at 7 and very few customers. I should have known. .
