Absolutely Terrible! Kevin our waiter was very slow and inconsiderate. The orange peel beef was way too salty. Hostesses just stand around playing on their phones. I won't be back

Horrible experience. The appetizer was cold, my napkin was very dirty, the seats are dirty, it's not even busy in here. My chicken satay was disgusting. It tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The sushi was fishy. The waiter was really nice but this place has really gone downhill. we are never coming back.

Excellent service and food was great. Staff in the bar was attentive and friendly, manager stopped by to ask how the food was and thanked me for stopping in

One would assume since this is PF Changs that the food taste and quality would be beyond question. We were wrong. I should have checked Yelp. The food was ok. Did you read that. Just OK. I've had the same items at Panda Express and it was so much better. I'm disappointed in this restaurant and that I spent money here. Lesson learned. Moving on.

I was very surprised on the low 2.5 star rating. My experience was nothing short of a 5 Star rating. Our waiter was Bryan, and he was excellent. He was very professional, courteous and knowledgable. The restaurant was very clean and the food was outstanding. We will certainly come back to this location.

The Shaking Beef yesterday was served RAW! I alerted our very attentive waiter who in turn alerted the manager. The manager showed no concern, courtesy or customer service. He took the dish away and took it off our bill. No apology, no attempt to make the situation better. I left hungry, and am sick today. The WORST PF Changs!

The Buddha's feast was mediocre. Vegetables were fresh but the asparagus was tough because the ends weren't cut off. Honey crispy chicken wasn't too crispy and somewhat greasy and way too garlicky. White rice wasn't cooked well and was tough in the middle. We had the exact dishes at the PF Chang in Huntsville, AL and they were delicious. Very disappointed indeed.

We were seated at a table that was unclean - many empty tables. Hostess was arrogant. Told us our waiter would clean table. First clue we should have left! Meal included dry chicken - clearly left from lunch. Waiter refused to refill water glasses. No fortune cookies with bill - everyone around us had the cookies. We did not complain - just agreed to spread the word about how horrible the food & service was at this location. Sad!

  • Anna W.

My meal was great and the service was absolutely wonderful. The chef came out to apologize for my meat taking a while to cook (it didn't take long at ALL) and offered us free appetizer and desert. He was so so nice. Nothing disappointed.

The duck dinner was amazing! Great service too.

Everybody loves PF Changs. What's not to love? The food is usually good - fairly fast - and the same wherever you go. So you have that 'food security' thing going. I have been to PF Changs literally all over the world - Yes - literally. That's why this is a crazy review to write. This location is the absolutely WORST PF Changs I have ever stepped foot in. It starts with a poor hostess... She wanted to sit us in-between a table of kids. Young kids... When we declined, she acted like we should leave rather than be reseated. Our mistake was not leaving. When we were finally seated, 12 minutes.. 12.. before a server came by (yes, I timed it) to even great us, take drink orders, etc. Obviously, we were 'noted' as a problem. Next, the food came out in stages - 3 of us - 3 separate dinners - more than 15 minutes from first to last. Then no server for any reason. I did complain to the manager, who did not even realize Changs was a Chain restaurant. Save your time - miss this one.

This was my first time to dine here. I ordered Egg Drop Soup (not edible) and then the Lobster Fried Rice. The entree was ok and that is being nice. Service was great. The food was just terrible. I'll never eat here again!

  • Richard P.

Downhill fast. If they don't improve soon, bye bye PF Chang's. I've ordered wine that they said they were out of, that I was literally able to see while sitting there. Apps shouldn't come out AFTER the main courses.

  • Kevin A.

This place has gone down hill fast. With all the competition in the area they won't stay in business long. Our party of 6 had 2 entrees come out over cooked. It took 45 minutes to get our food and it wasn't crowded. Very disappointing.

  • Phil T.

Ate lunch here the other day. Couldn't figure out why it was empty when I walked in the place. Then I ate. Now I know why it was empty. The fried wantons were pretty good. The vegetable stir fried rice was not. It tasted bland. The texture was all wrong. It was not a good dish. This place better get its act together or it will be OOB soon.

When I did a yelp search for a restaurant near our hotel I was discouraged by such poor reviews of this location. We decided to try it anyway because the ones in Dallas and San Diego are excellent. We were not disappointed! Maybe they have new staff because I have only good things to say about this place. First of all, the employees were very friendly and helpful. We decided to do Take Out. I wasn't sure how the food would be because every time we've eaten at a PF Changs we dine in. We were pleasantly surprised. The food came out in a timely manner. The lettuce wrap ingredients were neatly packaged to make assembly easy. The Almond Chicken was light and fresh. The Chicken Fried Rice was delicious! I'm glad the serving portions were large because my husband and I were practically shoveling it in our mouths! It was that good. The entire meal was just as good as what we expect from PF Changs. We will definitely eat there on the way back from our trip. By the way, we ordered right at the peak of the dinner crowds and they pulled it off perfectly.

I've had more problems than I can count at this restaurant. Terrible service, inconsistent cooking, common ingredients missing from dishes. I eat at the PF Changs in Baton Rouge almost every time I am there. This Ridgeland location may be the worst PF Changs in the country. I've had food be great one night and just inedible the next time. I'll never spend another dollar in this location. I was so happy when they opened because I live very close. After over a dozen attempts to give them the benefit of the doubt I came to the conclusion that management and the kitchen just don't care at this location. Frankly I'm surprised it's still open. If you want to charge $17 for General Chang's Chicken it should be spicy and it should consistently taste good.

Not sure what exactly the bad reviews are about but we have always gotten great food and service - unless they were just extremely busy and sometimes that is understandable. We arrived here as soon as they opened today so there wasn't many people in the restaurant. We received great service and the food we ordered was prepared perfect. The egg rolls are awesome - the shrimp with lobster sauce is amazing - the hot and sour soup is a must.

We ate here last night. Best service we have had since we got to MS! I ordered the Korean bbq chicken, which I thought was going to be Korean bbq chicken. Silly me! It was actually fried chicken and asparagus with buffalo sauce. Still good, but too spicy for me. I would like to try something else next time. We had a table of 6, so the table was really crowded with plates.

I visited this PF Changs on a Saturday night at 7:30pm Dec 8th. I was alone so I sat at the bar. It surprisingly was not as busy as most PF Changs. After a short wait I ordered the chicken soup and 2 egg rolls. I added a Blue Moon. The food was as usual pretty good. But the service was poor. I believe in the service industry the bartending and wait staff are a reflection of Management. I would recommend a review of the PF Chang Service Philosophy and training. I'd hate to see what a busy night would be like. Thumbs down!

I love it. It's the only Chinese food restaurant that I trust. The real ones serve you dog.

  • Sherry S.

I only give it one star because the servers were very nice. I ordered the heirloom salad and Chang's Kung pao chicken. The heirloom tomato salad consisted of mostly the hard core of the tomato. The part I typically discard. There were a few good bites. The KPC was over cooked and dry with no flavor. In addition, the restaurant was dirty. Greasy fingerprints and grease laden glassware, walls and even the candle holder. Disgusting. My feet slipped when existing the booth. No telling what was under there. This was my final dining experience at PF Changs having eaten at San Francisco, Texas locations and now Madison, MS. Too bad this chain has fallen so far.

I am gluten free so P F Changs gets 3 stars for having good GF food. I live close so I call in orders often. I called in an order last week. I wasted 30 minutes waiting, went to pick it up and they had no record of the order. I even showed her my phone where the call wAs logged. Although she did apologize, they should have offered something as a consolation prize. I won't be back for a whole.

The service was very nice. I sat in the bar and the bar- tender was very nice. Prompt order and service. The spicy wonton was nice and fried rice seem to be fine as well, can't complaint . will recommend for next visit. I saw really bad reviews for the place but I did not experience anything bad they might be becoming better .

This P.F. Chang's is hit or miss. You'll go and you'll either have great service, or terrible service - great food, or just ok food. Can't figure out what it is about this location. However, when it's good, I highly recommend the spring rolls, lettuce wraps, mongolian beef, lemon chicken, fried rice and their lo mein.

Came in at 2 pm on a Friday. Was not acknowledged for about 5 minutes. Finally got a seat and then was ignored for another 5 minutes before we were offered drinks. After getting our drinks the waiter walked away without taking our order. After another 5 minutes (I think he had a stop watch or something) we have our order taken very bluntly. Food took a long time to come out and it was horrible. We were never checked on again until the bill was brought. I dont think we will be coming back. I can make better food at home!!!

  • Loden S.

"Changs" I feel is a little too spotty for a large chain. If It's crowded, go ahead and set the bar a little lower than expectations. Other than that, when P. F. Changs puts time and quality in their work, the changs spicy chicken is second to none. And for a party of two - $40 will do it to fill you up with a four course meal and have enough to take some home. Wish I could give this place five stars but It's just way too inconsistent. Great for lunch, good for dinner.

I find the previous reviews quite funny as I ate here within the first MONTH of the restaurant opening. At that time I found the portions and service to be a joke. i later called the Mgr and told him that when I eat the exact same menu items at the PF Changs in Atlanta, I'm so stuffed I have to have a to go box. When I went to the PF Changs in Ridgeland, and ordered the exact same items I ordered in Atlanta, I actually left the restaurant HUNGRY!!??!! Make sense? The service, even with the fact they just opened, WAS TERRIBLE!!! Looks like nothings changed!!!

Had a great lunch. Started with lettuce wraps (delicious) then hot n sour soup (just ok). Our server Daniel was helpful with the menu and knowledgeable. If you're into hot tea, try the tropical green. Singapore street noodles is my fave dish, followed by the The Great Wall of Chocolate. Overall this visit was above average with excellent service and very good food. Ask for Daniel he was the best we've had.

    (5)
  • Nicole B.

Daniel our server was excellent. All the food came out as ordered and he made great recommendations. If your looking for a great atmosphere and decent food but great service. This is a wonderful place to go. Lettuce wraps and the wall of chocolate are must haves!!!

Its o.k. - did not really wow me. Its just fanchise americanized asian fusion cuisine. Its not nasty, but its nothing exceptional or makes it stand out from any other chinese restaurant.

I read some of the review here but decided to stop by anyway. Sat at the bar and was greeted by friendly enough staff. Had the Won-Tons which were maybe partially cooked but seemed kind of honestly slimy. Moved on to the Mongolian beef which was served as a plate with a side of rice. Unfortunately for me me I mixed some of the Rice and Beef together and took a bite. That was when I realized that the Rice was as cold as ice. Ruined half my meat. When I complained, I was just brought a new bowl of Rice which they obviously put in the Microwave to make sure it was hot, because it was not evenly cooked. Oh well, they didn't offer me anything for the wasted food and I wont be back.

  • Kenneth S.

Worst experience EVER!! The entire meal was off, the crab wontons were over cooked, the twice cook Szechuan beef was unseasoned. The manager tried to roll 18 percent gratuity using a 4 month old baby that was even served. If this was your first visit to PF Changs you wouldn't go back to any one of them! Kenny W.

  • L T.

Ugh, why did I forget how lackluster my last visit was? It's a shame, 'cause usually P.F. Chang is great, but this particular one is just a dud. I had the seared ahi salad, which I usually enjoy, but it was salty almost to the point of being inedible. I told the waiter, and he said, "Oh, it's supposed to be salty." Ok, bud. It's your tip funeral.

  • George M.

I've been to probably 7 or 8 P.F. Chang's restaurants across the country and, based upon my 3-4 visits here over the past year+, I'm sorry to say that this is the clear worst among them. I will not be returning. With one exception, the staff have been listless and seemed little interested in serving us. The seats, tables, and floors have often been dirty, having not been cleaned well. But most of all, the food itself is often poorly prepared. The Kung Pao Chicken, in particular, doesn't taste like it does at the other PFC/Pei Wei restaurants. It seems like the cooks cut corners, since the chicken has multiple times been under-spiced or tough/strangely textured; it's almost as if they used a microwave to cook it. When this place is busy, you can forget about getting your (usually) sub-par food in any sort of timely manner. If you're thinking of eating here, you might as well drive the extra 2-3 hours to Baton Rouge and eat at their MUCH better PFC restaurant. It really is that much of a difference. For as nice an area in which this restaurant is located (Ridgeland), it is sadly not at all up to the usual PFC standard. The management here needs to do some house cleaning, methinks.

I live in this town, so I want everything to be good. PF Chang's in Ridgeland could be so much better. The decor and the bar and all that are done right but the service and the cleanliness of the place need to be stepped up. That just means they have management that doesn't really care. There was a mess on the floor under my stool at the bar last night. We both got the bottoms of ours shoes sticky. The bathroom was filthy and smelled bad. Come on people, you're in the service industry. plus you're a chain. Your don't even know you're getting these pitiful reviews on yelpl

We love PF Changs and when near one usually eat there. However, beware of this PF Changs. The worst I have ever been too. Food took 45 minutes and soup still took longer. The lunch special didn't come with every thing listed on the menu. We had to ask 2 different people to get our server to pay. We asked for the manager who really had a don't care attitude. I would had thought they would remove the lunch special since it didn't come complete. Or at least be nice about the situation. I am in Jackson a lot on business and will NEVER go back ever again. Beware of this location.

I drove from Decatur, MS to eat at PF Chang's. PF Chang's is by far one of my all time favorite restaurants to visit. I love the atmosphere and the food. It is one of the very few restaurants that our family enjoys. That being stated. Our server was so kind and very polite. I thought this was going to be great. When the food arrived, I was beyond disappointed. The crab wontons were small and soggy. The beef in the beef lo mien was overcooked and chewy. The shrimp was not fully covered in batter and soggy in the Honey Shrimp. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was overcooked and chewy. I will never visit again.

  • Joe H.

What can I say, I like this place a lot. It has a taste all unto its own, not the same ole taste you get at most Chinese restaurants.

    (5)
  • Annica J.

The food was ok (our shrimp was overcooked and dried out) but the wait staff is terrible and not just on one occasion. I have never left a restaurant without tipping until our last visit here.

  • Cynara S.

I felt pretty good when I walked into PF Chang's (during off-peak hours) and found a beautifully decorated yet almost empty restaurant. That smile got turned upside down pretty quickly when the host asked me for my name for the waiting list. WT HECK! My friend and I were rescued by Micheal, an awesome waiter/bartender who took over and showed us to a seat in his section. The service from there on was perfection. Don't businesses know how important a first impression is....spend a little time training Hosts and Hostesses...PLEASE....it does make a difference. The food was great...the egg drop soup is out of this world. Really enjoyed our meal. Will go back again. Will update you fellow Yelpers! The jury is still out.

The last time I ate there, which will be the last time, was several years ago. The food had a burned taste to it, the brutha-waiter tried to be "cool" when he was more stupid than anything else, and the biggest thing was that I arrived quite a bit of time before the lunch cutoff, but was charged the dinner prices. When I said I was here and ordered before the cutoff, the waiter said it was really based on when he brought the check to the table. I paid it and made it very clear that I would never return to this or any other PF Chang's. In reality their version of Chinese food is a joke anyway.

Worst restaurant out PF Chang's chain ever. Staff are clueless, food is horrible, service terrible. Went there several times, thinking giving then more chances, but no. Find yourself another restaurant.

Awesome..... As good as it gets.... Great food great service!!!

  • Paul K.

PF Chang's is not what you might think of when 'Chinese food' comes to mind. There are no pre-prepared sauces from a distributor, no canned carrot or pea pieces added to your food, no packets of duck sauce and mustard, no lunch combos with egg roll. These restaurants prepare fresh and very tasty food. My car has a hard time driving PF Chang's without stopping. I love this place. Whether you're looking for a tasty meal, open atmosphere, great service, or reasonable prices, P.F. Chang's China Bistro delivers. Enjoy!

  • Julian V.

P.F. Chang's is uninventive Americanized Chinese Food. Is it good? Well yeah sort of. It's not great. Is it pricy? Well, it's pricier than other chinese places. These are all things you should already know. So why am I writing a review? Well because our waiter (whose name escapes me) was phenomenal. The hostess was pretty rude, but this guy, whoever he was, long hair... super super super nice. Are you gonna get this guy as a waiter? Possibly, probably not. If not for him, this place would be two stars. EDIT: I've been informed that this guy's name is Trae.

  • Eric B.

Usually very good. This time the Mongolian Beef was very over cooked, the waitress asked if she could keep the change (strange) Will go back, just hope it's more the norm.

  • K P.

Lunch today (5/11/2012 12:30) was adequate. Spring rolls were uncut and just put on a plate, no presentation at all. I ordered the ginger chicken and broccoli, which was fine, but had little flavor. Weak hot tea was over $3, major over charge. Other than that the whole experience was okay, just not memorable and overpriced.

    (2)
  • Jerry E.

Good, but food quality seems to be dropping a little.

    (3)
  • Herman S.

I like how PF Chang's encourages you to "pass the plate family style" and share with the others at your table. So you can get a bit of several of the nicer dishes like the Kung Pao Chicken, Lemon Pepper Shrimp, Beef a la Sichuan, Singapore Street Noodles and Crispy Honey Shrimp. PF Chang's may not be the best chinese your ever going to have, but the service is very good and a good vibe at the place and quite decent food. "Chang's for Two" is a little price break that gives you an 1 appetizer, 2 soups, 2 entrees & 2 mini desserts for $40. If you sign up for the email list you get an email every few months, a 10% off discount card to present at every meal, and a few appetizer on your birthday, sort of thing. If you're a regular get the $50 gift card at Christmas time & get $5 back thing, for another little discount.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
