I went in there tonight around 6:30. No one greeted me and I had to ask for a sample. The toppings were nearly empty and just a mess. There was also no clean table to sit at. Terrible, terrible service. How hard is it to wipe off a table? That's what you are paid to do!! The workers looked sloppy and weren't very friendly.

I loved this place. It's the perfect place for a visitor like me to stop on a Sunday afternoon. I just wanted a quick treat and a little bit of site seeing and that's what I got. The square reminds me of the square in Sonoma, California but a lot less busy. Ya Ya's reminds me of Sweet Frog with some different toppings and no peanut butter yogurt. You win some you lose some. The toppings were plentiful and included 4 or 5 different cereals, my favorites - Oreos and Resse's Peanut Butter Cups, gummy worms, gummy bears, fruits, marshmallows, a maple syrup and walnut mixture, and much more. They don't offer different sizes in the bowls but they do offer one plain and one with a waffle cone already inside! Getting a bowl-shaped waffle cone already in the cup costs $1 extra and it was so yummy to eat after it had been drenched in yogurt and goo! I tried a cake batter flavor, sea salt and caramel (I think) and butter pecan. I chose the salt and caramel flavored yogurt as my favorite. The cost is equal to other places I've been, 45 cents per ounce. Choose your frozen yogurt, top with everything you can imagine, and enjoy!

This shop is located on the corner of the town square so you cn eat your yogurt and enjoy watching the activities outside. The place is clean and there are lots of topings for your yogurt. It is a nice place to meet and enjoy the day. I count this as a happy place!

Excellent frozen yogurt. I've been craving a good yogurt place since moving to Oxford, and YaYa's delivers. They have a good variety of yogurt flavors, and a fairly good topping selection. I'm sure I'll visit frequently this summer. I've only had the original, chocolate and blueberry so far, but they were all pretty good. If you're not used to the tartness of some frozen yogurts, I'd recommend the chocolate--it tastes amazing. Both the original and blueberry are much more sour, and it's a bit of an acquired taste (though I'd recommend either of them, too, especially mixed with lots of fruit and some Fruity Pebbles). Why did it get 4 stars instead of 5? - I'd like to see a broader topping selection. The toppings available are mostly fairly generic--I prefer experimenting a bit with my frozen yogurt. I think what they have is a good start, and I'm hoping it will expand as people put in requests. - A little pricey compared to similar frozen yogurt shops I've visited in other cities. But that's an advantage of being the only game in town...I'll need to cut back compared to what I would normally get. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I had the choice--still room for improvement, but definitely good! =)

This is a fun little self-serve yogurt place on the north side of the Oxford town square. You are charged by the ounce, so you can choose as much or as little of any yogurt or topping as you want. It features a variety of soft-serve frozen yogurt flavors. You can get a regular cup or a waffle cup. I decided to go with a Mango in the Moon smoothie--pineapple, mango and strawberry. It really hit the spot on a hot Mississippi afternoon. The atmosphere and decor is very "cute," and appears aimed at young people. When I was there it was filled with young girls and Ole Miss co-eds. It is a very bright and fun place, much like a candy store or malt shop from the old days. Definitely worth a visit.

Not the best fro yo place I've been to, but the strawberry flavor was pretty good and there was a large variety of toppings. The fruit looked like it had been sitting out awhile and some of the toppings seemed a little stale. However, there were so many sauce and syrup options.

@ Christian. You have waaaaay to much time on your hands to write an over kill, jaw flapping, mindless review on silly yogurt. Christian, where is your yogurt store so I may visit and review? Or let me know the location of your entrepreneurial store you o

"The best looking, self-serve TCBY you'll ever visit until it goes out of business and is replaced by something else." Inside a truly premium Oxford location, this high-ceiling, high-style, self-serve, soft-serve yogurt store is of no particular interest, and probably temporary, for a few reasons. The first and most damning concern is what's for sale. The only thing on the menu at Ya Ya's is soft-serve frozen yogurt and it's completely unremarkable. You're going to get muted "flavors" (are you telling me that is actual, pureed pink guava?) paired with underwhelming mouthfeel and served in that familiar yet bizarre, mechanically-dispensed soft-serve poop shape. All the samples we tried were further injured from what appeared to be a build up of ice in the mix. If you're only going to sell one thing, make that one thing the best I've ever had. That the yogurt is no better than what could be ordered at the nearest mall is inexcusable -- it's the only thing you sell! Ya Ya's is also entirely self-serve. Yogurt is squirted into disposable bowls from a bank of flavor-labeled soft-serve machines, optionally dressed from a sneeze-guarded toppings bar, with the final assembled dessert placed on the scale in front of the registers for weighing. All of this will be done by you. My guests were happy to assemble and ferry everything themselves, as this affords finicky portion control and less reliance on employees, but it had an awkward, gimmicky, cafeteria feel to me that required an unnecessary amount of instruction to complete. Sampling any one of the 8 or so flavors requires staff to round trip behind the counter for tiny, disposable cups instead of just having them where the sampling takes place (incidentally, we were encouraged against sampling the "original" flavor). The absence of recycling and/or an optional reusable containers may be an oversight, but it's still irresponsible. Finally, the yogurt shop's decor is simply too much. Inside Ya Ya's is an austere collection of Kartell ghost chairs, mod white pendant lights, backlit countertops in the style of alabaster, and a tall, street-facing window bar, soldiered with backless, polished chrome stools. Contrasted against the impressive front door -- warm, detailed and with character -- the interior space seems cold, soulless and antiseptic. The choice of pieces and surfaces are an odd match for the use of this space and are more aptly suited for a boutique cosmetics or handbag shop. An Italian espresso bar? Sure. But the mediocre yogurt on offer here only serves to underscore how overdone the interior actually is. Ironically, employees work in markedly low-key uniforms of shorts and t-shirts. Clearly much thinking (and much money) has gone into Ya Ya's, which makes the experience all the more disappointing. I remain unconvinced that frozen yogurt can ever be truly memorable and think Oxford would have benefitted more from a locally sourced and crafted gelato or premium ice cream brand, complimented by sustainable methods of production and served in a comfortable, unassuming shop. Instead, what we've been given is mall food shtick on the Square against a backdrop of Philippe Starcke. Rather than making a point to return again, or continue moaning about what might have been, I'll probably just forget about Ya Ya's until I drive by one day to see it's been converted into a shoe store.

Complete dankness! Love all the different flavors, and all the good looking people who work there don't hurt! Easy healthy treat, but can be an indulgence if you want it to be! I'd eat Ya Ya's any day of the week!

Get this...asked for a sample cup and employee says she has to get sample FOR ME! Another-words I, as an adult woman with children old enough to go to Ole Miss, am "not allowed" to get my own sample of froyo. Ok, c-ya! This place doesn't deserve my business

Location: location is smart business-wise, but it makes parking a pain for the customers if you are coming here just for the froyo. Who wants to drive in circles 2-3 times just to get some ice cream for the kids? Froyo: limited favors. However. They now carry the "popping bubbles" topping (or jelly balls, depending on where you're from).. Which is great!! Love those things Price: a little higher than other places, but that's expected for a place on the square. Bonus: this is the only froyo place in town that makes smoothies (plus they use their own froyo)! Great! Now the munchkins can get froyo while I get a smoothie
