Perhaps the best meal I've every had! The new snack/ appetizer menu is on point! We had the lobster mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, and steak and bread. You will not be disappointed!

Rated 2 star due to service and attentiveness of hostess and waitress. Had reservations for two weeks and was told that I was forgotten about after I had waited an hour past my reservation time and was seated at the bar. If I wanted to eat at a bar I would have gone to a bar. Waitress was rude and did not care what so ever. Food was great but will not return due to service and lack of hospitality.

Best fried oysters I ever had!! Great atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The rack of lamb was PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned to awesomeness. Crab cakes are also very good - more crab than cake. Yummy! Oh, and the biscuits they bring out after you're seated are pretty far good, too!!

Absolutely wonderful! Eclectic setting and fine dining right on the square. Fabulous service and impeccable food. Ended up eating there Friday evening, Saturday evening and went back for brunch on Sunday morning. The filet was outstanding! Each meal was fabulous and I would highly recommend it to anyone,

Probably the best place to eat in Oxford. This is our 4th year coming down to Ole Miss and our first visit here. The service was excellent and the food met everyones expectations. From the steaks to soft shell crab or the rack of lamb, each was prepared to perfection. Cant wait to head back and have another meal.

Atmosphere was nice, staff was great. Food was okay. The shrimp and grits was a little too busy, shrimp wasn't seasoned but the large chunks of sausage was a little overpowering and the large slices of bell peppers was pretty but a bit much.

The food and service here are exceptional, for on-Oxford-Square dining. For my dinner, I had the scallops plate. They were perfect! Cooked perfectly, neither soggy nor rubbery. Since I'm from Boston and since I've had more than my fair share of seafood, I can say that this place knows how to serve scallops well. Besides the food (though that's the most important part), the service is quite good. The waiter checked in with us regularly and made sure we had an exceptional dining experience. The prices are a bit steep, but, if you're prepared to pay about $25-$40/person, then I wouldn't hesitate going to McEwen's Oxford.

We had a fabulous Sunday brunch during a busy game weekend. The chicken and waffles were divine, and the desserts were truly mind blowing: banana cream pie, cheesecake, and sweet potato creme brulee. The "Faulkner's Cure" cocktail is life changing. Apart from the great food, we were particularly impressed with the service. While we were there with a packed restaurant, the kitchen was having a waffle maker malfunction. The servers were incredibly gracious, and without us even raising a stink, the manager came out to personally apologize and more than made the situation right. Fabulous staff!!

We had dinner last night at McEwen's and it was delicious. I started with a great drink called "daddy's little princess" and then had some of the best fried catfish I've ever had. The catfish came served over cheese grits with a yummy crawfish and Tasso ham sauce over it. Must try it!!

AMAZING!! The past two times we've visited Oxford we have eaten here and have yet to be disappointed. Fresh ingredients, great service, the ambiance is great. I would recommend making a reservation. Food is a bit pricy but we'll worth it! Ask for the biscuits (served as a substitute for bread) you'll want a dozen they are so good, best I've ever had!!!

One of the most rushed meals ever! Food was excellent, but felt like it was a race for us to finish meal and leave. Also, we were charged for every extra such as a requested strawberry with chocolate dessert for birthday.

This was our first time to dine here and it was very good. I had the filet. It was cooked to perfection. I also had the dessert taster which had three different desserts and they were all wonderful. I hope to eat here again soon. Our waitress was great. She was friendly and knowledgable. The service was fast. Overall, a great experience.

We were in town for a wedding and made a reservation, since City Grocery and Snackbar were already booked; however, we were told that our table was not ready upon arrival. My wife and I are understanding, so we just went to the bar to get a drink while we waited.... This is when our experience went south. After politely waiting several minutes at the bar and then having to ask if we could please get a drink, the frat guy "bartender" told me it would be a while. We eventually were seated over 30 minutes after our reservation. After ten minutes, our waitress finally arrived and took our drink and appetizer order. When it was served, neither of us had silverware. When we asked, they brought us ONE set, and we had to request another set for both of us. The food and drinks were decent. We are both from Nashville and maybe our expectations were too high, but we were extremely disappointed in our experience.

Food and service quality have been excellent both times I've been here. The duck enchiladas are truly delicious. Cocktails are $12 each and while good, aren't good enough to command that price.

Had the Chilean sea bass which was excellent. Service was great and the owner went out of his way to accommodate. I would like to eat here ever time I go to Oxford.

We have eaten our way through Oxford this weekend starting Friday for lunch. We have been to most of the local favorites, Boure, Bottletree Bakery, The City Grocery, and The South Depot Taco Shop. They were all good in their own right, but McEwens was our hands down, lights out favorite! Great crafted cocktails, (McEwens's Mojito, Faulkner's Cure). Ambiance. Check! Can hold a conversation in a full dining room. Check! Small Plates! Wow! (We had the crab cake and the scallops). For dinner the sea bass over risotto with lobster was amazing! The wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Do not get out of Oxford without making a visit to McEwen's! Oh yeah we are eating a lemon and vanilla creme brûlée as I write this. A perfect ending!

I love this place!! Came here for an anniversary dinner, and I definitely enjoyed it! Service was very friendly and attentive, food was delicious, cocktails were yummy, and decor/ambiance was nice. Only problem was that my boyfriend got food spilled on his brand new pants... But it was an accident when another waitress ran into our food server, no big deal. Definitely a must-try in oxford!

One of the best meals that I have had in Oxford for a long time. The Sea Bass was flavorful and had the perfect texture. My better half's filet with crab topping was very good. Crab cakes were a great start. Only thing a little off was the duck gumbo was really too thin. Should be called a soup. It tasted fine.

I was looking for a very nice restaurant to bring customers to and it looked like this might be one of the best in town. Considering the price (high), food quality (v.good) and service (problematic) I've rated this a 3 star. Although the restaurant is far inland, I decided to have fish. The Memphis airport is not far way so that transportation of seafood here should not be a problem. The salmon was fresh however over cooked. It was served with a medley of vegetables. The presentation was average. It was a significant enough portion that I felt satisfied without an appetizer. The atmosphere was pleasant although not cosy. It was a bit loud in there so having a conversation was limited to the people immediately adjacent to you. One issue we had was that our table was a long table for 8 and the waiter concentrated on just one end of the table. I suspect he did that because he expected that the charismatic older man at the end of the table was paying the bill (which he wasn't). That left the other end of the table short of service which left one woman at the other end of the table very annoyed. This is something you don't want when bringing a variety of customers out to dinner. We had to specifically ask the waiter to ask the other end of the table if they would also like wine and drinks/water. When we asked him to also tell the other end of the table about the dessert selections, he just brought them the dessert card and did not describe the desserts. At the end of the meal he brought the check to the charismatic older man and only when I said that I would take the check did he remember the tea that I ordered that he did not serve.
