of all the 'chicken fingers & fries' establishments strewn across the south - raising cane's, zaxby's, guthrie's, etc. - abner's is definitely the best of them all. the chicken is consistently juicy and perfectly fried, and their sauce, while similar to all the other places, definitely stands out as supreme. you can get the chicken grilled, which is equally delicious, and if you're really wanting to change it up, try the cool ranch wrap. very good stuff. obviously it's not the most inventive or rave-worthy meal you're gonna find in oxford, so if you're only in town for a game weekend, it's far from a 'must have' (though a 50 piece abner's tray in the grove is always welcomed).. but if you're hungry for some chicken fingers, it doesn't get any better than this.

Fried chicken tenders were delicious. Sweet tea mixed with unsweetened tea to wash it down. Drive right past KFC and head to Abner's.

When it comes to chicken tenders you will find no better than Abner's. Unlike most places they have both grilled and fried. You also get a choice of sauce unlike stupid Raising Cane's one sauce that I hate (they have a sauce at Abner's very similar but I like BBQ or Honey Mustard). You get a lot of choices in how you want your chicken tenders from salads, sandwiches, wraps, and tenders only. They also have some decent sides and fries but those are very secondary to the chicken. This place usually isn't high on my list of places to eat in Oxford but if I'm going to eat chicken tenders I much prefer them from Abner's than anywhere else.

Every time I'm in town I eat here! Last time I was in Oxford, MS I ate there 3 times in 2 days. It's just that good. Grilled chicken tenders (w/ their amazing secret dipping sauce), fries and sweet tea.

Abner's is the pinnacle of the Ole Miss student experience. This former service station at the "four corners" was converted long ago into a casual restaurant that serves up the best fried chicken tenders you've ever had. You may scoff at this statement until you tried them, and then you understand. My college boyfriend worked in the kitchen and was sworn to secrecy about the frying technique and the special Abner's sauce. SEC memorabilia decorates the wall, and ESPN is usually on the TVs. No liquor license here, but the iced tea is so sweet and magical you just don't care. This is definitely not a fancy experience. But after a long day cheering on the Rebels, surviving tough classes, or reliving fond memories, there's no better place to stop and have a quick bite than Abner's.

We were visiting for game day from Texas. We had a big group and ate lunch there before game. We asked the girl at counter if we could leave our car parked there during game. She said that while they say they tow they never do and car would be fine. I said, "Are you sure?" she said let me double check and proceeded to ask manager on duty. Yep, car will be fine. Well...came back after game to NO car. Had been towed. New working shift didn't give a crap. $125.00 later got my car. We even gave them a stupid tip for saying we could leave car there. It was just a chicken nugget not that good!!!!
