this place is such a pleasant surprise... the food, service & overall experience is excellent! the owner is so friendly & sweet. I was in town on a walgreens conversion training program, & the owner even came out & had a little chat with my staff & I... love everything on the menu... the sweet tea, the caramel cake, the Santa Fe chicken sandwich.... had an awesome time ... thank you Market Cafe

Have eaten at the Market Cafe several times for dinner. Steaks are okay not exceptional. The staff is friendly and attentive. The appetizers are some of the best, I love the fried pimento and cheese balls and the fried green tomatoes are good too. They have one of the better salad bars around this town. You can order beer but if you want wine etc bring your own bottle and the staff will provide your glass. Friends ordered the special for fish and found it liking in taste, it was red snapper and both agreed it did not taste like red snapper. So as I see for dinner ask lots of questions on the main course, so far the chicken dishes are good that I have ordered. But the steak and fish need help.

Love that they restored an old store building! Cleanest restaurant I have ever seen! All the staff was very nice. I think they must have lost our order because people that came in quite awhile after us got their food when we did. We had cheeseburgers and French fries, nothing that should have taken 45 minutes to prepare. The FFs were very good. The meat of the cheeseburger had a little wang I didn't like, but it was an okay burger. I don't know what kind of bun it was on, it was a little odd too. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food and it all looked good. I think they may have just had an off day on my food.

Had the hamburger with onion strings. Quite tasty and service was good though stretched in the days following the tornado. Nice, though somewhat cavernous setting.
