My favorite restaurant in Laurel. If this restaurant was located anywhere else I would only give it 4 stars, but since I find it the best joint in Laurel I gave it 5 stars. Every dish I've ordered has been delicious. My only complaint is that the chile Colorado was crazy spicy...but it did have the super spicy symbols next to it on the menu, so I really should've known better. They have great classic fajitas, but they also have unique options including fajitas served inside a fresh pineapple! They also have Molcajete! It's a stone lava bowl filled with chicken, beef, shrimp, peppers, and onions covered in a delicious sauce. Fun and delicious. Great flavors! Fresh food! Great friendly service!

Good food at a reasonable price. The open face roast beef poboy and the hamburger stake are good. Any plate lunch is worth trying.

Crispy fresh fried catfish in a perfect cornmeal batter! A lot of food for less than $10. Fried shrimp was okay, but fish was among the best I've ever had, and I am a snob when it comes to catfish. Walk up and order at this trailer to go and you won't be disappointed. There is even a small interior dining room.

This review is for the Hibachi food that I had last week with family members. Some of my party had never experienced a Hibachi meal so we came here on a last minute whim. This was our first time to attend this restaurant even though it has been here for a few years. We were seated with another small group and then gave our orders. I went with the shrimp and scallops. The drinks, soup and salad then showed up. About 10 minutes later the chef showed up and the fun began. I must say that I was surprised at how good our chef was. I never expected this level of quality in Laurel. He was entertaining and competent with his cooking ability. My seafood was very good and the meal was very filling. The rice and pasta helped with that. Prices are a little high for Laurel with my entree running $26 before drink, tax and tip. However it was good and fun. The newbies in my party said they liked the food and would come back. If you are looking for a quality Hibachi experience in Laurel I recommend coming here. The interior of the sushi part of the restaurant looked nice. I am sure all of their food is good.
Amazing food and attentive service. Hibachi was so yummy! Reasonably priced. We had chicken and steak hibachi, both equally good.
Really good fast and courteous. The most important thing was that the food was super delicious.

This place is the best all around option in laurel. If Matt or Amy are there ask what they recommend otherwise get the shrimp salad if looking for something on the lighter side. Something with a cream sauce if you are not.
After enjoying lunch at La Fleur Cafe twice in the past year, I'm confident in saying that this is probably the best food in Laurel. Great menu with many New Orleans favorites, like poor boys, red beans & rice, etc, in addition some excellent salads, soups, a pretty decent fish taco and the best red velvet cake you've ever encountered! The setting is casual and a bit rustic with professional, small-town friendly, service. Well worth a detour off I-59 if you happen to be passing through around lunch time. An earlier reviewer stated that they don't accept credit cards. I've used mine both times I've been there, including today, so not sure where they got their info.
Good food, nice people. Good dine-in experience BUT slow and marginally accurate take-out service. If you want to eat there, go when you have plenty of time and enjoy a leisurely and tasty meal there.

The Garden Roll is great, as is the udon noodle soup. The staff is friendly and helpful. Call-in orders are handled quickly and accurately. The sushi with tempura treatment is very nice. Not a fancy atmosphere, but clean and neat.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the restaurant part closes at 1:00 pm otherwise they have a good selection of fresh and frozen. Had them boil a pound of prawn's and they were delicious!

Raising Cane’s

That sauce tho! Consistently good chicken fingers. Prices are relatively high, but I feel like you get what you pay for. I always opt for no drink, which reduces the cost of every combo. I also like to replace slaw for an extra toast...yum! Great service, and SUPER clean kitchen!! I would go back.
Love me some raising canes, especially this one being that it's never really that crowded. Raising canes is always kind've pricey though, usually always spend $12 per meal, but there's no other place like it.
Not the Cane's I've Come to Appreciate: First off, when we walked in, we immediately noticed that no one was behind the counter - no problem here - except none of the other employees present greeted us or told us we'd be served soon. Instead, the woman working window looked at us numerous times while we stood there waiting - for five minutes - and said nothing. But, that's not eve the half of it, the two guys working in the kitchen looked right as us and also said nothing. I wouldn't mind not being greeted, but watching one of those guys eat while he was preparing food was just too much for me. Finally someone served us; that lady was very nice. She filled our order and we went on our way to get our drinks. After we filled our drinks, our food was put up in the window. However, it sat there for two before we got it. Finally, bad service would be redeemed with the finest chicken tenders to bless the fast food industry right? Not. We grabbed our food and found a seat. It was then that we noticed how nasty the inside of this place was - fries on the floor, dirty tables, etc. We sat down and realized just how bad this bad work ethic has tarnished one of the best chicken-tender-exclusive fast food joints. The food was just gross, fries were cold and tasted almost stale; tenders were WELL done, almost burnt; drinks were syrupy; and the Canes sauce was super salty. My wife and I agreed, this is the worst Canes we've ever had. I spent a lot of time in Baton Rouge when I was younger - I know what the Cane's image should be and this place is honestly a disgrace to it. I really hope this place gets straighten out so the people of Laurel can experience what Cane's is all about. "Did you say that the cooks were eating chicken tenders?! That's the food that they are preparing... DISGUSTING." - My wife
