The service is really good and the food is great. When you go you better be ready to eat. Only complaint I have about the place is that's it's really loud, as far as food it's great! Every time me and my family go we enjoy our visit and most times bring home some leftovers

This was my first time eating at this location which is on the middle of no where in Kiln, MS.!! I have eaten at the one in the lower ninth ward in New Orleans ever since I was a child some 30 years ago. I had high expectations before I arrived. The parking lot was big so no issues there, but I had just washed my truck and the the rock filled parking lot left a white residue all over my vehicle from other drivers! The restaurant seemed too "touristy" for me due to the souvenir shop located onsite. Our party had 5 people and they had to adjust the seating to accommodate us, any larger parties would be an issue, they would need to move tables together. The menu looks good with apps, seafood selections that are fried, broiled and served with with pasta and a short dessert menu. While ordering your food be aware that there are "sides" and "extras" and these cannot, and will not be substituted as explained to us by the waitress. Most restaurants will allow you to substitute with a small price increase. The food was Okay... but no thrills and certainly not better than the Nawlins restaurant. The waitress did not refill our drinks while we dined. The bill averaged $21 per person with only water or soft drinks, and no apps or dessert were ordered.

It seems they DO have different wine offerings by the glass! The first time I was there the waiter did not tell me that. The second time we went we ended up sitting in the bar. When I asked which red wines they had by the glass the bartender asked which red? Aha! The food was delicious and Mama was happy with a nice glass of Pinot Noir. Yes!

This place is great. Reasonable prices, very large portions, and good drinks. The service was very good too. I highly recommend it.

Best Seafood on the Gulf Coast, Steaks are great too! Things to try: Everything! with a bottled Barq's rootbeer! My personal favorites: 1. The Dempsey's platter for two is HUGE and of course, get the macaroni as a side. It's baked macaroni with a ton of cheese. 2. Seafood Pasta Bordelaise...shrimp and crawfish on a bed of pasta with bordelaise sauce...it's amazing! 3. Seafood Gumbo! Real New Orleans gumbo, with okra, tomatoes, shrimp, u name it. They also have a lunch menu with actual po-boy bread (not regular french bread) which is nice to see when so many restaurants get that part wrong. Dempsey's staff is very friendly, the food is fantastic, and the portions are HUGE! You'll get much more than your money's worth here.
