Today is National Donut Day, and I picked up donuts at the Ridgeland location. The lady behind the counter was the best! The donuts were amazing: Blueberry Cake Donuts, Buttermilk Donuts, Chocolate Sprinkle, Glazed.... Delicious!

Donuts are always delicious but they do not accept debit or credit cards only cash. Also depends on location and who's working on whether you get a friendly greeting. Unfortunately, not the friendliest people work at the Ridgeland location. There are a few nice ones but the ones the arent, aren't at all!

We went to Monroe's around 12 noon and ordered the glazed, cinnamon roll, twists and cake donut. I wished we came early in the morning when they were hot and fresh off the rack. But none the less, the donut was still good. Very dense and moist and the glaze was amazing. The price was also very reasonable.

Of all the donut shops I have frequented through the years, this one undoubtedly makes the TOP of my list. Their donuts and other pastries looked so tempting that I got an assortment of all the items they offer to take to an early family gathering. Everyone was delighted, of course, when I arrived with donuts but when they tasted these scrumptious sweets, they were raving. Will definitely be going back!

Yall.....I can not tell you enough how good these donuts and baked goods are. God gave Mr. Monroe a gift and he knows how to use it!!! *drools* First of all, this man wakes up at the break of dawn and bakes all his goods fresh for the day. The donuts, cinnamon rolls, and cinnamon twists (among all the others) will not only make you slap your mama but make you wake up in the middle of the night scratching for donuts like its crack. I live in GA but the only way people from MS (family and all) are allowed to enter my home is if they have at LEAST a half of dozen of Monroe's goods. If you are EVER in Jackson and have a taste for the best donuts in the world....Monroe's is the place. Dunkin and Krispy Kreme have NOTHING on this man's gift.
