I've only eaten here once. Unfortunately that will probably be it. I've frequented all the other sushi restaurants in town but not oishi. I had heard that it was not that great but I generally like to form my own opinion. It lived up to it's reputation of not that great. The sushi was of a lower quality or freshness than other places and the rice the rolls had been made from was soggy. Definitely not ideal if you are looking for a quality sushi experience.

For what it is, it's GREAT. Not a terrifically romantic atmosphere (Go to the Purple Parrot for that), but a great convivial environment for eating with friends. The Hibachi area is the place to be. All the chefs are great. They are personable and quite entertaining to watch as they try to fling shrimp into the mouths of eager of diners. And, of course, the sudden outbursts of flame are fun showstoppers. Unless, of course, you happen to be dining with a two-year-old who yells, "FIRE" and tries to throw her Sprite onto the grill. Hypothetically. The food is great. Don't be afraid to try to customize your order. They'll be happy to try to accomodate what you want. Their lunch entrees are a fabulous deal.

This is a good place. It was clean, the service was good and the sushi was good. I liked 2 of the 3 rolls I ordered, but there was nothing wrong with the 3rd. I just wasn't crazy about it. The soup was very good. This is a decent place to eat. It's not the best sushi I have ever had, but I will probably eat here again.

First time here for wife and i. Went for hibachi for lunch. The complimentary soup was the star of the show. Ive had better rice and salmon was slightly salty. Wife got chicken and shrimp. Chicken was kind of bland. Ordered a 5 dollar alchoholic drink which was named something along the lines of bang bang pow. Looked like about one shot; i could be crazy, but i think it gave me a really light buzz, lol.

Very nice, clean restaurant. The sushi was neatly prepared, under seasoned to be spicy. The Hot and Sour Soup was warm and flavorful. The wait staff were friendly and knowlwdgeable.

At first the place looked really nice. Then they took up to sit and the floor had a small puddle. Then we sit down and something is dripping on my back so I move over and something starts dripping on my lap. First of all the sushi was nothing even remotely good. Most if the rice was hard and uncooked.

Overall great experience. Waitress was very proficient in making sure we were satisfied. Crunchy roll was ok but soup made up for it. Def will be back!

My co-workers and I come here at least once a week for lunch hibachi. I always get the Salmon Hibachi, and it's a hit or miss sometimes. The fried rice is good and they give you so much more than you need. The sauteed veggies were ok, still slightly crunchy which is the way I like my veggies but the seasoning is never consistent. I've ordered their Dynamite roll, and it's pretty good. Not the best place I ever had, but does what it needs to satisfy a hibachi craving.
