The good first. Wonderful lemon drop martini. Good wine prices. We were a large group and the servers were patient and did their job well. I think they were fairly prompt considering how large the group was. Excellent entertainment in the bar. The people who ordered steaks seemed happy. Stay away from the seafood. Their chef does not know how to cook it. My friend ordered the tuna. The chef had obviously had to cut into it to check for done ness so the coating was inside. Someone who knows how to cook tuna wouldn't do that. I started with grilled oysters. The oysters were raw with butter and seasoning. The server said that " grilled means the put the hot butter and seasoning on them, not that the oysters are actually grilled. I live in Louisiana. That story didn't fly. My pan seared snapper was floating in butter. No light seared crust. My friends who ordered raw oysters were not given cocktails sauce, hot sauce, horseradish or crackers. (May have been due to the size of the group, so we can be forgiving on that). I would recommend getting a chef who specializes in seafood, or take it off the menu. It is just too expensive to have unhappy customers.

This place is well known for many years in Hattiesburg. It's decor is set in the good ole days of Hattiesburg and you are likely to see famous people that pass throu. Also, you could see Brett Favre eating there constantly. They have an amazing nacho appetizer and even better ribeye. I have never had a bad meal here. Go see Tiffany at the bar and get a good drink. Make sure you speak to Brock Barlow (the manager). You will not leave hungry or disappointed. One of my top 10 favorite restaurants.

Would not know how the food was as no one ever came to the front to seat us. Stood there for 15 minutes and two people saw us standing there and never even acknowledged us. So if I could give this place 0 stars I would. Service sucked!

Two months ago while visiting family in the area, I purchased a $20 certificate for $10 and wasn't very satisfied with the food. I left a review and was contacted by Brock the manager apologizing for the experience I had and asked that I give them another chance. I contacted Brock earlier today and asked if today was a good day to come back in and he said to come on in. I arrived and Brock came over and told me to order whatever I wanted. On my last visit I tried a steak so I thought I'd try the fried shrimp platter this time and am glad I did. The shrimp were large and deveined (you'd be surprised how many places don't devein) with a light batter and fried perfectly. The cocktail sauce was very good too although next time I'll request a tad bit more horseradish because that's how I like mine. I would recommend trying this local business. The service is friendly and prompt and the menu has a good variety of food to choose from. Thanks Brock for taking care of me and you'll see me again the next time I'm in town and hopefully I can talk the parents into coming with me too.

Don't come here unless you plan to stay for a couple hours - service was painfully slow, and we were our server's ONLY table. I was very disappointed in the service, and that there were other staff in the dining area who didn't seem to notice/care that we were experiencing such a lack of attention. Two people took our drink orders and neither of our waters arrived until we'd been seated fifteen minutes. We had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled more than once. We received two salads, which was a treat because we'd only asked for one. The 34oz steak to share arrived and was rare... not the medium we'd ordered, and we had to send it back to be cooked longer. We ordered potato au gratin and received sweet potato fries. Oh, and then when he suggested dessert, our waiter introduced himself and told us to ask for him the next time we came back... YEA RIGHT! I think the only thing our server didn't mess up was the dessert, a caramel cake that melts in your mouth - strange, but good. It was at his suggestion, so I have to give him that. Twice we had to ask other servers for assistance with our drinks and tracking down our server. Don't plan to be back because of the service. Don't want to chance getting the same server.

After trying some Conestoga barbecue at a local BBQ contest, we thought we would give the Hattiesburg landmark a try. It was a regrettable experience. I ordered the ribs. They seemed like they had been reheated three or four times and were so dry they were barely edible. Worse yet, in a failed effort to hide the fact they were dry, they were slathered in an overabundance of an overly sweet sauce. I did my best to eat the ribs, assuming they had given me the best they had, but my wife received a plate of raw scalloped potatoes that had to be traded in for french fries. Sometimes a restaurant sends out a badly cooked dish and we tend to be very forgiving when that is the case. But overcooked ribs and undercooked potatoes are problems that good cooks catch before they food is served. We will not go there again and you should not either.

We loved it every time we ate here! I could eat a whole meal of their spinach dip. Amazing. Steaks sometimes on the fatty side but still delicious!

The restaurant looks great since remodeling. They have expanded the menu too (not just steaks). Our server was friendly, though she struggled bring our checks to our party in a timely fashion. She did tell use the fat tire beer we were drinking cost $6.50! The price wasn't listed in the menu. They had some good happy hour drinks (as long as you don't drink Fat Tire). The wife, my 1yr old son and I really enjoying seating in the patio listening to some great music

We started with mozzarella sticks...they were your standard frozen fried mozzarella sticks. Chris ordered the fried catfish with crawfish cream sauce and a baked sweet potato. They really nailed the cream sauce, it was full of crawfish atop a very light flakey catfish. The batter around the fish was wonderfully understated just enough for a crunch but not too much that the sauce soaked it off. I ordered the ribs with rice. They were slightly chared on the tips the way I like them. They did not quite "fall off the bone" so a knife was necessary. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste and there was way WAY too much of it. The sides were lacking on both of out plates. The sweet potato was not heated all the was through and had a huge clump of butter that was not melting. The rice was much too salty and over cooked. Overall it was not a bad experience but if we did not have the restaurant.com coupon I would not have felt like we over paid for what it was.

Great lunch specials. Country fried steak is a little too salty.

I've eaten here once. I always wanted to try this place because it looks local and quaint. I was very disappointed. The food was way over priced for what it was. Nothing horrible but way over priced for a so so meal. The service was horrible for the price. I was also charged for an additional side for getting vegetables instead of fries with my steak. A bit ridiculous.
