It's decent. I have a hard time rating BBQ places where I feel mine is juicier at home. The flavor is good but the ribs are so dry. Slapping BBQ sauce on the doesn't make them juicy. The sides are really good but meat is supposed to be the wow factor.

Slap Yo Momma. Dat's it but don't tell the NFL! This location in Courthouse Road Plaza is spacious, clean, and nicely outfitted with wall and ceiling art and displays. There is also an outdoor front covered patio with several tables. Smooth music piped throughout. On this visit I had the Boss Hog Platter. I picked the spare ribs and brisket and left the pulled pork, chicken, sahhsage (is that how you spell sausage?) And wings for next visit. I selected string beans and baked beans for my sides. It was good to see that the serving size of the sides have increased. What was served in I think a three ounce container is now served on a compartmentalized plate. At least it seems like it's more. Strings were well seasoned, beans were good: not pasty, correct temp, but could have used a bit of onion and more acid. Meats were well presented on the plate, layered and feathered. Three St. Louis spares and four 1/4" slices of the flat. Smoked just right and tender, succulent, and not too salty. I found the sauce, served in a squeeze bottle a bit too sweet for me. I like savory. I like the Community flavored teas they have at the beverage station. I got rasberry and mango mixed. Good stuff. Walk up counter service and self disposal. Waitress is there for more drinks and to help out if you ask for something. Another good experience.

Slap Yo Mamma's is a pretty good BBQ joint by most standards. The meat is good quality and the prices are reasonable for what you get. I tried the 3 meat sampler and found it to be a large portion that included two sides. The meat was tender and juicy, not soggy or tough. The sides that I got were the Mac & Cheese and the baked beans. Both were also enjoyable. Many BBQ places don't put time and quality efforts into their sides, but I felt Slap Yo Mamma's did. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone seeking BBQ on the Gulf coast of Mississippi. There are many good options to choose from in the area and this should be on that list.

The food was good. We had the brisket sandwich. We didn't know it didn't come with fries so we had to order them after the fact. Note: cheese fries are Nacho cheese, not American. I'm not a fan of nacho cheese so they were ok. The bread was good on the sandwich. I think though the waitress, Shakena really didn't want to be a waitress though. She came to our table once and we had to ask for more water. When we did she acted like she was surprised we needed more. They had been empty a while.

This place was a pleasant surprise, considering I'm used to Kansas City BBQ. I ordered the pull pork sandwich and smoked wings. My friends ordered the ribs, brisket, chicken and sausages. Great portion, great flavor, friendly staff. My favorite was the wings (smoked with sauce on the side) and the ribs.

BBQ meats are pretty good. However, the menu has changed. Everything is ala carte . If you order a pulled pork sandwich, prepare to $3 for each side. Add an iced tea and you have a $14 lunch. Ovetpriced. Seems like the number of patrons are declining.

This is my first time here. The staff seems friendly. The ribs has great texture and the pulled pork was not soggy or too stringy. They didn't drench it in BBQ sauce which I like. The ribs has a dry run finish. The flavor is simple but yet tasteful. Not bad for me. The beans not saturated with sugar. It has a hit of sweetness but isn't overwhelming. I'll b coming back.

The name alone made it worth checking out, but the food was pretty good. The BBQ nachos were delicious and messy. The meat all seemed to be smoked just right and all of the sides seemed to be home made. Pretty decent value for the price and a laid back atmosphere.

One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I have ever had! Tried the ribs, they were wonderful. I love their bbq sauce.

I went here the day after I had dinner at The Shed, so I could get a fresh comparison. Hands down, Slap Ya Mommas was the clear winner. Friendly staff, quick service, and knockout BBQ. The ribs were smoked to perfection, like one would strive for in a competition. Moist, tender, nice smoke ring, awesome flavor. This level of cooking is not easy to do...these guys know their stuff. The pulled pork was also excellent. It came sauced, with a sweet flavor that carried a spicy kick on the back end. The meat was tender with no gristle or other hard pieces mixed in. The sandwich was so good I wanted to eat another one, but couldn't since I was stuffed. I'm glad I bought a lb of it, cause I'm planning on having one for lunch today. If you love BBQ and are in the Gulfport/Biloxi area, you owe it to yourself to try this place.

The food was fine but the place is just cheesy. It's a family restaurant- I get it- but the whole experience seemed fake. If you have kids take them here but if you want an adult atmosphere with better food go to Murky Waters downtown.

Best ribs ever. Now they have a spot at Beach and Veterans, Biloxi. Can't wait to get my next fix.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The staff was wonderful and the food was plentiful and tasty. No it is not high class, but it was not cheesy either.

I can honestly say this plaxe was just ok. Not the adult fun filled place I anticipated. The ribs are awesome. The sides were not so great. I felt as if my side sald was just thrown together. The baked beans werent as described on the menu. I would eat there again if I just wanted to pick up ribs to go. The customer service was good.

I love slap ya mammas food. was a loyal customer until they went up on their prices. example: the 4 piece rib plate went up 2 dollars. to make matters worse they went from 4 ribs to 3 ribs that is bad business. I could have with a price increase but reducing the portions is bad business. how do you explain raising the price and reducing the portions at the same time. please think your strategy over.

Nice location in Biloxi, but it's a pretty dingy place. The pulled pork was pretty mediocre and the smoked sausage tasted like it had been just plain boiled. We won't be back.

The best ribs in the South East!!!!! I grab a rack every time I hit town. Great atmosphere, great service, affordable prices and did I mention the outstanding RIBS... I have been to all the biggies, Dreamland, Rendezvous, Jim Neely's and a few places in the Carolinas; Slap Ya Momma wins hands down.

We ordered take-out from here and I got the ribs and sausage combo with potato salad and baked beans. The ribs were delicious and the sauce made it even better. The spice they out on the ribs were great b/c it had a kick of spiciness and the smoky flavor was to die for. The sausage was ok but I wasn't that impressed as I was with the ribs. My bf has been there to dine-in and he said he had a good experience also. I would definitely come back here again!

Nothing special, for 10 bucks a quarter chicken it's average at best. The corn was not hot and the chicken was dry. The place is in an old store front and the decor is pretty good considering. Not sure I like the order at the door concept, seems to take it down a notch. Overall I'd return but not for any special occasion or with anyone I wanted to impress. Guess it beats a Big Mac but not by much!

Went here for my mother in law's birthday, this is where she chose. The seating was great, we had a large group and we got to eat in our own little room. I liked that. That was about the only thing, though. The food tastes wonderful...no complaints about that, but the portions are not worth the price. We are at a BBQ place, for goodness sakes, folks want to throw down!! lol... I got 5 roughly 1/4" x 5-6" slices of brisket, a roll and 2 teeny tiny sides (I am NOT kidding, they are MAYBE 1/2 cup at best...) and a drink for about $12. Now, granted, for some folks, this might be plenty of food and the price doesn't matter, but for me, it just didn't seem like that good of a value. The food wasn't something so unbelievable that the price and portion size would be overlooked. The service was lackluster, at best. We were the first in our party and we stood waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes until someone behind the counter acknowledged us. They were friendly enough, but once we were seated we didn't see anyone again until we were almost ready to leave. Can't say I'd go back, good food, but not enough of it... terrible value.
