Coop’s Rib Crib Menu

Ribs are good and sauce is best on the Coast. Location is a bit run down but a great place to place an order for pick up. I have had the brisket sausage ribs and chicken and they all are satisfactory. A tad bit on the expensive side, but you do get large portions.

Coop's has good barbecue. If you want spares, brisket, chicken, or pulled pork get it here. There is better bbq but not on the Coast. Not within 100 miles. Coop's is not a fancy place inside, with metal patio tables and chairs. But it's all about the bbq right?? Meats are not overly smoked, not much of a visible smoke ring, not overcooked. Coop knows how to do it right. Ribs tear perfectly off the bone. 2 sauces in squeeze bottles are offered on the side.. one is sweet one is spicy. The spicy is tomatoe based also with a touch of mustard. It is NOT hot spicy. Mix the two...it's gooooood.

I'm not sure what all the hype is on the sauce...taste like bone suckin' sauce with tooooooooooooo much black pepper added.

Best bbq sauce on the coast. Small building so can't eat with large groups but they do cater. Prices are decent could be a lil cheaper for sandwiches but still great flavor.

I had my first visit today, first of all the parking is in the rear of the building which was not a big parking lot. But then again they can probably only seat 15-20 people inside with tables and chairs being patio furniture. Not built for comfort!! I had the pulled pork and brisket plate with sides of yellow potato salad and baked beans. The plate also came with sliced white bread. I opted for BBQ sauce on the side, the meat had a dry rub on it. The BBQ was delivered in squirt bottles, one being sweet sauce and the other was a hotter, vinegar based sauce. Both were very different but good. I wouldn't say it was the "best" BBQ I've had but it was good. I would recommend this place to anyone. Oh the owners are New Orleans Saints fans! So that gets extra credit. Lol

My husband and I stopped here on our way home to Baton Rouge, La. The BBQ hit the spot. The rub and sweet sauce are perfection. As others have said, it's a little on the pricey side, but certainly worth it. We'll definitely be back and will recommend to our friends and family. Stop in, you'll love it too.

Great fall off the bone ribs, but sides are too expensive! Good spot to try once or twice a year.

The food here is excellent! I usually get the pork ribs plate with baked beans and mac and cheese. They do not skimp on quality of the sides either! Fantastic service every time I have gone there. There are a few tables for dining in, but I usually get mine to go.

Came in with a friend from Missouri at the end of Feb 2014, had the brisket plate and pulled pork sandwich, both with baked beans, adding collard greens to the plate~ and both of us had the peach cobbler...both of us LOVED our lunch and will DEFINITELY be back!!

I brought some friends from work here. Everyone liked what they got. I ordered a plate while my lady ordered a sandwhich. Her sandwhich had the same amount of pulled pork as my plate. Kind of a bumer since the sandwhich was cheaper. Keep this in mind and examine the menu before you order for best value. Okay that kinda sounded negative but the bbq is legit. Everyone is super nice and of course Coop was walking around. Give it a shot and let us know what you think!

A bit out of the way but worth the trip. Really enjoyed the brisket sandwich (huge!) and the sweet bar-b-que sauce was yummy! The Mac-n-cheese is very cheesy and tasty!

It's not 3 $ signs. More like 1. Awesome BBQ. Different than most I have had. Great sauce. Nice people. You can't go wrong. Very good pulled pork sandwich - I will head to the crib next time I am in the area for sure!

Bayou and barbecue are not two words that often fit comfortably together... but just outside Biloxi in neighboring Gulfport there's some Bayou Barbecue that's too good not to be found. Personally the Brown Shoe Gourmet always feels a little more comfortable when the folks with skin in the game are the same folks behind the cash register and delivering the food to the table. And that's Coop, big smile and all, at the order counter greeting folks who were able to finally find his place. What makes his barbecue different? Well, it starts with the wood; most folks use hickory, or hickory and oak. Coop uses pecan, cherry and oak - combined and cooked very low and slow. The result, combined with one of the most unique sauces this side of Arthur Bryant's in Kansas City, is some exceptional 'cue. The rust red sauce is loaded with pepper providing a very unique flavor. Not overwhelming, but enough you notice the difference. Their ribs were the best I've enjoyed in some while - certainly the best to be found along the gulf. The brisket was chopped and full flavor - not dry and drab as is too often the case. Didn't get to the pulled pork or chicken or, (and this is unique for the area) the rib tips. Two men at the next table seemed to be enjoying theirs. The sides are all made on premises, the long shred slaw was unique, the fries, with Coop's special seasoned salt, were good. Did not get to the mac n cheese, beans, fried okra, cornbread or collards. Appreciated the fact our food was served on paper plates and that extra sauce was available on the table. Place we ate yesterday served otherwise good barbecue in Styrofoam to go trays and parceled out the sauce in small sealed containers. The Rib Crib is not the biggest venue in town, and the seating is on patio furniture; my hunch is they represented a bargain buy at someone's going out of business sale. The biggest negative? No Brunswick Stew. It would have been interesting to see how they prepared that southern barbecue staple. And no T-shirt to add to the collection of 200+. In the Biloxi/Gulfport area? There are others, but make sure you make time to find and enjoy Coop's Rib Crib.

Absolutely the worst BBQ I have ever had...over cooked over sauced just generally not good...nice folks, sides were good...oh and way overpriced...like $$$$ my lunch of two meats two sides and a drink $17. Did I mention it was terrible...can I give minus stars?

First time at Coop's. Very friendly service and great food. Can't go wrong with food selection of ribs, brisket, or pulled pork. Baked beans and cole slaw were great alongside my pulled pork sandwich. Highly recommend the peach cobbler!

On our way back to Texas from a week at the beach and we all wanted to stop for some BBQ...found this great little place...sure it's not right off the highway...but it's worth the little drive. AWESOME food and the nicest people! Heading home with full bellies and feeling our hunger was more than satisfied!
