This restaurant is wonderful! The staff was so warm and friendly. The menu has so much variety and anything you choose will be exceptional! We had a large party and the service and food was 5 Star plus. The fried green tomatoes with crabmeat were crispy and delicious. My husband had the filet and it was cooked perfectly so tender too. The bisque soup was rich and creamy. A friend had the rabbit and I tasted a bite, WOW! I had the fish special that was brought in from the Gulf that day. It was a grouper with a fantastic sauce with Lump crab meat. I live near the Gulf and it was as fresh as you can get. We had such a fun night! Loved it! Thanks for taking care of us!

The environment is pretty spectacular. The inside of a cozy, old house. It's really warm and welcoming. I usually got the Italian food and it was, in my opinion, the best Italian that Greenville had to offer. The eggplant parmesan was especially memorable. Their service was always spectacular and polite.

What a disappointment. After reading the yelp reviews, we expected an enjoyable dining experience. I had the spaghetti and catfish dinner. I don't usually order catfish, however since we were in the Mississippi delta, I had high expectations. Nope, was boring and mushy. Husband was satisfied with his chicken fried Chicken dish. He liked the sauce. Overall a very average meal that was overpriced.

Meh. Sad room (banquet chairs?), overdressed salad, underwhelming seafood platter. For the prices, we expected more.

This is my favorite Resturant in Greenville. My favorite is the chicken fried ribeye.

Came here for the Jack Daniels cake shown on their website to find they don't offer it anymore - pickins are slim here in Greenville):

True southern country elegance. I could not finish the chicken fried chicken and took it back to the hotel for breakfast. I was again blown away. And I don't even like white meat.

Wow! Just wow! If you're around the area you have to eat here! Was in town from Sol Cal and have never had this good of southern cooking.

I've eaten here only once (had the grilled salmon) but the experience was top notch. I've been to many of the great restaurants in the Greenville area and Posecai's is tops among them, from the old 1896 house to the great attention to detail on the food. A very nice experience.

Wonderful place for an elegant dinner with good food and true southern hospitality. Arguably one of the best steaks you will get around town. (black and blue ribeye). You can't go wrong with just about anything on the menu,

I usually reserve "WOOHOO!" for the ultimate eating experience and I am pretty spoiled living in the bay area .... but because this was the best food I encountered during the trip - Posecai's definitely deserves a round of wooohooos! This restaurant specializes in Delta and Cajun cuisine. Their website provides some really interesting information about the establishment and Chef Ted Posecai who appears to be a local celeb chef. The venue itself is absolutely charming as an 1896 house which opened up the first floor as a restaurant. As soon as you walk up the front steps you feel as if you are a guest into someone's home for dinner. Love that feeling! The staff is so warm and welcoming that this feeling last throughout the meal. We had a large group of people (30) take the majority of the main dining hall which looked like it could have been the formal living area as it had a really cool fireplace. This is where we had the cocktail reception and dinner. After 45 mins of mingling we were seated and appetizers served included: (12) fresh raw NOLA oysters, sushi (maki roll) samplers, (6) baked/broiled oysters and fried calamari. My absolute favorite were the raw oysters. Our table destroyed them in about 3 minutes. They were small but meaty and most importantly harvested from the Delta before the BP incident. The locals were pretty sad about not having these oysters for a while (I would be too)! With the alcohol flowing the inhibitions no where to be found, we requested for more oysters...and ended up eating 2 more plates spread between 3-4 people. Side salads were served next and the fresh mixed greens were a nice change from the abundance of bbq, fried food that we've been eating since our arrival. Main entrees were served and I ordered the house speciality which is the ribeye. The special of the day included lump crabmeat over the top. After almost a dozen oysters I had to say no to crab but a colleague ordered it on and I got to try a small bite - delish! The staff kept the southern hospitality by continuing to refresh our drinks which was hard to keep up with as many people switched from cocktails, beer to wine. Several outstanding dishes that were raved about included: the grilled bacon wrapped shrimp, the soft shelled crab, the veal and the Texas Chop which is a pork chop. Now don't get me wrong NO ONE complained about any of their dishes. Everyone was quite happy. We had some leisure time before dessert was served and Posecai's is known for their banana foster's which I had the year before. So I wanted to try something different. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was divine....glazed strawberries over soft as a heavenly cloud shortcake with mounds of whipped cream - YUM. I let some people (ok ok only two) take some bites of my dessert before I completely polished it off. So good! Also some added greats...no mosquitos. Reasonable prices (this is a finer dining establishment so entrees were in the mid-20s) for the quality and portion the cost is definitely worth it. I can't wait to go back next year! Posecai's you are truly the gold standard in the area.
