I am required to travel a lot for work. I've stayed here about three times. And honestly, it is only because it is the cheapest place I feel safe spending the night alone in the town. The best thing I have found about this place are the rooms. They are comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately, that is about it. The quality of the staff is hit or miss. I had to leave early one morning around 5am while it was still dark. The front desk worker called a security officer to escort me to my car. Besides that, I have walked up to the front desk and witnessed staff arguing, gossiping, not being present at all, and other problematic actions. The buffet has got to be the biggest joke in Mississippi. There is a wall blocking the view of the buffet from people not inside the dining area. You can only see the buffet once you pay. There is a reason for this. The ONLY time I paid, there were maybe 8 options. I was equally disgusted by two things. 1. There were an exorbitant amount of flies around the salad bar-so the salad was not an option. 2. Again, I am picky, BUT once I found the so called catfish, there was not a single piece bigger than my pinky finger. I mean they are located in catfish country. There is no excuse for that but being cheap and/or lazy. On another stay, I couldn't eat at the buffet for the previous reasons. I chose to eat at the upscale Italian restaurant. There were so many problems with this. First, I walked in and literally had to stand in front of a waitress walking and said I want to eat. Her response was: 'No one has seated you?" So after she yelled across the restaurant to the host, I was seated after about 10 minutes. In a restaurant with about 15 tables. So I sat for another 20 minutes before anyone spoke to me about an order. Apology followed by my ordering a martini and seafood pasta. The martini glass was only half filled. When I asked about this, she said it was because the waiters dont want to spill any liquid. After my fruitless reply that I'm paying for an entire drink etc... I waited another 20 minutes before another waitress came to me and gave an apology and said the first waitress never put my order in and apparently asked everyone else if I had been served. I then realized my first waitress had a table with six whole people and she was clearly more interested in a huge tip. The second waitress was extremely nice and quickly brought my food. The manger came and apologized and gave me a free (disgusting) salad and a free drink. So I guess my two half drinks equaled the one whole drink I paid for. But because the second waitress was awesome, I gave her a very nice tip that I'm sure she shared with the first waitress. Hopefully, this will be a lesson to not ignore people who eat alone. To address the previous comments, I have never had issues with the wi-fi or cell signal. But my phone is with CSpire, a Mississippi specific cell company. I have never heard concerts from my room. In conclusion, hotel is great and cheap but stop before you hit that six mile stretch and grab something to eat.

Buffet is a joke. Old, cheap quality and minimal selection. Worst excuse for food i've ever seen at a casino. Spend half as much at a cheap chinese buffet and you'll be better off, seriously.

One of the worst buffets by a casino. Cold food, no meat, meager selection. I've eaten twice at the new location and have been highly disappointed and said I would never go back. I'm sure there's plenty who enjoy it, but not me.

A group of us stayed here during our southern travels and for the price and amenties this place can't be beat. Rooms are good sizes with a kind of whimisical romantic decor for example walls painted a hazy lavender gray/brown with white leather button tufted headed boards. No closest but giant amoire sets. Very unexpected for Mississippi. There's a casino on the first floor which I didn't set foot in while I was here. If you're a night owl or gambling person I guess this could be a positive. Really only stayed here for sleeping accomodations and to make use of the bar lounge which is in the lobby. Service was great there as they remembered all our drinks over a span of two days. Now that's service! Some negatives: limited wifi. I had a signal in certain areas of my room but not in all. Cell reception is limited. I heard Verizon signal is weak in this area but I think it's dependent on the phone model. Mine (Blackberry Storm) had adequate reception while some of my colleagues who had the Curve couldn't make calls so I let them use my phone. No real restaurant in the hotel. There's a small cafe in the casino where there's a limited food options.

Room is clean & decent. Food options EXTREMELY limited (breakfast options today were ham, bacon or sausage breakfast sandwiches or muffins). Drink prices in the casino bar are excellent, but the bartender was stumped by not having the "mixer" for a gin martini. Since he did have gin & olives, my husband was reasonably satisfied as it was only $3.00. Most of the staff has been very friendly. The reason for the 1-star rating is the absolutely rude, insulting behavior of a front desk *manager*. We went to the desk to ask if there was shuttle service to the airport so we could pick up a rental car. The clerk had to call security to find out. While waiting for the man from security, a manager of some sort showed up, and when informed of our request, actually laughed (with us standing right there). She told us there was no transport service, but when the security man showed, he said a transport request would be needed, but she said she doesn't do those. My husband then asked if there is local taxi service. The manager indicated that taxis don't come here, and if they did it would cost $60. Her whole attitude was that we were basically screwed. My husband then asked how, since this is a hotel and casino, other guests might get from airport to hotel and back, her response was "well, how did you get here?" Walking back to the elevator, I actually asked my husband if it was possible that we are the ONLY people to ever ask such a question. Back in our room, I googled taxis. Of three listing there, none were contactable. At our wits end, we called Hertz where a helpful lady actually called us a taxi then called us back to let us know when he'd arrive. My husband, being a smartass, got a business card from the driver and gave it to the desk clerk for future reference. Later, we ran into the man from security, who had talked with his boss and gotten approval to take us, but he didn't know our room number to let us know :(. Would have saved us $45. I'm just astounded that the manager could not be bothered to assist in what can not possibly be an outrageous request.

This is the Hotel/Resort/Casino of the "NO". No pool. No Jacuzzi, No Gym, No laundry facilities... Before my business trip, Harlow did not have rooms available for my duration. The manager worked his magic and found room. He spent a lot of time working with my corporate office to make availability to accommodate a couple of weeks. There was a concert in the middle of my stay which, I guess, complicated things. I checked in and there was no information other than my name for the reservation. The front desk had me pay with my personal card, no problem. The office fixed this the next day. OK, I thought as I was checking in, I asked about a gym. No gym and no pool nor Jacuzzi. The receptionist gave me directions to a local facility. OK, a few days later I needed laundry and asked the front desk about laundry. They initially said neither facilities nor ability to have a pickup and delivery; they contacted their supervisor and found out that they could do it. They did give directions to a facility in town. I ate at the buffet which was actually pretty decent. There is also a 24 hour eatery at Harlow's. Breakfast is good. Do not go during dinner unless you like to sit in an ashtray. The smoke is horrendous. Thick and choking. It is just off of the casino and WOW, just eye watering waiting for food. I decided to eat in my room because I could not tolerate the smoke any longer. I had to shower and put my clothes in a trash bag due to the stench before I could eat. The Philly Cheese Steak was good. The card for the room will deactivate every couple of days. I returned from work on a Saturday afternoon to find a "PRIVACY PLEASE" placard on my door and the card key would not work. I went to the front desk and asked if I was still in my room the receptionist went to the computer and, I was still in there. The card for the room will deactivate every couple of days, according to the front desk staff. My room did not get serviced. At this point I am finished. I have enough towels to get by and I made the bed. Wi-Fi is hit-and-miss, and the concert I mentioned earlier; it sounds like my room is in the concert hall for their sound check. Thud, thud, thud, thud... Concert is tomorrow. If it sounds anything like this I will check out early. It is what it is and it is not good here. When I have to return to this area for business, I am not sure where I will stay but, it will definitely NOT be here.
