Its actually a cool locally owned spot. Their red beans & rice are good...love that they include an andouille sausage link. Delish! The chef is pretty good. Hadn't been disappointed yet! Expect to pay a little more than you like, but its worth it.

Shrimp and grits was tasty. Grits were artfully separated from the shrimp and sauce. This solves the common problem with shrimp and grits of having too many grits.

Pretty good Cajun food for Clinton, Ms. Been looking for something like this since I left south Louisiana. It will be one of my regular lunch stops since the price is fair.

I go to Nawlins Grills several times per month. The food is great! The Chef Alex is one of the best! Locally Owned. If you are traveling and looking for the non chain, unique place that makes trips fun, this is a great place to stop!

I have eaten at N'awlins Grill many times and the food is always delicious. Great chef and staff. When I first moved to Clinton, their wait-staff was not the greatest, but service has really improved since then. We go for the steaks, seafood, red beans & rice, daily lunch specials...

Short Story: Very good food. Good service. Stop by for some good Cajun cuisine. Long story: A unique item here is baked red potatoes and butter instead of the traditional dinner bread. They were well cooked and a bit more special for the originality. The fried crab claws were great. It was a large serving with a choice of sauces. I had the blackened redfish. It was a touch overdone. The thin part of the filet was crisp like a cracker. The thicker part was tasty and moist. The side was a baked potato which was quite tasty. However, I've always found a potato on my plate still wrapped in foil to be a bit lacking from a professional presentation perspective. No restaurant wanting to be more than a food stand should serve anything in foil. The included salad was crisp and simple. I found the Italian dressing to be fabulous. My wife really enjoyed the comeback dressing. My wife had the fried catfish. It was quite good. It was lightly breaded with cornmeal. She really enjoyed the potato salad as a side. At our table we also had shrimp and grits which was the best plated shrimp and grits I've ever seen. He said it was as good as it looked. The single downside I have is that the service could be a bit more professional. Our server was attentive, just not very polished or professional. We received everything in a timely manner and everyone's order was correct, although the crawfish bisque came out with the meal rather than before the main course. These small details are all that kept this from being a 5 start rating.

Really good place to eat, nice presentation. The Carmel pie is out of this world!! Great staff and great owners. We always return.

The have the best grilled chicken and mozzarella sandwich I ever tasted. I would've given a 5 star rating if the waitstaff was better.

Great food and service by Juliana. We had the Catfish Filet dinner, Catfish Basket & Oyster PoBoy.... delicious down to the perfect tartar sauce. The Hush Puppies told the story... The best we've had in MS. You can taste the clean oil used to fry the puppies. Can't wait to try the Shrimp & Grits. Oh...and the Sweet Tea was perfect.

The shrimp and grits are absolutely to die for! Their proportions are very generous, so, bring your appetite. Good location and very friendly wait staff... I can't wait to go back so I try their bacon, lettuce and fried green tomato sandwich!

A gem of a restaurant especially for Clinton. From the outside it appears small but inside there is plenty of seating. Service is a weak point as there were 3 young people covering the entire restaurant. The food was good and I would return, but the portions are small for the price considering the location. I feel the fish was appropriately sized but the toppings and especially the side items should be larger for the price. The complementary appetizer isn't bread (in fact you don't get any bread at all with your meal) but instead is potatoes. At first you don't know what to do with them, but they are tasty and, if you don't eat them early, can serve as a second side to your meal. Here is what we had: Seafood Gumbo - small cup but rich and full of flavor. Not thin like true New Orleans gumbo. Seafood Nachos - interesting twist on nachos. Tri-colored tortilla chips with crawfish instead of meat. Redfish Orleans - tasty fried green tomatoes covered with redfish topped with alfredo sauce and crabmeat. Side was mixed vegetables. Fish was a little dry but the sauce helped mitigate that. Redfish Pontchatrain - grilled redfish topped with crabmeat and mushrooms in a tasty wine butter sauce. Side was cole slaw. Fish was a little dry - what I would blame on being either a little overdone, frozen at some point, or both.

Food was good. Great bisque, good oyster poorboy, very good potato salad, decent catfish poorboy. I can only give three stars as the service was terrible. We were ignored by three employees. There were 2 servers, 6 tables of customers (13 people) and the waitress "forgot" us. How? The bisque was served after the sandwich and I had to ask for a spoon. Seriously? If you are willing to forgo customer service, the food is worth the visit.

Ok, so I've been here a couple times now. The first for take-out. I got a catfish plate and a popcorn shrimp plate. Both were quite good and I'd go back for that. Today, however, we dined in. Service was a little slow, but it was a decent number of tables waiting so I'm guessing they're not usually that busy. I could deal with the short wait, my six year old had his video game and the baby was calm. I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband the gumbo. The shrimp dish had an interesting presentation (see the picture), I was amused and it had a decent flavor but I don't know what they did (or didn't do) to the shrimp but my stomach told me to stop eating it after one bite :-/ It was very pale and weirdly hard.. My husband said the gumbo was just ok, we've had better. I'll stick to the deep fried options next time.

Me and my buddy found this place on yelp on our way to North Carolina and decided to stop for lunch. I was absolutely blown away. This place kicks ass, in every aspect. Great, friendly service right off the bat, they let you seat yourself. The menu is a good size, definitely not a big menu at all, but they don't need one. With both of us being from Texas, our sweet tea standards were high as ever. And they were not let down, the sweet tea was perfect. Now the food. Wow... I started with a cup of gumbo which was so flavorful it was ridiculous. With a scoop of white rice in it too, oh my god it was awesome. Probably the best gumbo I've ever had. For our meals, my buddy got the "crawfish nachos" which were even better than they sound. Basically a mountain of chips covered in whole chunks of perfectly cooked crawfish, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and the kicker....seafood bisque. That was the game changer, I've never had that before but it was genius. It made those nachos the best I've ever had as well. I went with the oyster basket, which came with a half pound of perfectly, and lightly fried juicy oysters. Hand cut fresh Fries, hush puppies, and ridiculously good coleslaw. Every single aspect of the meal was awesome and clearly fresh as can be. That cole slaw was the truth, and I'm not really much of a cole slaw guy but this stuff changed me. We were stuffed after all this food and for a good price. If you ever have a chance to go here, you won't regret it I promise you that. Major props to the chef. He knows what he's doing.

Atmosphere: A little on the small side but nice place for dinner. Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine: DELICIOUS. So good. The pasta was a little over-cooked, not really al dente. BUT, the sauce was so good, I didn't care. I kept stealing portions of this from my roommate. The garlic bread is also very good. Blackened Chicken Melt sandwich: Also very good! Came with yummy fries and a side. I got the potato salad, which me and my roommate LOVED. She almost got it to go! I hope to try more food from here. So far so good! They are a tad expensive though but the service is so nice. We ate past closing time and they didn't bother us once! How nice!

Best poyboy that I have ever eaten! All if the sauces were great. The "come back" sauce on oyster poyboy was incredible!

Just keeps getting better! Food is fabulous, now they have remodeled and it looks great! Haven't had a better steak in Jackson, the sauces are great, lunch specials are fast, good price and delicious! I love this place! Oh yeah, now they have BbQ! Only Saturday, I think.

I am not sure how long this place has been open, but I sure wish I would have tried it sooner! I decided to try it for the first time about a month ago. I remember having to wait for a table b/c they were so busy. This of course is a good sign for me. It didn't take long at all before a table opened up. I tried the mushroom mozzarella burger with fries and potato salad. The burger was a good size and quite tasty. I don't recall the fries but the potato salad was very good. I plan on going back soon.
