Mugshots Grill & Bar Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

What I believe makes Mugshots so good isn't just their burgers- its the bun. Their buns are fresh, sweet bread that is very moist and slathered in butter. Delicious! Many burger joints make a great burger but put it on a cheap, crumbly bun, but not here. Their Sandwiches come with the same bread/bun unless otherwise noted. The hamburger itself was always been moist in my experience, and I've eaten here probably 15+ times. I'm not sure why other reviewers have had dry meat because its always the same for me- the shape, texture, and moisture are exactly the same each time. The meat seems like it has a high fat content which would account for the taste and texture-it pulls apart more easily than most restaurant hamburger. They have a lot of varieties in hamburger toppings, and even allow you to change it up quite a bit by adding different things. They also have a good variety in sides. Their sweet potato fries are very tasty. They also have the option of steamed OR grilled vegetables which is great when you want something a bit healthier. The few salads I've tried have been surprisingly delicious and I would absolutely recommend their Rajun "Hester" Cajun salad. Their Southwest Egg Rolls are basically identical to Chili's, But the Sweet Chili dipping sauce take a pleasant, new take on them. It's definitely worth trying. Tried their Rajun Cajun Pasta once and wasn't a fan. The sauce was lackluster and rather plain. My only complaint is that if you don't want a burger/sandwich, your choice is salad or 3 fairly plain pastas. I would like it if there were a couple more options that weren't so grain/carb loaded.

I'm not a fan of Mugshots. Went with five friends for some "Best in Mississippi" burgers. Not sure who was included in the voting, but it wasn't me. All of our burgers came out well-done, despite requesting otherwise. Like Rebecca L. said, if not for the different toppings and condiments, the burger would have no taste. I'd be surprised to learn that they aren't just pre-cooked, frozen burgers. I wasn't impressed with the atmosphere either. I thought it had more of a hospital cafeteria vibe instead of the swanky burger joint I was expecting with a name like Mugshots.

I really don't like giving bad reviews but seriously this place is a joke. I've eaten here three times with my family and all three times I've been EXTREMELY disappointed. First, they don't cook there burgers "made to order". If you order it medium, it's going to come well done and dry and hard as a four day old biscuit. Their hamburger patties have absolutely no flavor to them. None. Zilch. Zip. Nada. The French fries and sweet potato fries. It's all cooked in the same grease so it all tastes just like everything else. First time I got the the burger with the teriyaki sauce and pineapple, wasn't bad for a dried out piece of meat with a slice of pineapple on top. Second time I got the Mac n cheese burger. GROSS! It's just a dried out burger patty shoved between two plain jane grilled cheeses topped with the ordinary blue box Mac n cheese. I could have made that mess at home, and will next time. The third time I figured I would play it safe and just order an appetizer, nachos. The chips were sooo greasy and sooo salty. It was disgusting. The kids ordered their pasta. One with marinara sauce the other with Alfredo sauce. That mess came straight up out of a jar...our waitress even confirmed that. I don't see how this place has been repeatedly voted "the best place to get a burger". If you're going to have a burger establishment, make the stuff to order and authentic. Not some nasty from a box or jar crap that any can do at home. I gave it a one star because I had to. But other than that, you get to keep the plastic cups. The service is a little more than mediocre but nothing spectacular. But I'll never waste my time in this place again.

All restaurants are not created equal!!! Loved the Mugshots in Mobile, Al so much that I began liking blue cheese on my burgers everywhere I could get it. When I had a chance to try the Mugshots in Biloxi, I started drooling.. It was down hill from there. At 1:30 in the afternoon they were still fairly busy. I ordered the Walker burger/ w bacon, expecting to enjoy the burger that started it for me. I feel lied to. The 8 oz burger patty looked and tasted like something from the freezer section at Wally World. The grill burn marks were the only flavor I could taste. No hickory smoked bacon, or blue cheese crumbles or the blue cheese spread applied to one side of the bun flavor could be found. I did not enjoy my visit to this Mugshots.

Great location: next to the beach, the mall, and Keesler AFB. Good ambiance to hangout with friends. This restaurant is known to be the best in Mississippi for their burgers and won an award almost every year for it. Service was fast, burgers were pretty tasty, and the overall experience was satisfaction every time. There are two sides of the restaurant, for those who smoke and for those who doesn't. Lots of variety in their burgers that it gets hard to make a decision. There's a take home souvenir cup as well. Definitely the place to be when craving a burger or just to getaway and have a cheat meal.

Ordered take out. Had to wait 35 minutes to pay because the system was down. Watched as my food sat in front of me getting cold. Manger walked by 4 or 5 times without an apology or anything to acknowledge the problem. One customer was waiting over an hour. Food obviously was dry and cold when we ate it.

This place sucks. We ordered Spinach Artichoke Dip and chips. We waited for over half an hour and when we finally asked about our order the not very pleasant bartender went to the back. She returned with our order. It was a pile of stale tortilla chips and a styrofoam bowl of dip. The bowl was burnt in 3 places. Obviously it was heated in a microwave and hot enough to burn the bowl but leave the contents lukewarm at best. Don't go here!

The one star vote was for the falling star that obviously hit the kitchen and disabled any amount preparing food or concern on the part of management (sad face ) anyway .... In a hurry to catch a movie ? Got to get back to the office within the hour ? Better drive past this one !!!! We were seated after waiting 3 minutes to be noticed inside the front door - ten minutes later server , unapologetic , matter of fact , takes drink order . Time it took to get waited on until food was in front of us - THIRTY FIVE MINUTES . You do the math . Sorry , aint no burger worth that wait . Maybe they should go into the Comedy Club business . Next!!!!!!!

Great service, great burgers, and friendly ambiance. I come here with out without a partner in crime to indulge in my guilty pleasures in life (I.e. burgers and tequila). They're also just across the street from the beach, which makes it a breeze to geek less guilty after I eat and enjoy what's right in their [back]yard. They've been voted best burger multiple years (consecutive years) and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Best burger I have had in a long time and the fries are the bomb dot com. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Seated and waited on in timely manner/fashion, but the wait to be waited on seemed an eternity. The waitresses seemed nervous. We'd heard many good things about this place from hockey fans who frequented here. I got an interesting sandwich with guacamole on it, but the guacamole was missing. When I advised the waitress, she said it was on the bottom. Happily prepared for that response, I showed her the bottom of my sandwich and she offered to take it back and give me another made properly. I told her a 'side' container would do and I would add it myself. The boss came by afterward to make sure all okay, but a couple at a nearby table was having one of their plates returned. I believe our experience wasn't horrible by a stroke of luck and would be loathe to recommend it at this juncture. It's every man for himself at Mugshots just now!

Very decent food at quite an affordable price. I came away impressed. I had a large tasty burger for well under $10. That is surprisingly difficult thing to do these days.

Great food, but the seating is in bad shape and the place stinks from smokers in the bar at the back of the restaurant. Been coming here on a regular basis and more and more of the seat have large taped areas; most of the booths are dirty with most having tattered material where 2 booths meet.

Very good burgers. I'm very temped to have a go at the special challenge burger with the three patties.

I have eaten here several times. On this visit I had the breakfast burger, which has bacon and an egg on the burger with a side of regular french fries. The fries were okay. They also offer sweet potato fries and onion rings but there is an up-charge. I really do like the sourdough bread that is served with the burgers. We sat at the bar, which has several flat screen tvs. The bartender was very friendly. Overall this visit was a good experience. I left with a full stomach! I recommend trying it out.

I like this place. I've been here several times and I always like my food. The Mac n Cheese burger is awesome...huge and a definite heart attack, but awesome! The service is friendly and usually pretty quick. They also have a pretty great happy hour. I like to come here on Sundays because they have a NFL Sunday ticket and plenty of tv's to watch the games. It's a little smoky in the bar area and the air is always cold, otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.

Jesus H. Christ. 2 months later and the infamous dead cricket is still there! How does this reflect on your kitchen's cleanliness when you can't mop a damn bathroom?!

Favorite burger spot in Biloxi! Hands down. Been here so many times, tried almost all the burgers on the menu, never disappointed. I don't live in the area anymore but I would definitely go out of my way to come back here. Love this place.

Love this place! Always a great staff present, and my personal favorite is the patty which is a turkey burger on sourdough bread. their sweet potato fries are great and you get a souvenir Cup take home.

One of my favorite places to eat and get an awesome burger. Love the Walker, Gamble, and Stu's Magic Mushroom.

  • Tre A.

Awesome burger place in Mississippi. I can definitely tell why they have the best burger seven years running. For around $10, you get an amazing burger and fries that will leave you full and gluttonous! Perfectly cooked and seasoned burgers, I love all of the add-ons that you can put on your burger too! If you are ever visiting Biloxi Mississippi, this is a definite go to!!!

  • Nolan T.

Awesome burgers! Unique combinations of classics and new creations. Portion sizes are large. Great beer battered fries as well. Billiards tables in the back and neat pics on the walls. Great place to eat and have fun!

Rating the restaurant four stars. I'd say that the gourmet burgers are just about a comparison to Red Robin burgers. As for the burgers, the buns were soft enough to enjoy the taste, and the burgers are thick and juicy instead of hard like hockey pucks. The many flavors of the burgers are quite amazing. My mom's Da Big Cheese burger is quite a great taste, as well as the Steak Burger. My Steak Burger had its influences to the Philly cheesesteaks, which is quite outstanding. The free chips and rotel as a special offer were good. Service of the restaurant experience was good as usual. I would come back to this restaurant again.

I didn't expect overcooked burgers and poor service from a restaurant that claimed to have been voted "Mississippi's Best Burger", but that's what I got. After an exhausting day at the beach and Beauvoir, I decided to seek out a good burger joint. Mugshots seemed to fit the bill so off I went. It was an odd time of day when I arrived (2:30 p.m.) so the restaurant was only 1/4 full. I started getting excited when I read all of the signs exclaiming the best burger award, but that excitement quickly turned to frustration. It took a little while for our server to arrive, but once she did she was friendly. She took our drink order then vanished. It took upwards of 10-15 minutes for her to return with our drinks. Since we had so much time to review the menu, we ordered an appetizer of pow-pow shrimp and our main course. Our server once again disappeared, and didn't return until our food was delivered. The appetizer and entrees were delivered simultaneously. I will never understand why restaurants do this, and it is quite frustrating. How is the table supposed to decide which item gets cold first? Servers should know how to time the ordering so this does not happen. Considering her disappearing act, it should have come as no surprise that her server skills were equally lacking across the board. The pow-pow shrimp were billed as a spicy, Thai style shrimp. They were not spicy, and were overcooked. The sauce did very little to improve the taste or texture of this dish. I hoped my "award winning" burger would save the day, but I was wrong. I should have realized that our experience would be less than stellar when I asked if I could have my burger cooked to a medium temperature. The server informed me that the patties come pre-made and frozen, so all burgers are cooked to medium-well. It is my own fault for not bailing at that point, but surely the "best burger in Mississippi" would deliver. Not surprisingly, the burger was overcooked, and very ordinary. The fries were equally bad. I found very little to like about Mugshots. Their only saving grace was their beer selection which included all of the Lazy Magnolia brews. Maybe I came on an off day, or maybe this is their standard. Either way I left feeling very disappointed at the entire experience.

If you've ever been to a Red Robins, I'd say the burgers at Mugshots are about as good, perhaps even better depending on your tastes. The buns are soft but not too soft, and the patties are thick and juicy. Btw, I always love burgers with some extra interesting ingredients, whether it's a giant slice of pineapple, a fried egg, etc. The chicken wings are good too, as well as most of their other stuff. The beer selection at the bar is pretty good. There are pool tables in the back.

I went to Mugshots a little bit after noon one Saturday. I ordered their McDonald burger after the waitress said it was the most popular. I waited 50 mins for my meal and it still wasn't ready. I left and called back. I spoke to the manager and told him how disappointed I was with the service. He said the kitchen was behind, even though I was never told that by the waitress. I probably will give them another try in the future.

Good burgers, but lacking in atmosphere. They have a lot of people on the floor, but no one seems to be that busy. I ordered the Walker. It was cooked just how I like it...a perfect medium. I had kind of expected their fries to have some more flavor though. The sweet tea wasn't sweet enough for me either, but that's an easy fix. The burger was amazing...so was the bun. Yum. Yum. Yum.

Order burgers for the family. Great food. Tasted very fresh. The queso dip is AMAZING! It took them awhile to seat us and greet us once we were seated. The only reason I did not give them five stars is the greeter. She did not smile and did seem to enthused to seat us. Other than that I would recommend others to the restaurant.

Mugshots had won numerous awards for its burgers over the years but I decided to go out of the box and try there wings. I ordered the BBQ wings and had some fried pickles as a side dish with some sweet tea. The wings were fresh, hot and good. They were not the best wings I have tasted but this is a place known for burgers not wings, so I was pleased with them. The fried pickles were good and the dipping sauce that came with them was tasty as well. Overall I enjoyed my meal and the service was great. I gave this place 3 stars not based on the food but based on the fact they have a smoking section inside. The placed reeked of smoke and that was the only disappointing thing about my experience.

  • Brandy P.

Definitely one of my favorite places to eat . The burgers are SOOOOO good. If I order a burger, I order the McDonald with a side of potato salad (it's super good). The wings are also very good and I do enjoy the Cajun pasta from time to time. The beer selection is awesome if you're in the drinking mood. And.. Because I am a cider fan, I always make sure the places I go have it, and yes, they do. (Woodchuck, angry orchard and Stella cider) I believe are the one's the bartender told me they had. The wait staff is normally very friendly and helpful if you're unsure what to order ( because there really is a wide variety of goodness to choose from). If you are visiting from out of town or are a local, it's definitely worth trying out. OH!! And the MOO MOO MILKSHAKES are freaking amazing!

  • Justin J.

Food is great! The ditzy blonde waitress oh so happened to forget our silverware with a 35 minute wait time from order until food arrived, in a relatively empty house. Sub par and not impressed with the wait staff, however the kitchen is the pivotal factor and foundation of this establishment.

Simply awesome! The burgers are huge and delicious... The buns were grilled to perfection. I had the "Walker" with the blue cheese! Just fantastic!

Great burgers every kind imaginable. Sports bar in the back and plenty of tvs to watch sports news weather. Sweet potatoes fries are great and appetizers are good too.

  • Guy M.

I frequented the bar here when I lived in Biloxi. The staff, service, atmosphere, and food are all excellent. The burgers DO live up to the hype! The french fries, onion rings and wings are all great. They have a big draft beer selection, and good drink specials.

Mugshots is one of the places that people should dine at when they're in Biloxi. They have a variety of different burgers, pretty good chicken wings, big drinking cups, good service, AND Military Discount-!

Our third time here and we have never been disappointed. Always a cheerful staff, a unique menus for burgers, good service and very good meals. We'll be back.

  • Dae'lyn R.

Mugshots was AMAZING! My whole family loved it! The burger itself was one of the best we've ever set our taste buds on! And the burger styles are unique and fun! The breakfast burger is a great choice with eggs and bacon and don't leave out the grape jelly!(: the sweet potato fries are delicious also! Don't worry, the food isn't the only thing that made this trip spectacular- the service was GRAND! Our waitress was so nice and welcoming to us being visitors. She pointed us out many cool things to do on our trip and and we got to visit with the manager as well, and he was also very welcoming and thanked us for stopping by! This place was do yummy, I think we might be planning a second trip before we leave this week! (:

Mug Shots Bar & Grill Few things get me as giddy as the symphonic sound of a baseball being struck by the sweet spot of a bat, the melodious sound of a southern girl's accent and hearing the words "Massively Huge Burgers". Well, Mug Shots can boast two out of the three. They have been voted best burger in Mississippi since...(well according to the banners on the wall), 2007 and every year since. It's not just the gargantuan half-pound choice patties they use; it's actually all about the buns. (Yes, to quote the lyrical genius Sir Mix-A-Lot), their buns "look like one of those rap guys girlfriends!" A toasted sourdough bun...served with Brew City's beer battered fries. There are more choices of burgers than Anthony Wiener sexting pictures floating out there, from the Peanut Butter Burger to the Big Kahuna and even the Pizza Burger. Go order a huge burger and tell me if you don't melt from the flavors and the incredibly sexy accent from your server.

Great place, the burgers are great and they get really creative with them. I've been dozens of times and I've yet to have a complaint.

Awesome place. The service was excellent, the food is great, no complaints at all. If you're looking for great food, especially a burger, and polite upbeat people, this is the place to go.

The burger I had was not good. Really, I've cooked better ones at my house. You're pretty much going here for the atmosphere, which I really didn't care for much. It kinda reminded me of a Chuck E Cheese burger joint. Of course I'm from the west coast, we've got In N Out, Habit, Nations, burgers out here are on a different level.

The bomb! I had the huevos rancheros burger. It was really big and really good. Quality beef. Not too greasy. The guacamole was freshly made. The sweet potatoe fries were really good also. The three people i was with all loved their burgers also. Good prices. Friendly staff. Winner.

This is a pretty good burger joint. Variety of burgers, differing mostly by toppings. Bun is standard cisco systems stuff. Patty is of your typical frozen 1/4 lbs seasoned-in-a-safe-way-definitely-nothing-special variety (even a little lean for my tastes). They do offer a turkey burger and a vegetarian option which are both fair in taste and consistency. Fries are pretty good but still nothing special. Also, don't try the PB&J burger. Seems great, but it's a trap! The first location I visited was in Hattiesburg and then I tried the Biloxi location after moving to the coast. Food is about the same, however this Biloxi location is significantly less well managed (e.g. floors frequently dirty, service is slow - averaged over several visits). They brag about being frequently voted "best burger in MS," but I've definitely experienced much better burgers in the area, let alone the entire state. Someone must be on the payroll...

For as long as I can remember, I have not been a burger fan. I loved in an out in California but I just never thought that a restaurant could have good burgers. We lived in Mississippi over 5 months before we tried Mugshots out, DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE. Go NOW. Parking: Located across from the Edgewater mall in the same strip mall as the dollar tree/Ashley furniture, there is tons of parking. Ambiance & Seating: As far as dives go, this is a great open space, with lots of seating. Lots of TV's and air conditioning which is a must in super hot Mississippi. What we ordered: We never order anything but burgers, however, We have literally had every burger on the menu and we are both so proud to tell you, order ANY burger, you won't be disappointed. Each juicy delicious burger patty is nestled between sweet hawaiian buns and topped with whatever toppings you'd like. UGH, so good. What you SHOULD order: My personal favorite is stus magic mushroom and my husbands favorite is da big cheese. But you really cannot go wrong here. The fries are always cooked to perfection and the onion rings are divine! There have been weeks where we have ordered burgers to go 2-3x in a row. No shame, its seriously that good! Service: My only issue with this place is the service. In all the 20+ times we've gone, weather its to dine in our take out, it always feels as though there are too many people working but not enough people doing anything at all. The service is always so slow and if the food weren't so good, I would be so irritated. I miss you mugshots, I miss you so much!

Smoke smoke and more smoke! The joint looks like a cafeteria and is a bit low rent! Tried to order a burger but the smell of smoke was so bad I had to leave also random dirty children were loose and running through the restaurant! Will never return!!

Great burgers! The variety is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. The shakes are small but tasty. Keeping the cup from your soft drinks is a nice touch.

Breakfast burger is delicious! But really, you can't go wrong with any burger. The Pow Pow Shrimp is a great appetizer. I get it almost every time I come here. The happy hour is great, and there's lots of beers to choose from. Burgers are huge so bring an appetite!

    (5)
  • Tim M.

Used to be great, but lately (past few months) the burgers have been dry and overcooked, made incorrect compared to what was ordered, and in general quality seems lesser than it used to be (greasier fries, not as fresh lettuce with brown spots, etc.) I wish this place would wake up and be what it used to be before it is too late.

    (3)
  • Jonathan B.

My wife and I spent over $60 on two meals, appetizer, and drinks. We asked if they had a military discount and the did. When we got the check we saved 40 cents! It would be less insulting if they had no discount. After talking with the manager he confirmed there was no mistake... I will not be back!

This place is huge for a burger joint. Can't remember what was here prior but whatever it was it is a large dining area. Let me say first of all that the service was great!! I'm not a huge service reviewer b/c I'm not one to complain. Service is always ok to excellent for me. Went here for lunch today with the family and we all ordered burgers. Dad and sister had McDonald burgers (really that's what they call them), Mom had the Reiss burger, nephew had the peanut butter burger, and I had Rob's 3 cheese burger. They say the McDonald's burger is the best of the bunch but it wasnt all that. The peanut butter burger was awesome but any burger with peanut butter is bound to be awesome right? I'd recommend either The Project Lounge or Backyard Burger but if you can't make it to either one of those Mugshots isn't all that bad.

Came here for lunch on a recommendation. I ordered the breakfast burger. It came with a fried egg, bacon, and cheese. I asked the waitress how they typically cook the burgers. Her response, "um, the burgers are pre made frozen patties, so we have to cook them a little more than a regular burger." Well...ok. I didn't have high expectations upon coming here in the first place, but that response just sealed the low expectation deal. When the burger came out, I pulled off the top bun to reveal one see-through-thin, limp, uncooked, and soggy piece of bacon. I asked the waitress if she could get me some more bacon. She came out about 5 mins later with 4 additional pieces of see-through-thin, limp, uncooked, soggy bacon. Most definitely the same bacon you can find in the freezer section of your local grocery store; microwaveable bacon or...bacon blasphemy. I set the bacon aside and took a bite of my now lukewarm manufactured meat burger. Meh. Definitely not the best burger in Mississippi. If I wouldn't have had an honest waitress and that terrible bacon I might have given it 3 stars. The atmosphere might be nice to grab a few beers and eat some greasy snacks during a game. Other than that, not worth the time.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A REVIEW ON FOOD! ok now that that was stated i can give my review: Came here looking for a good burger joint but my husband and I ended up leaving before we even sat down. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the hostess berateing what I assume to be the hostess in training, asked for a table for 2 with room for a car seat. Hostess asked if we would like a high chair to place the seat to which I said no. Hostess brought chair anyways and when we got to our table and I placed my baby in a regular chair she rudely said "fine whatever" and stomped away. This hostess did not even give us our menus or wait for us to be seated, just rudely walked away. So my husband and I took that as a sign of the lousy service that was to come since the hostess is the face of the restaturant and left. On the way out hostess rolled her eyes but said nothing

The chicken is usually undercooked. Now when we go we just ask that they burn it to make sure we don't get sick. I don't think they understand the concept that chicken is either cooked or Raw no in the middle like steak. The rolls come out of the microwave. The skin (if u will) of the bread is always wrinkled and the edges are hard as a rock. The "Cajun" chicken pasta is tasteless. I have considered bringing my own seasonings in a ziplock bag for some flavor. They have good French fries but that's it. Atmosphere is nonexistent but that wouldn't be an issue if the food was good.

Was an extremely good burger. It was about a 30 min drive from where I live and I will be coming back again and again. I especially loved their pickle chips as an appetizer. I can't wait until next time to try more things!!

I prefer the Hattiesburg location... Service is just ok... But ambiance feels like a cafeteria. Veggie burger is good, as for the regular burger.. I've had better. Not a place to go to for the health conscious.

Claim to be the best burger winner year after year, but not sure who they are running against. Every burger I ordered here came out overcooked. Don't ask what temperature if you are just going to make them all well done. The place is huge and seems to have trouble grasping the management of it all. We saw countless parties arrive after us and get the same food long before us. When we did get ours, it came in spaced out waves. There seem to be a lot of employees, but they seem lost, kinda special. They have some creative burger creations, but again, make sure they cook it right. I even got really cold fries, which made me wonder how long it sat under the warmer before coming out.

Burgers are good. Overcooked but good. I had the pineapple teriyaki rib burger or something like that and I loved it. Washed it down with $1.50 glass of beer too. Definitely a place to grab a bite/lunch. Not a place that I would recommend if you are trying to have a nice date. My only question is why are the floors so slippery? I was wearing running sneakers and I was afraid that I was going to fall at some point. Anyone know the reason??

I was in Biloxi this week for work. After going to Mississippi for the last dozen years I was excited to try the "Best Burger in MS" for something like six straight years. Uh, no. If this was the best burger then Mississippi wouldn't be the fattest state in the country. I started with some fried pickles, which were decent but a little too greasy and soggy. I followed that with the peanut butter burger. Waaaaayyy over cooked. Almost charred in some areas. I paid extra for two tiny, limp, tasteless pieces of bacon. The service wasn't great either. I asked for ketchup but never got it so I just left without eating my fries, which looked pretty good. I would honestly recommend eating at the Wendy's next door over this.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was on the inside given that it's located in what's essentially a nearly vacant strip mall. The place is much bigger than I thought on the inside. There are tables and booths, and pool tables in the back. The servers are quite nice and the food was surprisingly better than expected. Apparently the burgers here have been voted Best in Mississippi every year since 2007 by Mississippi Magazine or something like that. The burgers were good, but I would be depressed if these burgers are the best in the entire state. Overall, if you're in the mood for a burger but not one of those fast food burgers, Mugshot's is a place worth going to. A few complaints though - their sweet potato fries weren't that good. Also, although we were sat in the non-smoking section, we could still breath smoke.

By far the best burger I have EVER had. I don't think I could stress this enough. I ate there just three hours ago, and I'm still in a food coma. I decided to order the Comeback burger (sauce on the side) while the rest of my table ordered the Savell with a wheat bun, the breakfast burger, and the Stu's Magic Mushroom. We all got regular fries and sweet potato fries with our burgers and they were both great. First off, the burgers are MASSIVE! Usually "half pound" burgers shrink substantially after being cooked from all the fat cooking out, but I have a feeling this burger really was half a pound cooked. The burger meat was cooked perfectly. It wasn't chewy or filled with gristle, which is usually my problem with most burgers. The bun was fantastic. It was slightly sweet, but matched perfectly with the meat. I'm not sure if they bake it themselves, but it was fresh and soft. I tried some of the wheat bun and it tasted very similar. I could have easily eaten the wheat bun and not noticed much difference. The comeback sauce was pretty good too. The server described it as being similar to 1000 Island dressing. I'm usually not a fan of 1000 Island so I got it on the side. It tasted similar to 1000 island dressing, but was a smooth sauce without all the crunchy bits in it. I actually ended up liking it. There were a few things I'd like to comment on though. The pepper jack cheese wasn't really like the pepper jack cheese I'm used to. It wasn't even a tiny bit spicy. If the menu hadn't said pepper jack, I would've assumed it was white american cheese. It was good, just not what I expected. The onion ring was barely noticeable, kind of hidden by the meat. It only comes with one onion ring, so I'm not too surprised. There were a few bites that I tasted it, and it tasted good. Lastly, the bacon was pretty thin; it reminded me of microwaveable bacon. I don't really mind it, but with such a big burger, it'd be nicer to have thicker bacon. The toppings on the Comeback burger were essentially buried by the burger meat. I do like my burger to be the main star, but I'd also like my toppings to be a part of it too. I'd probably order a different burger next time. It seemed like the breakfast burger and mushroom burger had a fair share of toppings, but I didn't taste them so I couldn't say. I got so excited about the burger I almost forgot to comment on the environment and service! Our server was good, but nothing to write home about. She did her job, was very friendly, and wasn't overbearing. We were never left waiting for anything so that was nice. The restaurant itself is very large. We ended up being sat in a booth next to the drink station for the servers. I initially thought it'd be annoying, but it didn't bother us at all. I almost forgot that the drink station was behind me. Overall, I completely understand why they've been voted Mississippi's best burger for the past few years. They are incredible! I wish they had a location in Texas, so I could eat there more often!

Only three stars since this was our 1st visit. I guess I am getting more, um, critical, on my ratings. Turn this review into a drinking game. Drink every time you read the word BURGER. Fun for the whole family. I had the burger with shrooms, sure don't remember the name. Stu's Magic Mushroom? Yeah that's it! Let's rename it to RADNESS. Wife had the Trevor's 1000 Island Burger. My burger had a kick ass smokey flavor. The sautee'd shrooms, and the other goodness on it wanted me to call my dad and tell him to F off for grilling us lame ass burgers when we were growing up. My wife's burger had more of a straight forward 'burger' taste. When you go to a burger joint and each burger's patty has different flavors based on the theme of the burger, you know you are at a good place. Her 1000 Island burger was delicious as well. The fries are good, just try them. Onion rings, same thing. VERY worth a try. Only bumm a roo ski was we weren't asked how we wanted our burgers cooked. Either our waitress fumbled that one or they default to med/well. Not a fan of med/well burgers but I still liked it. Not sure why I didnt ask for a med burger (which I dig), but I didnt, so OH WELL. Just GO TRY IT. Oh and they need to clean their windows if you sit in a booth by the front windows.

Decent strip mall restaurant. Burger was good and huge. Biloxi is a sad town and this is one of the few bright spots

Burgers are the best! Wings and salads are great too. Service is decent but could improve. Don't forget fries. Sweet or regular. You won't be disappointed. Ps if you don't like your burger cooked make sure to request that they do it how u like. ( they come med well)

My husband has tried all but two of the burgers and loves them all. Being a vegetarian myself, their one veggie burger is decent, but what I really love is the sweet potato fries. They have a lot of great beers on tap. We come to Mugshots almost every weekend with friends and its always a good time.

I ordered the $20 mugshot burger and tried to eat it in 15 minutes to win and get it free - its like a fun eating game gamble.. but they cheated. The meat wasnt cooked all the way and the MEAT was MOOSHY like it was raw! I got sick and couldnt finish it. They made it so disgusting and undercooked that it was like eating a pile of garbage and I can't believe I even attempted this.. blew $20. The chef is horrible.

It's ok. I don't know how it's the "Best Burger in Mississippi". We ordered some cheese wedges which seemed wayyyy over over cooked. Burgers are huge but seem too charred at times. The onion rings were meh. I'd stick with the fries, they are pretty awesome. I think the buns could be a tad thinner. Like someone else said, "upgrading" to bacon is a bad idea. Not worth it. The pizza burger is surprisingly awesome. Service is decent as long as they are not terribly busy. Try to get a table close to the front windows, if not, you'll get hints of cig smoke from the smoking section.

Decent food for decent prices. Nothing on the menu will blow you away, but the service is good and the bar area is a nice place to be.

5 Star burger, potato salad & service. Wasn't impressed with smoke smell or dirty floors. The chips & sweet potato fries were a little soggy. Could have used a bigger portion of rotel. I would definitely go back for the burger & salad!

hey I'm writing this review right now while sitting with a friend to watch the game Europe semi-final foot ball.... its a very unique venue for sure cannot say the average age for the patrons it varies but for sure can tell the bar is dive bar man ppl sitting around me either they are on something or I don't know what!! but they look strange the management should profile the guests from the door how they dress i just seen a drunken girl not more than 19 yrs old waking in with bikini top and skirt and she was drunk !!!!! food was great had nachos& salsa and burger with fries theT.v screens all every where which make it the perfect hang out for sport events and games !!!!!

Yikes. Sysco burgers with a myriad of ingredients on them. Smoking in bar area bleeds into dining room and a wait staff that struggles with order modifications.

If I wanted a restaurant depot meal, I could have stopped on my way to Biloxi. So first, if you are serving quality products there is no reason to cook everything to medium well and even put it on the menu. Second, this place has a strange attraction to mayonnaise - it must be put on everything - so if you order something plain - fair warning to remind them that it means no mayo. Chips and salsa is straight from the pace bottle and chilled straight from the fridge - even I heat it up a bit and add some things to it! The chips are about half the correct portion but at least there was no mayo! The burgers were if course cooked medium well even though we requested they not be brown through and were directly from the box with a bum way to thick for the human jaw unless trained by lots of gum chewing. Take half the bun off and it is much better. Fries are fries. Service is correct and un eventful. Decor is in par with the high school cafeteria with the addition of televisions, industrial carpet and exposed drink stations. The back looked more fun with a pool table and dimmer light. Overall I would give it a "meh" rating. My son loved his cheeseburger.

I actually ate at the Mugshots in Hattiesburg earlier this weekend -- I reviewed it too if you're interested. This one was just as good! The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The sweet potato fries are some of the best I've ever had. A very light batter makes them crispy, but they're wide enough that they still have a strong sweet potato taste. For starters we got the fried mushrooms again. Yum! There was a fried pickle that snuck in both times and it was awesome, both times. Service was fast and attentive (I've read complaints that service is slow or it takes too long to get food, but on a slower mon afternoon it wasn't bad at all). Very cheap beer with a decent selection (too bad they don't have that awesome strawberry beer they had in Hattiesburg). Oh, and the bun is a fluffy sweet bread which really makes the burger taste even better. Great food, good service. There is a little smoke in the restaurant that bleeds over from the bar area, but it's not too bad. I'm sure the smokers like having a bar they can still go to and smoke at, since it's outlawed almost everywhere else.

good burgers, wings, and salads. Stopped here for a late lunch and enjoyed ourselves. A large step up from a regular fast food joint, but definitely not the best burger I have ever eaten. Also for having 33 beers on tap, I wish there would have been a real selection. Coors, Miller, Bud and the alike do not constitute selection.

If you want a great burger with a variety of options this is definitely the place to go! I still miss being near a Cheeseburger In Paradise restaurant, but Mugshots is pleasantly comparable, if not in ambience then definitely in burger quality and choices!

When i saw this review i got really really upset, especially with mugshots only having a 3 star rating. Grant it ive only been here once but that one time was VERY VERY good. I went with a group of probably 20 people and we had two servers, and it was good service. I know atleast half the table got beer and she was always there to keep them up to date with whatever they needed. The kid next to me tried the mugshot challenge and made it fun. The place was extremely clean which is a HUGE bonus for a bar type resturant.. I myself got the McDonald and thought it was aboslutely delicous, the fries were awesome and the burger was just as good. I also got the fried mushrooms (since i havent had any since i was in pittsburgh) and they were also AMAZING. I shared some fried pickles with one of the girls and those too were delicious. So out of everything I loved absolutely everything about the place, nice atmosphere, good service, better food.

Last time i was in town dad and I decided to get a quick bite as it was later than lunch and we were still going to dinner. Instead of going to Bernie's dad suggested this new eatery and though I was hesitant I went along with it. The dining area of this place is HUGE! I'm not 100% but i think it used to be the sports pub. The menu, mostly bar food, lots of fried and the usual suspects. I think we just got chips and queso and another appetizer i can't remember (never a good thing). It was mediocre at best in the world of coast cuisine it's the typical "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality towards cuisine. The service was very good though. Attentive without being intrusive.

Very average. I asked for nachos without jalapenos and they came with them I will say they took them back without complaint and had them back in a flash without. They did make a great magarita. Waiter was very pleasant.

It was good...not sure about "The best burger in mississippi" as they claim. And I understand they are a burger place, but a little more variety would be good. You can have a burger, a sandwhich, or a salad. Add some variety. But good atmosphere, and the food was good...HUGE servings really, I dont know who can eat a salad that big (I had the buffalo chicken salad...a bit spicy but good).

I only lived in MS for about 4 months but I went to Mugshots 4 times. I had the breakfast burger twice because its delicious and I love a fried egg on a burger. One of the times I got it the egg was a little overcooked and not as runny as I like but it was still tasty. I had the Gamble which is basically a chili burger and while it was super messy it was super delicious. I also had the Comeback burger which was pretty good but probably my least favorite. Needed more comeback sauce. I also got the fried pickles twice and they were pretty good. All of the burgers come on thick slices of grilled sourdough bread which makes the burger tastier in my opinion. The burgers are cooked well but they pack so much flavor that I can overlook that. I had bites of the peanut butter burger and pizza burger from my friends and those were both amazing. The peanut butter burger is delicious and it sounds crazy but you have to try it. Overall the burgers are huge for the prices and most of them are delicious. I have never tried anything else on the menu so I can't vouch for there other food. They have a good selection of beers on tap and it's pretty reasonably priced too. They have "happy hour" pricing during certain hours as well which is nice. The service I received each time I was here was pretty good. I actually had the same waitress the first two times and she was nice and attentive. The third time I went here I had Graham and he was awesome so I requested him for the fourth time. Very attentive, polite and great to talk to. Overall if you have the opportunity to try Mugshots I would definitely give it a shot.

Guinness, Peroni, Shock Top and an endless variety of other outstanding beers on tap make mug shots a must visit for the beer drinking fool. Happy hour drafts are a great deal. A couple of pool tables and an American shuffleboard table along with quite a few flat screens will keep you occupied. As for the food. Each Po Boy/ Sandwich and hamburger that I had, were all above average. Their menu leaves you with many options. Overall, when you're craving a beer and a burger on a Monday or Hump day to take a break from the bustle of your week, Mugshots is a great place to visit.

After reading other reviews about the poor service and bad food I almost pulled out the parking lot of mugshot's and said forget it. However, my kids threw a fit when I started pulling out because they were hungry. So we ate there and I'm glad we did. The food was amazing. The chicken tenders were the best I've had on the Coast, and the burger was also the best I've had on the Coast. The service was - believe it or not - the best I've had on the Coast. Now obviously this won't happen every time, but I had a girl who must have had OCD or perhaps thought me and my kids were cute, because she visited my table every 3 minutes to check on us. This might have bothered some people but I loved it cuz my boys are always needing something else. There was even an instance when I told my son I'd ask for a booster seat and forgot, and my son yelled at me "you forgot to ask her for a booster seat". Well, sure enough, she comes back with the booster seat and said she "overheard" the request. I'm going back there many times.

Decided to return to Mugshots after craving a burger. Took a booth at the bar were it was so dimly lit that I couldnt read the menu, had to take my menu to the game room to read it. As Steve noted the service was excellent. Our server Courtney checked on us numerous times during our visit and was on top of her game! We ordered the delicious fried mushrooms for App's a side salad and a burger. Was dissapointed in the mushrooms, they werent golden like the one's during our first vist although they were still moist and delicious. My side salad was very large for the price and was a variety of iceberg, dark greens and spinach. There were no whole veggies though just diced tomatos and onions but still not bad for the price. I couldnt help but notice after I ordered my burger that our server didnt ask how I wanted my burger cooked. After inquring about it she replied that all burgers come either medium or medium well. My burger patty was a huge half pound patty with a soft bun but light on the crumbled blue cheese. My biggest dissapointment was the burger was a little overcooked and very dry! It still amazes me when steakhouse and burger joints ruin a great cut of meat by overcooking it. I also was dissapointed in the fries, guess I was expecting fresh cut instead of soggy greasy frozen ones. The sweet tea is very good cause I drank a ton of it. I would return to try their burgers again if they didnt overcook them.

My association just had a luncheon here at Mugshots. We had 17 people attend. We all were given separate checks as requested (That's a big task), All our orders were brought to the table in a timely manner and no errors were noted. An 18% tip was added to the tab but that was just fine by me because the service was excellent. (drinks kept full, chips topped off) The fries were excellent, as were the burgers. The atmosphere was open and bright. The smokers in my group all went outside to smoke but a smoking section is available inside the restaurant. The 3pm crowd was non-existent today so we had the whole restaurant to ourselves which was good because we got a bit loud. The sweet tea is very very sweet so order 1/2 and 1/2 when getting tea. 4 stars given because this restaurant was worth going to.
