I love their Butterfish dish so much I planned our dinner here just so I could have it! The Mississippi roll was also my fav. Don't skip desserts, they are delicious as well as beautifully plated. Very accommodating staff who took good care of us. Don't miss it!

It has been awhile since I've been to JIA. We decided to go some where we haven't been in a while. First thing that came in mind was BUTTERFISH! Flaky tender melt in your mouth like butter fish! WOW!!! Must try it! Bubblegum roll was delish! Scallop dynamite was incredible. Scallops sitting on top of a California roll was presented very well! Not but least the service was incredible!! SCOTTY CU is who you want to make your experience only the BEST!

I saw Jia had Pho soup on their menu so I had to stop by for my Pho fix. It was okay, nothing to write home about. The Pho needed more flavor and better quality of beef. Also had the chicken and shrimp fried rice, again, it was just okay. The service was fine, no complaints there.

Service was excellent food was good but nothing different. The yum yum sauce was wonderful. I usually don't use much of the sauce but this was different and really good.

Service was excellent. Our waitress and the kitchen staff delivered our food promptly and were not hovering. The food, however, was vastly overpriced, the portions were meagre, and the food itself aside from the egg roll, was no better than available off-the-menu at any Chinese restaurant anywhere else. Perhaps the restaurant serves something that is above the cut, but I can only base it on what we had. The egg roll appetizer was fairly decent - nothing spectacular, but better than that typically found in the run-of-the-mill restaurant. We had the Orange Chicken and the Szechuan Beef. The Orange Chicken was not crispy at all, rather flavorless, and could have come off a buffet. The Szechuan Beef had fresh ingredients, but despite the waitress's caveat that it was "spicy", it was actually rather mild and boring. We were hoping for a treat but were disappointed and won't go back. Still searching for good Asian food in the Biloxi area.

The Fuji roll and bubble gum roll were delicious. The calamari was excellent as well! Service was the bees knees and the price was lower than expected to boot Skip the potstickers

Had a late dinner here. Hibachi with scallops. The scallops were very tasty and good sized. The service was great and entertaining. The Husband had steak and it was tasty too. The prices are consistent with any other hibachi place not sure why reviews were complaining about prices. Sushi menu was really expensive but we stuck with the hibachi and dumplings that were very tasty too. Definitely will go back.

Jia is a "hidden gem" in the Beau Rivage. While the Terrace Cafe and The Buffet have long lines and wait times at normal dinner hours, you can pretty much be assured that you won't have to wait to eat at Jia. Excellent service and open to customization of your meal.... I had the steak tips, but was able to get them cooked in the Szechwan sauce to kick it up a notch on the flavor. Meat was cooked exactly as requested and the portion size was generous to ensure the value for the price paid.

The food is pretty good and so our hibachi chef was pretty entertaining. The only problem was he didn't show up until nearly an hour after we were seated. I realize it wasn't his fault but rather the fact that the restaurant was understaffed, especially for a holiday weekend. Considering the prices you pay, this service is unacceptable. On a side note, what is with the prison style stainless steel toilets? Is that some new age style that I am just not aware of? That being said, it's fun having drunken gals having cry sessions in both the male and female bathrooms (one stall each) so no one can get into the bathroom. Yay Biloxi!

Sushi was very good. Saki was delicious. It took us a while to be seated, despite reservations. And our appetizer came after our entree. But, still. Cool atmosphere. Pricey. But nice for a special occasion.

Terrible service. Took almost 30 minutes to get much acknowledgment. Food portions were small and so overpriced. No seasoning on wok choices. Not worth your money. Go next door to hard rock restaurants.

I actually never got to try the food despite very much wanting to eat here. Why? Because once the hostess told us we could wait at the bar for a party of two, she promptly deserted us there. The bartender also knew we were waiting for a table since we were seated at the bar in front of her. After watching three groups (2 of a party of 4, one a party of 2) be seated even though they came in after us & bringing attention to our 30+ minute wait time as well, I left with my companion in disgust. This staff needs either replacement or redemption. There's never an excuse for ignoring paying customers eager to patron your restaurant when competition is fierce. Skip it!

Completely underwhelmed. I've been here a few times in the past and the experience was nothing to write home about but just fine. This time, not so much. First off, there was a hard piece of plastic in my salad. I understand this happens from time to time, even at a supposedly nicer place such as Jia....however for the server to not offer even a free drink or reduced dinner on a bill that was well over $700 before tip is inexcusable. Besides that complete mishap, the chicken lettuce rolls were actually very good and my filet was decent (I could have done without the sauces it was drowned in though). Would I return? I doubt it. There are other restaurants with the Casino such as Stalla which serves above average Italian food.

We sat at the hibachi. I agree with a former reviewer. It was the same song and dance show but he was nice. I got the steak and my husband got the rice. I also got the Atom Bomb roll. The food was extremely good. We ate everything. We were given great portions and were extremely full when we left. Yes it was a little overpriced but your eating at the Beau Rivage that was to be expected. We would definitely go back when staying here again. The servers were very attentive

The food here was great. The seared tuna was phenomenal. The Imperial shrimp was a let down, although it was good, it wasn't worth the price I paid. Drinks were good. Service was below average. There was a clear lack of communication between the two servers asking me for my age on separate occasions. Oh and I can definitely not forget about the fact that my server forgot to get me my soup. I didn't make a big deal about it, but just wanted to inform all of you that if you order a soup (or anything for that matter) here they might not really care about it. Overall, it had great food, below average service, and a facade of classy with a different reality.

Ate dinner here before leaving to drive back to New Orleans. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but the service was still quite slow. I tried the orange chicken...overpriced and really not that good. Nice atmosphere and friendly service though!

Oh, Jia! How have I not written a review about you? I love how you envelop me with a cool and calming waterfall when I first walk into you. I love how you are so dark and mysterious but yet inviting and romantic at the same time. Although your bathroom creeps me out a little but its all good. Im here for you, Jia, not your ummm "facilities'. Your food is what keeps me coming back. Who cares that I have to drive the hour and 30 minutes to get to you. YOU'RE WORTH IT. Everything I've ever had here have been ah-maze-ing!!!!!!! From the once special Osso Bucco to the filet and prawns. I love the creme brulee, even though it's tinted green. LOL. LOVES the "young yellowtail" sushi. I think thats what it's called. The sample appetizers are awesome , as well as the lobster roll thingy. ANYWAYS, I LOVE YOU, JIA. Please dont ever do me wrong or I will trash you! XOXO, A.T.

*Warning* Extremely overprice! We had a dinner at Jia because we saw they had good Vietnamese foods on the menu and the place looked very nice. The service was great too but the food tasteed just ok and extremely overprice. Don't waste your money unless you won big from playing and don't know what to do. We was about to order Pho and some Vietnamese foods. But the waitress told us the today speical that including lobsters, oysters, crabs, lobsters sauce, veggies, steam rices and it sounded like it had a lot of foods for $36 for one person and $56 (something) for 2 persons and she said the $36 would be enough for 2 persons if you were not very hungry. It sounded very good so we ordered that. We totally disappointed when the dish came out. It was just a small dish with a very small bow of rice. Me and my husband was like "is that all?". And all of the good things she listed was all in one stir-fried dish which included about half of the lobster tail, 1 medium oyster cut into half, FAKE crab sticks and CANNED veggies (mushroom, baby corn). That's it! I can't believe we paid $36 for a dish that had FAKE crab and canned veggies. The portion was so small, we didn't hungry much but it was not enough for both of us like she said. And we didn't know it was stir-fried and she didn't mention it. The dish tasted ok, not great, the lobster was chewy. We paid $60 including tip for that dish and a drink. We sit next to the sushi bar so I saw their sushi rolls was very small and they charge double for it. I know how to make sushi rolls and I can tell their rolls was nothing speical. You can have a better rolls from somewhere else and it might cheaper.

A lot of people have been trashing this place. Get over it. Yes, it's WAY overpriced. Yes, the menu isn't as extensive as you would hope. Yes, if you approach it with the right attitude it is awesome. We met 3 people on our last visit here (we always sit at the bar) that come to Jia every time they visit Biloxi. None of them were even staying at that casino! Despite all the nay sayers here, this place is great. Get the Butterfish, eat it slow with chopstix and enjoy.

I agree with previous reviewers that overpriced food is to be expected at casinos, but this was over the top, especially for what they give you. Most of the dishes only come with steamed rice, which seems ridiculous for the prices they charge. They could at least add some veg. I ordered the beef short ribs with Korean BBQ sauce and was very disappointed. The short ribs were tender- sure- but they were also incredibly bland, and they were plated in a way that the sparse BBQ sauce didn't even make it to every piece of meat. Our waitress quickly brought me extra sauce, which definitely improved the dish, but it was still somewhat bland. Another person in my party ordered the Jia's traditional trio, which came with halibut, butterfish, and a scallop. When (a different) waiter put down the plate, he said "scallops," which would have been fine if there had been more than one. The serving size was so small that others felt guilty testing it. This party member left the restaurant still hungry, and that was after we had all made our dinners "full" by paying an extra nine dollars for miso soup and salad. One other person in our party ordered the duck, which was very good and much bigger than anyone else's dish. If you have to go here, I would recommend the duck. The service was pretty good, but for what you pay, I'd expect more. Poor value for the money.

This is what you would expect for casino Asian dining. Food was okay and yes - it's overpriced. The options are limited at Beau Rivage, so this isn't the worse choice. Was seated at the table side grill with others. There must be a manual for the table side cooks. This is the same act I've seen at all of the places with the onion volcano, the spinning egg etc. It was like watching a rerun, when all I wanted was my food. On the positive, I didn't feel like I was in the casino with the Asian decor.

I didn't even give one star ,it is walmart of the sushi bars..zero quality..elementary school children can roll a sushi better. I don't recommend to no one.. Chefs cocky not friendly, when you ask not include cream cheese they get offended. Big no no..

Came to beau rivage on the fly. Wanted a classy dressy restaurant since I'd been consuming alcohol, more alcohol, and blah-this-food-is-only-good-because-I'm starving-and-drunk meals at the casino. The ambience is warm and peaceful. Stark contrast to the casino floor for sure. So that's a star. I had a signature drink, coconut silk (I know, know alcohol... But I needed a drink upgrade too!), which was Divine if youre a fan of coconut and vodka. Plus 1 star. I tried the spicy shrimp app, which is similar to bonefish's bang-bang shrimp. It had good flavor, but there was something amiss. My body ached for some green so I had a mixed greens salad with their ginger dressing. It fit my taste and craving but nothing spectacular. Lastly, I had the crunchy roll with crab salad, tempura, and smoked salmon. Yum. Keep in mind, I like sushi but I am not a connoisseur, I appreciate the textures, flavors, and combination of food rolled into one. If it tastes good and feels good it is a winner. I think it had a bit too much rice though. To sum, the food was appetizing but not stellar, and definitely not enough to lure me back for a whole entree, especially given the taste to price ratio. Trust, i dont mind dropping some dough on excellent food. Another star. If I could give a half star I'd add 1/2 for service...on the slow side and a little too nonchalant. "fancier" restaurants should be synonymous with outstanding, on time service, not " just ok", am I right?! Yes. Jia is a superb alternative to what's offered at the BR, so if you're Jonesing for something different and haven't drained your wallet, I'd go for it. After all, do guests of casinos really ever enter the outside world for food? :)

There's more to a good restaurant than good food. In Jia's case, great food is hampered by poor service. My wife and I made reservations for 6:45 but weren't seated until 7. Our waiter was largely devoid of any personality and was incredibly slow. We ordered drinks, two appetizers, a sushi roll, and we each ordered a main dish. My glass of wine took 15 minutes to get to my table - that turned out to be the harbinger of things to come. Our appetizers took 30 minutes, the sushi 40 minutes, and the main courses 55 minutes. During this time, our waiter only dropped by twice (the appetizers and main courses were dropped off by someone else). The sushi was delicious. I had the potstickers which were pretty good and extremely well presented. My wife had the shrimp and avocado salad which she said was good, but a little heavy on the onions. Our main courses, Szechuan beef for me and seared scallops for my wife, were both delicious. All this good food was offset by unfortunately s...l...o...w service.

Id give it 3 and 1/2 stars if I could; and OK so ya maybe this place is a little over priced for what it is.. but your not paying for just the food. Your paying for a fine dining experience; and if you aren't willing to shell out fine dining prices than this place isn't for you. Food though is good its a traditional hibachi. Best advice I could give you is if you want fine dining on a budget.. and you just have to eat here.. order a hibachi.. order chicken (less expensive ) and pass on the alcohol... that will raise your bill like crazy. but expect to at least spend 30 per person... and Remember your eating in a RESORT.. its just automatically more expensive.

The most fitting phrase I can find to describe this restaurant is "highway robbery." Let's start with the appetizers. $9 for a simple bowl of edamame, as in boiled soybeans. I can understand if they took the beans and did something unique with them, but they were simply sprinkled with sea salt. Moving on. $8 for a cup of miso soup, and $9 for a simple green salad. This would be fine if they tasted unique and different in any way from the much less expensive miso and salad I eat at my usual sushi spots on the east coast, but this wasn't the case. Because we were with a large party, we got to sample quite a few of the appetizers, and I wasn't particularly impressed with any of them- pretty tasteless and forgettable. This was my first sign that things were going downhill. Let's move on to the sushi. Because all of the sushi/sashimi pieces were RIDICULOUSLY overpriced ($7 for two tiny pieces of salmon?), we opted to share a california roll and splurge on a spicy crawfish roll. I have worked in a sushi restaurant for two years, and I think I have a pretty firm grasp of good sushi. This sushi was not good. Our california roll was 80% rice and lacked in both ingredients and flavor. Keep in mind, this was a $9 california roll (since they only consist of crabstick avacado and cucumber they are usually priced around $4), so I was expecting it to blow my mind. Our spicy crawfish roll was also disappointing, especially considering it was $15. We sampled a few pieces of sashimi that our friends ordered, which were (again) pretty tasteless and forgettable. For our meal, we split the Singapore Curry Infused Rice Vermicelli (under the "entree" section, for the record). This was, too, a huge disappointment, completely lacking in any flavor. A simple noodle stir fry that tasted like mediocre Chinese takeout. So tasteless that I had to drench it in soy sauce. For $24, I felt like I had been swindled. I tasted my friend's pad thai, which was equally as bad. "I do say, I've been had!" I thought to myself (using a ridiculous British accent) upon finishing my meal. The sesame seed cookie at the end of the meal was tasty, and the server was very nice and attentive. Other than that, I was extremely disappointed. This place will screw you out of your money and give you sub-par food in return. Our bill came to over $80 for two drinks, two sushi rolls and a single entree- good Lord! I don't mind spending good money on really great food, but this was way, way below the mark. Skip tourist traps like this and give your money to local, non-corporate seafood spots in town.

Eh! Maybe it's because I live in California but this place did nothing for me. The restaurant was beautiful, very modern. The service was mediocre for a time when there weren't many patrons. For the price I paid for sushi I expected better. Next time I'm in Biloxi, I'm gonna pass on this place.

It's just ok. I had the Misoyaki Glazed Butterfish - never had this so i gave it a shot. The fish itself was quite good; however, the high fructose glaze was quite the deal breaker. The presentation was nice, but the plates were somewhat decorated which distracted the execution. Friendly staff certainly helped bump it up a star - amazingly friendly. I'd come back, but I recommend trying BR Prime over this.
