excellent service, great food, romantic atmosphere and a nice wine selection. My only complaint was that there was no background music. A little music would have gone a long way....

Good service and atmosphere for my first visit. Will do again. Price was good. Tried mushrooms, Calamari and a shrimp/ crab pasta dish that was great.

Had the Seafood Pomodore. Very good even though got a couple of gritty clams. Member of dinner party had allergies and they were very accommodating. Portions were generous and food was good. Service was also good.

Very nice atmosphere! Good service! Food was pretty good too. I had eggplant parmigiana & my husband had shrimp parmigiana. I thought the red sauce was a little too bitter for me (I like it sweeter) but everything was delicious! It came with a delicious house salad! The prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend it. It's located in the IP casino.

The Good - From the appetizer menu we had the Steamed Clams which were very good. My husband ordered the sampler platter to split between us. It came with 4 items, Calamari (good), Gulf Coast Bread (very good) and Meatballs (awful, dry and bland) and Bruschetta (soggy and way too much balsamic vinegar). They have a good selection of $25.00 wines which is a plus. The service was really good; very attentive and friendly. The complimentary salad and bread basket with tomato/olive oil dipping sauce were great. If they could fix the meatballs and Bruschetta I think a couple could make a nice meal with the above and call it a night. The bad - We both ordered Frutti de Mare pomodoro as our entree' - We chose this because we wanted to eat some what lite since we had all the bread and appetizers. This had an overwhelming taste of Pirnot (licorice) and all of the seafood was just simply over cooked. They only thing I could eat were the Shrimp and pieces of fish and they were tough. The Squid was like eating rubber bands. I do not recommend this entree' at all. I would go back because I hear their pizzas are good. I have also heard that Matt Kolinakos from Thirty-two is consulting with the chef's at the other restaurants and he is truly a talented Chef. I'm going to wait another few weeks and try Costa Cucina again. Stay tuned for updates.

The food itself was 2/5 stars, but we had Miguel as our server as other reviewers. He made our night which added 1 more star since he was fantastic. The food seemed to have excessive salt and tasted pre-made from the "microwave" kitchen. We had calamari, house salad, tortellini with bolognese, and chicken Marsala. The calamari was good, the house salad consisted of wilted iceberg lettuce with powdered Parmesan cheese by Kraft (you could get better salad at Olive Garden). The bolognese was salty and seemed out of a can, and the chicken Marsala was also salty that was a small portion. We saw their oven roasted pizza that looks pretty good. If we go back, we will try their pizzas. We had better Italian elsewhere that was cheaper with larger portions. Overall, we would probably be the pizza to bring us back. Stalla was much better at the Beau. It is questionable for an upscale Italian restaurant not to have osso buco?!?!

This is an Italian Restaurant located in the Lobby of the Imperial Palace Casino. I would have given it 2 stars but the service was beyond excellent, but even great service couldn't help this food. The salad was wilted, and my Chicken Parmesan was mushy and not much flavor. My wife's Pork Loin was good. Reasonably priced our dinner was less than $35 Might go back and try the oven baked pizza. I believe this replaced the Carnivale de Brasil. Apparently they kept the same chef as their rating was 3 1/4 stars

Ok, the 4 stars is for their pizzas, service and atmosphere. Ate here twice so far. The restaurant is beautifully furnished with inviting decor and impressive wine storage inside the popular IP casino. I could see this would be a good place for a group or romantic date night. On our first visit we tried some salad, assortment of 3 pastas, 3 pizzas, and 3 dessert with a couple of bottles of pinot noir. The pizza was excellent, came out piping hot and fresh on rustic crispy dough with some nice smokey flavour. It tasted as if they came straight out of a wood fired oven. Wine list is decent too. Although I thought the salad, pasta dishes and dessert could use much improvement, the pizza was good enough to warrant a 2nd visit; this time I sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of glasses of bubbly along with an appetizer and 2 pizzas. Service was attentive and efficient. The pizza was enjoyable once again, but they could have gone a bit easy on cheese, because too much cheese can make the pizza greasy and heavy. Overall I would definitely return for more pizza.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
