This is one of the best KFC's I've ever eaten. First, the employees are friendly and exceptionally helpful. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly. We've had some lousy service and food at the Houston KFC. Thank you, for the great dinner and service. We will drive from Houston to West Plains to eat for now on!

I have been going to El Charo for over 10 years. I have never had a bad meal. Food is delicious. Chips and salsa are a delicious start to every meal. The El Charo fajitas are a favorite of mine. If you're extremely hungry, the Special Dinner is excellent. I have numerous friends from out of town and they always want to go to El Charo.

The best Mexican food outside of Mexico! Fabulous chef, great servers, love the atmosphere. Plan on waiting in line but it's worth it.
We were traveling from Kansas City to Memphis and needed something good to eat. Found El Charro on yelp crossed our fingers and took the chance. To our delight , it truly was authentic mexican food. I loved the molcajete mexicano and the service was great. We definitely will stop on our way back.
Hands down my ultimate favorite place to eat. Cozy atmosphere and damn good food. The best food. Has a bar.

Not bad at all. Typical country buffet, but pretty well done. Salads were crisp and lots of options. Standard entrees and sides, such as fried and baked chicken, fried fish, pot roast, carved turkey, sirloin, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, turip greens, beans, corn, etc. were average and fresh. Dessert bar was decent. Service was efficient. I think they have a limited menu you can special order from, but most everyone just gets the buffet. The mens room needs a major re-do........old and grimy looking.

Wow, what a gem! I had dinner here recently and it was a wonderful meal. Cafe 37 is indeed in an old opera house located in the adorable court square in small town West Plains. The interior is beautiful and the upstairs is definitely worth a visit. Service was friendly and attentive. Cafe 37 has a great selection of cocktails and wine, and also features drink specials. For dinner my party started with the spinach dip appetizer and it was very good. For dinner I had the petite filet with smashed redskin potatoes and fresh vegetables. The steak was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were delicious and the fresh vegetables were fantastic. If you live in the area of are traveling through, Cafe 37 is must try!
I only sat at the bar for an hour or so, but the ambiance of the place is unexpected for a town like West Plains. The bartenders were unprepared for drinks like Manhattans or Gibsons, but they were very friendly. I will come back here and explore the entree menu in further visits.
As many other reviewers posted...great ambiance in the Bar area...nice architecture....however.. My main reason to go to a restaurant is the food. This is where the place falls short. I had a Ribeye Steak that was of very poor quality. It was tough and looked like a thin piece of flank steak. The Orchard Salad didn't have much in it from the Orchard. A few small pieces of lettuce. The Chocolate Cake was very good. The problem here is food quality and price point. I eat in many high end restaurants and love to check out the local flavor in the areas I travel to. This place fell way short. It is very overpriced and I have no problem paying high dollar for a great steak. This was about $25 bucks for a piece of beef jerky. This place has great potential but needs a visit from Restaurant Impossible to get it back on track. I won't be back...

This place is supposed to be an old fashioned diner. The food is actually not to bad - when it doesn't show up burned. But cleanliness left something to be deserved. However, the real problem I had with the place was the creepy way the owner treats the largely teenage female staff. Food - adequate Atmosphere - cliched Service - not remarkable I've eaten there several times but after the last display of crude behavior from the owner toward one of his staff, that was enough for me. Never again.
