This Qdoba is the best. The employees are always friendly and the food always tastes great.

I first became aware of Qdoba burritos when I rode my little 49cc motor scooter in the 2007 St. John's Burn Center Poker Run 100+ mile motorcycle tour. (I got some odd looks from the other motorcyclists along the way--and praise from a real tough-looking Harley rider who said, "It takes a lot of guts to do this ride on one of those!") All participants got a coupon for a free burrito, so I stopped in at the one on Battlefield and had it. I liked it, and learned there was one on Sunshine much closer to me, so I've been going pretty regularly since. If you've never had a Qdoba burrito, it's quite a meal. It's an absolutely huge, San Francisco-style burrito full of rice, beans, meat, cheese, salsa, and optional guacamole, among other stuff. (The guacamole costs extra. Some people choose to spend extra money on their avocation; I spend it on avocados.) A Qdoba burrito is more than a lot of people can eat in one sitting; when I took my parents out to Qdoba they had to split one, and when I get them to go I often end up saving part of the burrito to eat later. I tend to favor their shredded beef burrito, though their steak burrito is also very good and even the ground beef is decent if you're on a budget. You can choose between black or pinto beans, and among several different varieties of salsa. Qdoba offers a cardswipe customer loyalty discount program where you get a free burrito or other entree after buying approximately ten. However, they double the points you get per entree on Tuesdays (the traditional slowest day of the week), and I often swing by there on Tuesday nights to snag dinner. Despite what the survey question says, they also offer margaritas (for dine-in only) in addition to beer. They're not bad, though not the best I've ever had either. One big benefit of Qdoba, at least for the Sunshine location, is that they offer FREE WIFI. By the way, have you ever tried getting the phone number for a Qdoba from the Goog411 voice recognition system? If you say "Cue-doba" it has no idea what you mean. I finally figured out what to say, though: "Doba". I have no idea if the Q is supposed to be silent in real life, but Goog411 certainly considers it to be!

Having enjoyed many a Freebids and a few Chipolte burritos down in Texas, trying Qdoba was new for me. It was quite enjoyable but a little more expensive. It was about 2-3 years ago so I don't remember any other details! Random Note: They have a unique frequent visitors program with a plastic swipe card and that gets you different things like chips, queso and free burritos. I've since tossed mine.

I am pleased to see others posting about this Qdoba location being their favorite. It is mine also. I think the customer service is awesome here and their dining room has a cozier feel than other Qdoba locations I've visited. The food doesn't disappoint. Everything tastes fresh and of good quality to me. They offer beer in addition to soft drinks and a small, varied selection of bottled drinks. I'll be honest, to me these burrito chains (Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe's) are all essentially the same. But I enjoy them all. One thing I really like about Qdoba is their email marketing. Several times per year (unrelated to the frequent customer card) they send out coupons for a buy one get one free entree. At that price, it is hard to resist.

The best thing about this location, besides the food obviously, is the staff. Each and every time that I come to this location the workers are courteous, eager to please and all around great. I have been to other locations in the area, and they absolutely suck at customer service, this location however, knows how to perform it perfectly. I'm particularly fond of the 3 taco dinner, but I also enjoy a variety of their burritos (if I have the appetite...they're huge). They have a good selection of beers and Mexican soda as well. Their nachos are good, and the queso to match is delicious.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
