This place might be depressing, but it hits the spot. The plain glazed are plain magic. I would caution you to go inside and buy them though so that you have to face a real person as you make an extremely unwise health decision. I have made the mistake of using the drive thru, and I can assure you that when you don't need to look another human being in the eye as you order, you can easily persuade yourself to get a dozen donuts for just yourself and your zero friends. That said, this place looks like it has been raided by looters in a post apocalyptic world. That is to say it looks like it could be appealing, and yet it is not.

It's really awesome you can see the process of the donuts being made on a conveyor belt. The staff is very friendly and the restrooms are clean. I have to knock off two stars though because nearly every time we go in the tables are filthy. The other big downside is their filled donuts only seem to be about 10% filled and it's not until you've eaten most of it that you finally find the bite or two where the filling is.

A solid doughnut shop. Despite being a national chain, the fact is its the best doughnuts in town. I would prefer to support local businesses, but the local competition isn't up to the challenge. St. George and Ray's are just bad, and Hurts doughnut tries, but is just a second rate knock off of Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland Oregon. So stick to Krispy Kreme. Their plain glazed is like heaven when it's fresh.

No.... just no if someone askes you were a good doughnut place is in springfield, dont send them here. Krispy kream is long over due its welcome. We have 2 better doughnut shops in this town st georges and hurtz. I have never cought on to the crave that makes the people I know like them. We need a dunkin doughnuts in this town to replace krispy kream. Sorry to be harsh but its true

Went here and got a dozen donuts, 3 specialty donuts a regular coffee and 2 iced coffees. Spent 22 bucks. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even got a free glazed doughnut while waiting in line. Seriously, there isn't anything better in this world than a warm krispy kreme glazed doughnut. The chocolate topped cream filed doughnuts were super sweet and so good, cinnamon roll, yum, apple fritter, yum and the list goes on and on. Now I know this isn't a gourmet doughnut shop and there are better doughnuts across the land, however this is Springfield Missouri and these doughnuts taste good. The vanilla iced coffee was soooooooooooo strong. I had to add about 8 packs of splenda and 12 creamers. It was good, but Starbucks is better. Cheap way to feed the household breakfast.

While Krispy Kreme is not my favorite donut on the planet, they have a good thing going. Convenient hours and a clean, nicely decorated lobby. Good product for those who want to indulge. I do like the blueberry cake donuts, which are not available at the other Springfield, MO location (on Glenstone). This store on Campbell is better in every possible way. Their biggest strength is the friendly staff who really seem to get into the Krispy Kreme thing, making everyone's visit special and handing out hot donuts when the light is on. It's kind of like they assume everyone is a tourist and this is their first Krispy Kreme donut. I think that's the secret to their successful customer service.
