If you're reading this review, lived in Springfield for any reasonable amount of time and you haven't been to a Hong Kong Inn, I would begin to worry about how much you leave your home. This one is no different than the other 3 in town except for one thing: the service is on par to to what you would expect from a food stand at a trailer park garage sale. Lemme explain. The girls behind the counter act like they hate everyone you have ever known and loved and would like nothing more than to put a heaping spoonful of arsenic in your gravy chicken. They WILL see your empty glass and they WILL continue to ignore it until you haul yourself up to the counter where they will then proceed to act like you have interrupted their mother's funeral to get a refill. Not to mention the stares you get from the workers in the kitchen. Anyway, you can find far better chinese fare in Springfield than HKi. No really, anything else would be better. Even a trailer park garage sale.

If there was a way to put 1/2 a star I would. Worst frozen Chinese food I've ever experienced. Too much nasty orange looking sauce and the few pieces of chicken were literally swimming in it like a thick soup. I say "orange looking sauce" because it does not qualify in any Chinese market as duck sauce or, well, anything Chinese. Service: horrible and rude Food: thrown in trash, not edible Price: ridiculous because they can't give it away free Stay away from the temptation of the empty parking lot. It's empty for a reason!

Found a metal staple in our rice and were told to "just pick it out." We hardly even got an apology, much less a refund. All that aside, the meal was very poor quality.

While Mongolian Beef is in the menu, the item is best left to other restaurants (it had poor flavor, the onions were not fully cooked, and very little beef is included). While it is nice to have duck sauce packets at the table, it would be nice to have soy there as well. When the meal was brought it was not as ordered, and the server simply said that is what was ordered and walked away. It was a Poor experience for this first time customer.

Good staff and consistent food. By far one of the best Chinese food places around.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
