Every time we have a family gathering we chose to go to CreAsian. They have great food at affordable prices. The special is the best deal $7.99 entree, rice, and egg roll or two crab rangoon. The store is alway clean and the staff is always very friendly. The only complaint I have is that few times I have waited over 20 minutes for my meal. Besides that it is a great Chinese restaurant that doesn't use MSG.

Of the thousands of Chinese restaurants I've eaten at, CreAsian was by far the biggest surprise. I was floored when I saw their authentic Chinese menu. And they do a great job with their authentic dishes, such that you'd think you were eating in Los Angeles, San Francisco or New York. Only when I found out that the owner/chef trained in Alhambra, CA, in the fabled San Gabriel Valley, did it all make sense. Guilin noodles are great. Oh, and they also have the best version of Springfield Cashew Chicken that I've tried.

The 5 stars is for the authentic menu. Aside from the mapo tofu (which is delicious), I don't remember the names of the dishes I ordered, but the portions are generous and - unlike the pseudo-Asian restaurants in town - actually have real spice in them. The first time I went, I ordered the special off the American menu. Dumb. Don't do it. You owe it to yourself. This is legit Chinese food; I believe it's Szechuan style more than anything else. It's definitely not Chinatown, but it's as good as you can hope for near downtown Springfield.

In addition to excellent food, Creasian provides stellar entertainment. If you come at the right time (i.e., on 12/4/2013), you would have had Maury, some fuzzy handcuffs, and a lie detector test with "results that will shock you" on one TV: Days of Our Lives on the other TV; wonderful conversation with your food-eating companion; and best of all, Ash M. going full-on cray-cray on the Creasian staff over allegedly cashew-sparse cashew chicken. Whether or not she was not given an appropriate amount of cashews (and I can understand that being somewhat annoying if that were the case, although I find it annoying in and of itself that people order cashew chicken when there are much better food options at this place, but that's another story for another day), the only person being rude was Ash M. Really. Basically, the scene that was caused by her has led to my boyfriend and I to have a running joking dialogue whenever we go in, "We should tell them we didn't get enough cashews," (even though we never order dishes with cashews). So...in addition to delicious food, I had a great story to tell my co-workers when I got back. Thanks, Creasian! Really, this place has become one of my go-to places for lunch; their mapo is one of my favorites from all restaurants I've been to. In addition to great food, the staff is nothing short of polite even when faced with angry customers.

I'm not going to lie. We really like CreAsian, especially the lunch specials. However, last week, I had an allergic reaction to the Orange Chicken special. I'm not sure if the dish had too much sodium or what, but my itchy, swollen face was devastated. If I had to go back (which I am hestitant to do now), I would order from the Authentic menu instead of the Springfield-style menu. CreAsian has a punch card to for frequent guests. This comes in handy if you are down by/work at the government buildings often and are in a pinch for lunch.

Waited 30 min in a relatively empty restaurant for fatty beef that was a terrible quality and pork covered in gravy that was supposed to be teriyaki did I mention that It was supposed to be chicken? I don't know what the apps or the dim sum would have tasted like as we never received it. So disappointing :-(

We took the opportunity to give CreAsian a try a few evenings ago & very pleased that we made that choice. My wife & I along with our son & his wife visiting from Dallas area enjoyed a great dinner. The menu is extensive & includes a nice selection of American interpretations of Asian & authentic Chinese dishes. Our server was knowledgeable & very helpful. We each ordered a different menu selection & they all were very good! The servings were more than ample in size too. The dining area is very attractive also and clean. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much & we plan on returning to try other delicious offerings. I would highly recommend CreAsian if you enjoy Asian cuisine & it's varied interpretations. An excellent choice for us.

I didn't like the changes they made last year and I still don't like them. Also, I think it's odd to offer a separate menu one day a week. I'll digress. The reason I decided to update my review today is because my girlfriend and I went here the other night (first time in a while due to new budget restraints) and ordered our usuals, shrimp pad tai and bourbon chicken. As usual, they did taste great. However, there is a significant price increase across the menu. With inflation what it is lately, that's understandable. But I don't approve of increasing the price and decreasing the portion size. I received such a smaller portion that I have a hard time justifying it as an oversight. Even if it was an oversight, it's unacceptable given the price. My last review gave three stars, but with the new problems I have a hard time rating higher even though the food still tastes as good as it ever did. If you're looking for great tasting food and don't care about the price, go for it. If you're tired of companies taking more and giving less, rate my review as helpful and stay away from places like this. There are other great restaurants. I may give them another try later and I hope they improve. If you have a better or similar experience, let everyone know.

Holy Chinese Cow! The first authentic Chinese restaurant in town and it is incredible. You must try the dishes on the Chinese menu - #1 is an amazing, delectable fish covered in a spicy sauce. The portion is huge so it can feed you 2-3 times. My tip is to eat it cold the 2nd time (after you've saved it in the fridge for later consumption) because it brings out the flavors even more when it is chilled. The second item you must try is the spicy tofu dish. Again, much larger portion than expected...it will also feed you 2-3 times. My family ate meals off of the American Chinese menu, but it was definitely agreed that my dishes off of the authentic Chinese menu were a lot tastier. CreAsian is absolutely a sight for sore eyes...or a taste for sore tongues!

My husband and I have been here many times. The food is okay for the price. You get what you pay for. Well today I ordered the special which was cashew chicken when I received my meal it had 3/4 of a cashew on it. Not even one full cashew! I went to the counter and asked for a few more the young woman at the counter was confused so I brought my plate up so she could see that my meal had 3/4 of a single cashew on it and again asked for a few more. She went in back and spoke to the head cook and was told if I wanted more cashews that I would have to pay $1 for them. I told them that was not acceptable when I did not even receive one whole cashew on my meal. I was then told if I didn't like it I could return my meal and they would refund me. So I decided to return my meal and my husbands and inform them I would be writing a review of my experience and never ever patronizing their business again. Beyond rude and food is not worth the hassle and the price hikes they just started.

The food is okay but overpriced. I do like their bourbon chicken though. Service is usually good, but sometimes the wait can be very long.

Love, love, love their cashew chicken! I would have given it 5 stars except it was slightly pricey for lunch (if you order drink with it).

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
