Agreeing with Alan C. I have never been disappointed on the consistency of the service and food. The owner actually gets behind the line and helps when a rush comes in, what other place can say that their boss/owner is that devoted to helping make everyone's experience a great one? One of the best options in this small town. Plus the Philly Cheese sandwich is pretty effing awesome! :-)
This location is always consistent. The staff is always friendly and seem to be able to multitask multiple customers. Their ingredients always seem fresh. This location is also always clean. Overall, its a 5 star experience because it is exactly what you would expect but rarely get from a chain restaurant.
I live in Rogersville, where Cozumel is, and it is way better than anything else in town and it it's reasonably priced for the good food. I can go there with a family of 5.
I know there isn't much to choose from here. But that doesn't mean it has to be rated higher than it's worth. Maybe the lack of restaurants put people in a good mood when one shows up.. Ethnicity; Besides the staff, and music that's about as far as it goes. Typical Tex-Mex specially formulated for Missouri taste buds. The cheese was nice; beans were okay. But the rice, and beef were bland. Not a whole lot of culture screaming from the dish. Like I said felt like a typical meal from any Springfield Mexican place. I also felt the prices were a bit steep. Everyone knows that breakfast, and Mexican food are some of the cheapest meals to make. But pretty much everything on the menu was over $8. I'm not a local there, so I don't have to use this place as a normal option. But if I did I can see me hitting it once every couple weeks.. It's nothing to brag about, but it's better than Taco Bell.
Not to be unrealistic on my expectations on a small town restaurant but I have had much much better. Agreeing with Shane A. and Tim T. somewhat on the aspect that this is a Tex-Mex style place and seriously shouldn't be rated higher than what it really is. Nothing "authentic" about it. I would drive the extra 15 minutes West or East to find a better option. Springfield has a wide variety of truly authentic Mexican restaurants and there is a new place in Seymour, MO called El Patron that is seriously a little gem in a tiny town. Honestly I wouldn't waste my money or time at Cozumel ever again. The service sucks and so does the food. Sorry guys but you let this "Authentic Mexican Food Lover" down.
1/2015 This was a 5 star review as you can see below. I enjoyed having a good Chinese place right here in Rogersville. However, in January 2015 I got an order of Cashew and General chicken from the drive through that was medium rare. Many pieces were cold, pink, and inedible. The historical experience here could normally allow forgiveness of simple errors but uncooked chicken just doesn't work. I cannot go back here ever again. 9/28/2014 Having lived in Springfield for many years I was skeptical of this place when I moved here. However, they are always consistently good Chinese food. They have a wide variety of menu items ranging from your standard Springfield style dishes to traditional Chinese cuisine. Their egg drop soup is some of the best around. Being one of the few sit down restaurants in Rogersville also helps them. The drive through is always fast and friendly but they also have a buffet inside. Both are great! If your around and need a sit down place to eat, I would definitely recommend this place.
All this place has is chicken and it is not that good. It's just a buffet and not that good. It's ok for big meets but it's not very good.
If it wasn't for the cashew chicken and the way the chicken is breaded and fried ... I would have walked out! Nasty, nasty, nasty! Food was old, cold, and even the egg rolls were hard & stale. =( Sorry excuse for crab rangoon & pretty sure there wasn't even a hint of imitation crab in it. Literally maybe 1/2 a tsp of cream cheese but aside from that it had to have been sitting there for hours! The salad bar & again cashew chicken was the BEST thing here to eat but don't think I'll ever waste another $ in this place again! Beware peeps! Make the extra 15 min drive to Springfield to eat some decent chinese or heck go to Lamberts... same price & WAY better quality food! Thumbs DOWN! P.S. I felt super sick after eating here..... As for the generals, lemon, orange chicken.. all tasted the same & the generals chicken was just down right disappointing and overly sweet! I thought general's chicken had spice to it? Ugh.
This location is conveniently located at a major intersection. It is attached to a Shell gas station. Easy to get in and out of. The Mighty Wings have gone down in price. Like any McDonalds, you know what you will get. Parking lot appeared well lit as we were there at night.
Ordered a McRib, a kids meal and two mc Chickens. Took forever to pay. When they handed out our stuff its obvious we have three people(2 kids). NO napkins! Through the drive thru handing out a McRib with no napkins! Unbelievable! At least our fries were cold. We will wait until Seymour next time!
Updated 10/4/2014: Although this location used to have accuracy issues, they have done much better over the last year with accuracy of orders. They do a lot of community events at this location with the schools. Also, their employees seem a little friendlier as of late.
Taco Bell/KFC combo store. They seem to run out of popular items frequently. They are consistent with quality of any other stores. They are 3 because they are exactly what you expect but nothing more or less.
