Been here twice now. Food is great and the painting was so much fun for my little granddaughter. Great time sweet staff!! Awesome awesome food!!!
I stinkin' love it here. The hours are a little scattered as far as dinner and weekends, but they are a guaranteed hit for lunch. Their menu is huge, with soups, salads, wraps...all kinds of tasty goodness. All of it is made in house, so there are different soups and quiches each day. If you fall in love with something (ahem..steak soup...cough cough), just give them a call a couple days ahead of time and let them know you will be coming in. They are super willing to accommodate you. This is also why you can have your sandwich on white or wheat or rye or sourdough or croissants or whatever you can imagine. Want mushrooms? Done. Don't want mushrooms? Also done--with a smile. They will also give you a sample of soup if you are unsure if you want to order it. My go-to is the fried bologna sandwich with a fried egg on top. I'm that girl shoveling in fried bologna covered in egg yolk. I am not ashamed. They have lots of healthier options, but I don't care. Bologna FTW. And desserts...mercy. The desserts change daily too, and they are all luscious and beautiful (and the servings are huge). I definitely recommend the bread pudding, which is made with cinnamon rolls and served with whipped cream. I suppose I should mention the pottery, since that's the first thing in their name. The walls are covered with shelves of blank pottery-everything from canisters to Christmas ornaments--that you can paint. I've never done it personally, but I've seen lots of people enjoying themselves. Plus, the staff is super nice to little kids who want to paint. They hold parties and movie nights and ladies' dinners...just a VERY cool place to be. The staff is beyond friendly, and I cannot emphasize enough how important that is. Like them on FB to keep up with their events, and sign up for their emails so you can drool over their lunch specials. Love love love.
Recently found this little gem of a place. Everything we have tried has been delicious! Service is great, the staff is super friendly. I feel like I'm in a friend's house, hanging out and eating yummy food. Don't skip out on the BlackBerry cake either!

This is a clean, well managed business. Worth a try if you're in the area.
Nice and clean business. Most importantly a good restaurant (good owners and workers). Just the other day I had lunch there and the service and food was great. As a group we had a few pizzas that were all different and delicious. The cookies and brownies are great desserts to end the meal. The building is small, cozy, and bright environment that is perfect for group lunches with movable seats and tables. I can't recommend the place enough. Great experience so far so I recommend everyone nearby to visit the Garden Cafe. - Cute Interiors - Good Food - Great People Have fun!
OK, so I know this is just a review on Toasted Ravioli but, it's one of my favorite foods, and the Garden Cafe does it the best. You get twice as much and a regular order in a more expensive place and the quality is wonderful. Both this location and the one in Springfield always uphold high quality and never disappoint me. If you live close to the Republic one, they deliver too which is even better.

Papa John's is the best Pizza Chain in the US. The crust is always delicious and the toppings are very fresh. Sadly the Springfield area doesn't have any good local pizza places which makes this the best pizza in town. You also can't go wrong with their online specials. The only place you can get a cheaper pizza is Little Ceaser's and that's much lower quality.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time. We were a little skeptical due to the other reviews, but were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have any issue with cold food. Everything was pretty good. Nothing spectacular given that it is Chinese buffet. The highlights were the frog legs my husband firmly approved of, the crab ragoons were excellent, very creamy and had crab meat in them! I appreciated the plain fried rice since I don't like the onions or peas that tend to be in it. The price for fri night was 9.29 and that seemed a little pricey for buffet. We will defiantly be back when it's a little cheaper!.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times with various results. I have found the buffet has a great selection but is not always the freshest tasting. However, we have learned that if you order takeout, it is amazing. The shrimp lo mein is perfectly seasoned and tonight I had some of the best cashew chicken I have ever eaten. The service is always super friendly too. They obviously really appreciate our patronage.
Ordered cashew chicken combo. Chicken was tough and rubbery. Egg roll as cold and greasy. Would not recommend and I won't be going back .

Good prices BBQ. We got two pulled pork sandwiches with fries for $15. It is a very smokey flavor and Kansas City style. They have 3 sauces - house, spicy that's in the back (& not spicy), and a thin mushroom vinegrette. The style is casual. The area is clean. The decor is modernish and industrial. We had great service.
Great Q with a very original menu. I've eaten lots of BBQ in KC and Texas and I would put this menu up against the big names any day. Maybe a little pricey for Republic but awesome vs some of famous places in KC. I'll be back!
Incredibly over priced and the owner seemed it was necessary to yell at his employee's very inappropriately and disrespectfully in the kitchen while I was eating. Food was mediocre for top notch prices, but anyone who wants to treat their employee's like that isn't getting my business.

I used to love, LOVE this place until I had to send my order back. I'm very very allergic to bell peppers, so much so that I could end up in the hospital if I eat them. My family and I have been going here ever since it opened and 98% of the time I order the same thing, shrimp quesadilas (please excuse my spelling) which does come with peppers. Every time I explain that I can not have peppers on it. They know me and my family and should know that I can't have them. My dish comes out and I check (have to be sure!) and there is a small slice of pepper in it. I explain again and ask for a new plate. Again it comes out but all they did was pick the pepper off, I can still smell it and so I can't eat it. I can't eat anything that has touched bell peppers. I ask two more times for a new plate and even talk with the manager but it still has pieces of pepper in it. I told them that I would never come back, and boy do I miss it, and I haven't. It may seem like a small thing but when it can cost you a stay in the hospital it's worth it.
We go here about once a week. More times then not the service is fantastic. The food is amazing! Cheese dip is my favorite!
Horrible food and rude treatment. One star for the guacamole. We won't be back, I would rather drive to Springfield.

Not a regular RT diner but we were in the neighborhood and felt like a salad bar and burger. Happily it was happy hour and a tall 16 oz classic margarita for $3.00 was a wonderful opener. They are a little sweet for me but at $3.00 I can live with it. The salad bar was clean and well stocked and for 2.99 you cant buy all of the ingredients for home. The burgers were cooked like most places.. medium well but getting a MR burger these days is always a hassle. One flaw is that we ordered the $5. classic cheeseburger (happy hour price) but without realizing got up sold with fries to the regular combo price which equaled about $8. for 2 orders of fries. However the drinks and great salad carried the day. We will be back.
The food was good, our server did an excellent job. This restaurant has evidently moved up the highway and is next to Lowe's across from Walmart. We had an impromptu tour of republic on US 60. Not too crowded on Easter at 5pm.
Went on a Sunday afternoon, not too crowded. My salmon entree was excellent and the salad bar was fully stocked and nothing looked dried out. Our waitress was very good, attentive and kept the glasses full!
