All you can eat tacos for lunch. Endless refills on drinks. The waitress was as pleasant as can be and very attentive. The owner even made the rounds of the dining room visiting with regulars. Good food, good service and good price. Can't ask for anything more than that.

If you're looking for a no frills Mexican place with good prices and generous portions, I can recommend this. The food was good (average) and we really liked our waiter; he was pleasant and personable. The physical environment was small town and very basic. The floor under our booth was littered with some trash and broken corn chips. The margarita was really really bad ... watered down and tasted a bit like window cleaner smells ... I wouldn't do that again. Still, good people, good food and good prices.

I've been here for a few all-you-can-eat taco nights with friends who swear by the place. I tried to figure out why, and I still really can't figure out why, as the food is pretty substandard Mexistuff. I brought a couple of my friends with me for this particular taco night. They must have had this innately male urge to compete with each other over who could eat the most tacos in an hour. First round of tacos and they were ready for 4 (I think it was 4 in one basket, but possibly 3?) more. Second round came way too late, maybe 20 minutes after they finished the first round. Third round was also slow. Didn't make it to the fourth round, as our time had run out. So, if you're looking to have a testosterone taco-eating contest, you may want to hit a place that's a little speedier.

I am surprised I've not reviewed this place in the past...hmm...smack on the wrist for that. It's a Mexican restaurant, a bit too expensive, as prices more like On the Border. but probably a little less. I've eaten at a few all you can eat tacos. Each time I dislike it more...ha ha, so why did I try it again? The menu prices have gone up a dollar. The server is the same, and not much personality or enthusiasm. The soft taco shell tasted like it had been there a while. It wasn't so fresh. Presently, all you can eat tacos are $7.15 on Wednesdays. A single taco is $1.99. There were some brownies. my mom ordered one, it was just alright. It's not the greatest food, but not the worst I've had. The menu has less items on it than Taco Bell, and i think they cost too much. I do like the chips they serve you. But the sauce with the chips is a bit hot. The chair beside me was dirty, and looked like it'd been dirty for quite some time. I don't believe i'll be returning. There's better places for tacos around here.

The BF and I visit Las Chili's at least once per month. I always get the all-you-can-eat tacos, and he gets the chicken chimichanga. The food is to die for. It is far from traditional Mexican, and falls in the TexMex category, which is why we are repeat customers. Having a good amount of Mexican family, I like to stray toward the TexMex when I dine out. The service is quick and always friendly, and we typically get a lady...Crystal, I think. Either way, it is just awesome, so keep it up!

Thresa G.'s review is my review exactly. Waitress was super nice but couldn't hear anything. Asked her for a hot version of the salsa and she just stared at me - after asking several different ways, I just gave up and ate the ketchup salsa that was served. I also bought a groupon but the 4 person version - spent way too much and they said the bill came to $71 even though I just ordered what was on the groupon! Groupon was only good for $61 so had to pay $10 more dollars for what was supposed to be included. Chicken nachos was a can of refried beans heated and dumped on top with cheese whiz and a few pieces of chicken. We were so nauseous after eating the appetizer that we took most of our entries home - which will probaly go to the dog. Get a refund on your groupon before it is too late!

The waitress was super friendly and pretty on top of things she earned most of the stars all by herself. Definitely not good Mexican food...it's Midwestern food in a tortilla. On the upside, it's cheap and the beer was cold.

it was my mother's suggestion to try this place, as we drove by the strip mall it's contained in. We had a large party with us, and as we walked in, I noticed the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in 2 days. it didn't look like a place that had wait staff, so we stood at the counter waiting on someone to tell us where to go. a lady finally told us to sit at a table and she would send the waitress. The menu is one laminated page...everything is very basic. the salsa comes in a big carafe type thing, with styrafoam bowls. When we got our food, it was just ok. nothing exceptional....and I didn't eat all of it. I was not happy with this place and I doubt I'll be back.

Wonderful food if it's the cheeseburgers to the taco salads both my favorites. Wonderful wait staff can't get any better !

Terrible food. These guys make Taco Bell seem premium. The wait staff is really nice though and the bottomless tacos make it a worthwhile stop.

I've driven by this place for a while now. I figured that it was one of those authentic-type Mexican food places. I also figured, that since they had been open since I've moved here, they had to be good. Wrong on both counts. I brought my mother here for dinner, and the inside is a very plain, very basic eatery...a very nondescript atmosphere. Light rock playing on the speakers. The menu is pretty basic, offering just the standards in Mexican fare. The nacho chips were the round Tostido-type chips. The salsa unremarkable. The white cheese was pretty good, however. Both of us ordered the chimichangas. Mom asked if they had a verde-type sauce, and the waitress (who had plopped herself down on the seat next to my mother), didn't know what that was. Our chimis came on large platters. The servings were pretty big. The rice was bleh, the refried beans were okay. The chimis, whose choices were either ground beef or seasoned chicken, were average, but again, unremarkable. Each platter comes with one taco, which was ok as far as tacos go...only the shell seemed a little on the stale side. The restaurant is one big room, with a banquet room off to the side. I mention this because smoking is allowed here, and there is no distinction between smoking and non-smoking. So, you could very well end up sitting next to a NASCAR fan in a ratty wife beater, puffing away on a cigarette...which sadly, was our case. I'm sure that this place probably has a loyal following of locals, but there are many other better Mexican restaurants to patronize that are comparably priced, but more authentic. The smoking is a big deal-breaker for me, and the cheese dip alone isn't enough to entice me to return.

I believe our servers name was Nancy. I don't know for sure because she didn't introduce herself, I think I heard someone call her. She was very sweet and attentive. We were told to sit where ever we wanted when we walked in. There were about 8 people there, all of the tables were dirty. There was another male server there that thought it was appropriate to yell across the restaurant at the other employees and the customers that were his friends. Granted it wasn't a 5 star restaurant but please. We purchased a groupon which included 2 margaritas, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees for $16. We paid way too much! The salsa tasted like they opened a can of enchilada sauce. They only had frozen margaritas. We had chicken nachos for an appetizer. There was absolutely no flavor in the chicken and they were soggy. We both had chicken burritos; the cheese came straight from a can the refried beans were hard and taste like they had been in the pan for a week. I took 2 bites of the burrito. The potions are big. We didn't want to be rude to the server because she was so sweet. So we took the food with us and threw it in trash. They could benefit from Restaurant Impossible.

Las Chilis has the best hot salsa in the city, and it is HOT! If you want to clear out your sinuses, I'd order it. Their normal salsa is delicious as well. The food is very appropriately priced and the service is prompt. The waitresses remember your faces even if you've only gone to the restaurant one time. I order their taco salad, and they always give a huge amount of meat in it. This is a great place to go to!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
