Ginger’s Restaurant

A little hole in the wall in Raytown, but I love the breakfast you can't beat the price or that home-cooked taste. The service is great.
A great non smoking breakfast and lunch place in Raytown. DeDe is a great waitress, get on her good side :) Coffee is good and cheap. $1.05 with refills I would go with the western omelet. I cut mine in half and eat the rest for lunch.
My wife and I happened upon this little mom and pop place and were surprised to find excellent service and food. Aimee ordered the Bacon/Avocado burrito--filled with gooey cheese, avocado, egg, bacon and pico. Hashbrowns on the side and a consistently half-full cup of tea perfected her experience. I ordered the Veggie Scramble--a generous portion of peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and eggs. Sided by home fries (deliciously seasoned), sour dough and a coffee, my meal was filling and satisfying. Our server was kind and ever-available but not annoyingly so. The hospitality pulled it all together. Go to Ginger's, they're wonderful.

Reviews:
This is my go to for Chinese food and has been for many years. The quality of the ingredients as well as fast and courteous service has kept me a faithful and content return customer. I like that I can watch as the chefs cook up my food fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend stopping by for your chinese craves!
Extremely impressed with the quality & service of this Chinese restaurant. I can never find general's chicken that I enjoy other than at one other hole in the wall chinese place. China town though definitely satisfied my taste buds with their version of general's chicken. The egg rolls are humongous & deliscious! The crab rangoon - prefer wonton wrappers - thicker ones anyhow but nontheless still yummy! The rice was cooked to perfection & that's hard to say about rice!! Will DEFINITELY be returning.
5 stars because the $7.56 combination plate is equal to a $15 plate at P.F. Changs. Go into China Town, having called ahead, and expecting to leave in 30 seconds; the food is made to eat at home. As mentioned before, the food is made to order and is still hot by the time you get home. Been living in Raytown all my life and hadn't tried it until last year! You've been missing out too if you haven't tried it yet!

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Reviews:
Chipotle in Raytown?! Awesome! The food is typical Chipotle here, but the decorations and design of the restaurant are a little different than most. The employees here are really friendly and enjoy serving customers. Nice addition to the fast food lineup along 50 Highway.
I've eaten at chipotles for years. I was finally burned out on them when things went wrong. My wife started liking them as soon as I stopped eating there and they decided to pull the pork from the menu. I100% agree with that decision it's just too bad that that was my favorite item. The sofritas is one of the best things I've ever eaten but this chipotle makes it super salty compared to other locations. I have to go to the hospital to get all the water drained from my legs after eating one of those.
When my wife and I moved to the area, we were happy to find a Chipotle so close, and as such, it is now our default too-tired-to-cook-tonight eatery. Some days, I just crave this place. We go once a week, sometimes more. As a picky eater, I love that I can put only what I want in my meal. White rice, black beans, chicken, and extra cheese in a bowl to-go is my usual. I used to get burritos until I realized I can get more food for the same price with a bowl. You can get tortillas on the side if you want. The wife gets similar to my order but with corn salsa and extra sour cream. The chips are also great. The nice hint of lime with the salty chips is excellent. The only negatives I can report from this place are that it tends to be quite busy. If you walk in and there is no line or maybe 1-2 people waiting, consider yourself lucky. The space for a line to get served is a bit small. This is does share a building with Game Stop and Jimmy John's, so they only have so much space. We have never eaten in since we live so close. They also often have a security guard in case customers get rowdy, but I've never seen it. We are definite regulars here. Yum!

Mr Goodcents Subs & Pastas

6251 Blue Ridge Blvd
Raytown, 64133
Reviews:
Mr. Goodcents in Raytown is a deli that puts Subway to shame! Mr. Goodcents creates sandwich masterpieces with softer bread and fresher ingredients than Subway. Their most popular sub is the Penny Club with roast beef, turkey, ham, and your choice of cheese and toppings. They offer the five dollar foot long deal, as well. Mr. Goodcents also serves made-to-order pastas with fresh baked garlic bites as a tasty side! This is the only place my dad will eat at in Raytown, so whenever I decide to hang out with him, we end up at Goodcents. I do believe that each and every employee at Goodcents knows our names and our order. They will start making our food as we walk in the door....unless I decide to be sneaky and change it up on them from time to time.
I have always prefered Goodcents bread over Subway bread, so to say the least, I prefer Goodcents over Subway. I was happy to find one close to my apartment. The staff has always been cheerful and helpful when my fiancee and I have come in. The sandwiches are great. I don't get any veggies on my sandwiches, so my first comment about the bread is important. My usual is the Italian, but I got the Goodcents Original last time. Not bad. You would think a sandwich with pepperoni on it would have a bit more of an Italian taste to it, but the bologna was the dominating flavor. The Original has ham, pepperoni, salami and bologna. I got mine with mozzarella. Lots of mayo. I give this a 4 star as opposed to a 5 star as the staff can get distracted a bit. I only get mayo and black pepper on my sandwich. The preparer started putting black olives on my sandwich. They fished them all out, but with a simple order like mine, you would think you couldn't mess it up. I like the place but your mileage may vary.
I am typically frequent Subway, but Mr. Goodcents is in the same strip mall as my work. I find myself, lately, preferring to go to Goodcents over Subway because the staff is always helpful and joking, and quick to get you taken care of if you're in a hurry. The ingredients they use are much fresher and of higher quality than Subway, as is their bread. They don't have many choices, but it is so soft and flavorful.

Jim G’s Drive In

Reviews:
Older Asian couple are always there. They work hard and put out a great product. Support local. Double cheese burgers rock.
I dont know how i missed Jimmy Gs. I have driven by it thousands of times. As other reviewers have said it is ran by an older couple. They are the only people i saw working. There was a steady stream of customers. We ate inside. The food was delicious. I had a tenderloin sandwich. It was monstorous. And the taste was better than Pop's tenderloin. ....the service and inside was weird. I was eating and the owner grabbed the ketchup from my table to pass it to another customer. Albiet, I was using it, and had put it down, but still strange on the inside. Part of the resturant was a darkish room with an old folding table and a few chairs...I think this is a place to go through the drive thru instead. While I was there, there was a steady stream of drive through and to go customers. I will make this a regular stop, but drive through next time. The food though, was delicious.
Jim G's is awesome Drive-In comfort food. They have great prices and a big selection of old-fashioned standards. Don't miss their shakes. I can't resist stopping by when I'm in Raytown. Minimum purchase $3 for credit cards
