Las Margaritas

My husband loves the fajitas and I love the chimichangas so it's hard to break out of our usuals, but everything we've had has been great including the margaritas. They have an expansive menu with appetizers, daily lunch specials and combo plates, and specialty entrees. The salsa is fresh with plenty of cilantro which makes it pretty much perfect. There are lots of different section for seating so it feels intimate. There's outdoor seating also. Service is great. It's one of our favorite places in Poplar Bluff.
I really like this place. Food is always good and the prices are reasonable.
Hands down some of the best Mexican style food you will find, anywhere. Francisco & family have several locations (Kennett, Van Buren, Columbia) but this was their first location, in 1997. EVERYTHING on the menu is first rate, and the cheese dip is without peer. Whether it's steak, chicken, pork or fish based, all their offerings are exquisite. For those not familiar with the area, they have a sister restaurant in Maya's, and also a more fast fresh Mex place called Taco Taco. All are in Poplar Bluff & all are highly recommended. SALUD!

From out of town needing my Starbucks fix. If you're like me I do not recommend you go here for coffee. Coffee was hot. That is all Also did some shopping for my wine fix later in day -average price was 10.00 over normal retail which I guess is great for a restaurant but not for cash and carry. They received no more of my money.
Wow!!! who would have thought that such a great place would exist in Poplar Bluff!!! What a great place to hang out, have a glass of incredible wine and meet some new friends!!! So here is my take on The Wine Rack: The decor is like a wine shop/coffee shop. Racks of wine line the walls. The counter is like a coffee shop. The service was good, several of the wait staff took care of me. Brian, the head waiter (I assume) made several great suggestions, showing his knowledge of the menu and wines. Yes, you can trust his suggestions. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus...wow, it was fantastic. The bread great, warm and served with oil and balsamic vineagar along with a salad to get me started. The tenderloin was fantastic as was the grilled asparagus...but, just not enough of it. Brian suggested the Penner Ash 2008 Willamette Pinot Noir, wow was it great. So much that I bought a bottle to take home. Then there is the desert. I had the Hungarian Trifle. (I had it on faith from the baker that it was great -and it was). Thanks Gabi! If you are in Poplar Bluff and want a good meal, this is the place.
I recently visited here and came back a second time the same week. Great atmosphere! Warehouse meets winery. Craft beer, great wine selection, intimate and personable atmosphere, coffees, desserts, chef-inspired dinner/lunch menu. The food is not average. It's top-notch and the menu choices are well thought out. Typical choices are baked brie cheese, potato skins with Parmesan cheese and prosciutto, burgers, steaks, seafood and beyond. Creative salads too. This is the type of place you want to add to your visit-often list. It's where you want to bring a client, share lunch with friends, come by yourself and read a paper. Take advantage of this establishment Poplar Bluff. You would normally have to drive to a big city to get this kind of unique, creative atmosphere.

Superb food, outstanding service and a good wine list. Took visiting guests there (one from NYC and one from Paris, France). Both were delighted to enjoy The Wine Rack's high quality on all counts.
Besides the fly that wouldn't leave us alone, this place was really awesome! Where else can you get great wine, beer, a latte or an Americano with a great meal, the bowl was a great idea and tasty. The salmon salad everyone raved about was good but not as great as expected, the dressing was creamy, I would've preferred a lighter dressing. The Brie was good of course, but not worth trying if you're watching your calories. I'd definitely return there!!
I arrived here at 9:45 on a Monday morning. I had some business in Poplar Bluff and wanted to grab some quick breakfast from a local joint The place was empty except for me and a worker. The kitchen was open for lunch items, which delighted me because I am a hobbit, and like to eat second breakfast. The young man recommended the Tuscan chicken panini, which I ordered. It came with ordinary kettle chips. The sandwich itself was made fresh. It had a ciabatta bun, moist grilled chicken breast, sautéed spinach, red peppers, melted cheese, and pesto. It was hot and delicious. The space itself is modern, featuring treated concrete floors and small 4 top tables with Eames style school chairs. The ceiling are high with stylish track lighting. The walls are vibrant bold colors like orange and red. Wine, liquor and beer are displayed around the perimeter. I look forward to a lunch or dinner here later.

The second late morning visit was not good. Breakfast sandwich, looked like one off of a lunch truck (wrapper and all) microwaved to a chewy, wet mess. Light coffee very, very strong. Service OK, but not friendly. Only chocolate donut was devils food. Hate to say it, but considering quality, fast food is a much tastier, better buy. Sad.... Nice looking building. Need to step up their game.
Visiting from out of town. Was pleasantly surprised to find this place as there is no Starbucks. We stopped for coffee but also left with donuts. Staff was fun, friendly and attentive. The coffee was pretty strong but hot and fresh. Enjoyed the chocolate cake donut and the cinnamon roll. Was sort of unique looking and comfortable inside. Worth the stop!
So far, so good! As a Floridian needing to celebrate a friend's birthday in Poplar Bluff, I was fretting about how to pull it off. I called 3 places I found on Yelp. Donut House was the only one able to help me. The price was great. The people over the phone were helpful. The last minute job was very helpful and reassuring. Yelp & Donut House have bridged a gap from Florida to Missouri & met my needs today! :)

Great little place. Hard to find unless you are looking. They need a bigger sign out front. They are located inside the Consignment Mall. They are a Bistro type place. Different menu every day. I had their Potato Soup and Apple cake. Both were delicious. They also have quiche, salads and more. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
