They are a staple to the Perryville community. I love their burgers, onion rings, fries and milkshakes! It is both nostalgia and plain out good food! Not a fan of any BBQ so I never get it, so I can't tell you about it. Also the best chocolate milkshakes (I have mine made with chocolate ice cream).

The minute you walk in Mary Jane's, you know you are in a special place. It is an inviting place from the antique hardwood floor to the friendly faces that greet you. The employees really must love to work there. They are always smiling and making sure everything is just great for you. Inside the building is very rustic. Rough wood siding on the inside with wood floors and tables. They have unique carvings on the wall. The side of the building that faces the street is almost all glass. They even have two "garage door" type walls of glass that can be raised in good weather to bring the outside in. The food and the beer is the focus of this restaurant. The owner has taken great pride in presenting one of the most outstanding restobar menus in Southeast Missouri. I live in Cape Girardeau and this little place beats anything in our town. The specialty Burgers down to the gourmet fries, heck even the ketchup is unique in this place. I love just to sit down and ask what the special is and take what they think is best. I have never been disappointed. I'm not sure how many beers they have on tap but the lineup is impressive. They even have a beer tasting club you can join and they keep track of what you have tasted. They have Pizza's and about anything else you would expect from a bar/restaurant. What you won't expect is the flair and commitment that they put into every service. When I'm in Perryville it is my "go to" place to take my clients. It's hard to have a bad experience at Mary Jane's.
They have THE TASTIEST crab cakes ever!!! They are definitely my favorite on the menu! I have tried the sandwich and the appetizers. I think the appetizer is the better deal because you get two pretty big crab cakes. I'm not much of a fan of their fries because they are always overcooked and cold every time I get them with a meal. As for customer service, it's a hit or miss depending on who is working. The hostesses the last time I went with a friend did not seat us. Another group came in after us and she seated them first. This was a little annoying so we just sat at a table on our own. Also, it took a while before a waitress came to our table. Then finally we got the best waitress in the place. She has excellent customer service. I will have to ask for her name again because I can't remember right now.
Stumbled upon this gem earlier this evening. Fantastic location right on the square in Perryville. It's housed in an older building and the architecture is pretty neat; exposed brick walls, nicely appointed furnishings, tin ceilings---fantastic attention to detail. Service was superb. I had the Italian Stallion which is a burger topped with fresh, fried mozzarella, marinara sauce, and basil---best burger I've ever had. The beer cheese fries were awesome! Well worth making a trip for.

I have eaten there a few times, despite a few problems on a busy night, I have had a good experience. Their chips and salsa are probably my favorite. I have had the taquitos, fajitas and quesadilla. They were good but the only thing they missed was more flavor. I like my food to pop. While the salsa is loaded with flavor the fajitas just needed something added to make them outstanding. Don't misunderstand though the food was really good just be prepared to add lime or something as a kick.

Great pepperoni pizza! Always good and they have a unique taste not found every where. If ordering a specialty pizzas make sure you understand what is on it. Many people do not understand the ingredients going in and may be dissatisfied. Otherwise don't hesitate getting pizza here because it is a gas station, you may be missing out!

McDonald’s

This is the best McDonald's I've ever been to. Many of the daytime staff have nametages saying 15+ years of service. It is clean and well done, and the food is consistently good. Best Mickey D's in the entire country as far as I'm concerned. One complaint is that they are habitual car-parkers in the drive thru lane. They ask you to pull up and wait if your order isn't completely ready. This is fine, except they sometimes ask 3+ cars to wait like this and they all get stacked up in the parking lot. It keeps the service quick for those behind you, but it's frustrating when all you ordered was a couple of value meals and they make you park and wait. And it happens all. the. time.

I am a fan of the local el toreros. In the past I have had bad service but being a local and eating there quite often this is bound to happen. This was also years ago. I have been pleased with them for years and will keep coming back. Love the fajitas and margaritas. Only wish was that the salsa was a bit less spicy and more favored. Other than that I love the spices on the other dishes!

Pretty good food quality. Breakfast is really good. The service needs work. The drive thru is usually slow. Sometimes they make your coffee for you, sometimes they throw sugar packets and creamer at you. The inside of the restaurant is also very hot and the air conditioning doesn't work. Tempers can flare quickly on a busy Sunday morning.
