Great friendly service. Amazing BBQ and sweet sweet sauce! They also have several other flavors of sauce if sweet isn't your thing. And you get Free ice cream cone after your meal!! Love this place.

The hubby and i are BBQ fanatics, thought we'd give the place a try... We both ordered The Westerner a 2 meat sandwich with cheese, onions & pickles on a hoagie roll. We made it a plate which included 2 sides. We both got beans & coleslaw. The beans tasted burnt, like they'd been in a crock pot 2 days too long... Coleslaw was OK, kind of... The meat didn't have a smoke taste at all and it was greasy as hell. And $27 for 2 sandwiches with 2 nasty sides is not worth it at all... We haven't left yet & my husbands tummy is already rumbling. The dining room is cramped & dirty. The cleanest table we could find is still sticky.

I really want to like this place, but I have one word- BUGS. The last two times I have seen cockroaches. So, I just wonder if they are out during the day just how many are living there? Last time there were an abundance of fruit flies and a few beetles too. I think the place already needs a very good scrub.

I cant beleive this crap is in KC, the mecca of bbq. Not. Good. If you want good bbq, go almost anywhere else...this is canned junk from a big corporate restaurant chain. Way too much amazing bbq here to even tolerate this place!

I have to give stars because of the food. This place needs help. We were there at about 6:30 a few weeks ago and they had run "out of ribs"? This is a big error for this kind of place. We got free drinks because the Manager seemed to be under fire and was thinking we waited to long. He did have a Help Wanted sign out. I would like something else besides a thin soggy piece of paper covering the metal plate they re-run. The trash needs a bigger opening because people are slopping stuff all over the top around the small opening. Plus their menu is confusing...better to go a numbering system for the simple minded.

Smells amazing. Food is decent but very expensive for what you get. Totally overrated.

Portions are tiny. I got the 3 meat meal so that I could have leftovers. I had to go back to see if they gave me the wrong order because mine looked like a skimpy 2 meat meal. The food was okay, but not good enough to justify the price. The service was okay, but the cashier seemed perpetually confused. I won't go back and will advise my friends to avoid it.

Not very much bang for your buck. By KC standards the BBQ was average at best. The most disappointing is what you get for the price. Arthurs or Gates you would get twice the amount for the price and it's better tasting. I wAs still pretty hungry when I left. That's never been the case at Arthur's or Gates. I would probably not go back knowing what you can get elsewhere.
