I have had a few great experiences at this restaurant! The staff is very friendly and accomodating. We had a group of 15 that just showed up and they did everything they could to quickly get a table ready. Plus, if you want to split the check in a big group, they will put the order in all together and then let you split it at the cash register. The food is excellent and has a different, richer twist than most of the "authentic" Mexican restaurants that have come about in the last 10 or 15 years. The quality of the food was excellent too, and once again, different than others in the area. The decor is lively and kid friendly (tall booth backs so you don't bug the people behind you) . They also have outdoor seating, which is unique in this area.

This place is average, the food is average, the service is average. Nothing great stuck out to me. The prices were reasonable. I had the Las Limas, which was good, nothing to write home about and my wife had the enchiladas, she said they were good, however she's 6 months pregnant and not picky. My son, 3, enjoyed his quesadilla. Overall I wouldn't turn this option down for food but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Sat there for over 15 minutes without ever laying eyes on a server, meanwhile tables around me were getting their food. When we were FINALLY waited on, I made it a point to let her know how long we'd been sitting. Apologies all around. Food came..it was so so. Not nearly enough flavor, none to be exact. The bill came - Oh my god! They couldn't even comp our tea after leaving us sitting forever. A disappointment of a $60 dinner. I won't be back.

Excellent food, very quick service. This place is newly opened, but has already became one of our family's favorites. We've been a couple times and have always been impressed. It's definitely one of the better ones in town as far as I'm concerned. The only thing I've found so far that I like better somewhere else is the chips. That's only because I like the thin, flour tortilla chips better than the thicker corn tortilla chips like they use. Their chips are very good, I just prefer flour. I think the corn is probably more authentic though since that's what most places I've been to use. Their chicken quesadilla is terrific as is their fajita taco salad.

I couldn't believe the amount of vegetarian options that they have at this place. I thought the chips and salsa were very good, which is the first thing that usually gets judged when you go to a Mexican restaurant. The service was very excellent, and the food comes quickly. Great portions, and they had Dos Equis amber on tap. It's always much better on tap than in the bottle.

"Meh" is accurate. The carne asada tacos were a bit rubbery, a bit bland. They were also smothered in some kind of creamy, runny sauce that added no flavor and only made the tortillas soggy. The free chips and salsa were quite good, as were the beans and rice. The service was competent though inattentive. My husband has eaten here before and he said it used to be better, so I will give this place another chance, but just one.

I'm not gonna rip this place just to do it. I'm just gonna tell my experience. Appearance of the inside is .... not Latin. Bad attempt. I ordered a water and a steak dish with tomatoes, onions, peppers, rice and beans, and a margarita. The water tasted like it had dirt in it. Strike 1. The dish looked pretty good. But when cutting into the "steak", it was nothing but FAT. STRIKE 2. The one time the guy came around to ask how it was I said it was good but the steak is fatty. He said sorry. That's it. Didn't fill up my dirt water, or ask if I wanted another margarita, just put the ticket on the table. And I couldnt tell for the life of me what kind of steak it was...if it was steak. First and last visit.

La Tolteca is the latest addition to the Lebanon restaurant scene. Though it's not the only Mexican restaurant in town, it's one of the best. It also has one feature which no other Lebanon-area restaurant can claim...an outdoor patio! After moving here from Colorado, my wife and I have had a hankering for a cold drink in the sun. La Tolteca is now our new warm weather eatery. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. If you live in Lebanon, you owe it to yourself to partake of a Margarita in the sun at La Tolteca!
