2.5 stars for the Kirkwood Qdoba? Come on. They're better than that. I prefer Chipotle, but this Qdoba gets my business on occasion for three reasons: 1. The Kirkwood Chipotle is always so busy. It's tiny and crowded. Finding a seat there can be difficult during the lunch rush, but it's never a problem at the Kirkwood Qdoba. Interpret that as you will. 2. Qdoba has more options. Smothered burritos! Quesadillas, right there on the menu! You don't even have to special-request them like you do at Chipotle! Do you want to add guacamole or queso to your entrée? Guess what! It doesn't cost extra anymore! Chipotle doesn't even have queso! Excluding my go-to burrito bowl, two of my favorite Qdoba entrées are the nachos and Mexican gumbo. I have my nachos made with three-cheese queso, pinto beans, pico de gallo, and shredded cheese. Mmmm! And although I don't particularly care for its name, the Mexican gumbo is all kinds of awesome. Though, I find it smells like Cool Ranch Doritos. Sniff your gumbo next time, and tell me if you agree. :p 3. Last but not least, Qdoba has a rewards card. Buy 10 entrées, get one free! I'll take it! You'll also get email offers throughout the year as well as a birthday offer. (I believe my last birthday offer was free chips and queso.) --- It looks like most of the complaints for this Qdoba were in reference to online ordering and customer service. I can't comment on that. I've never ordered anything online, and I'm not sure if I've ever seen the same employee twice. This Qdoba has never wronged me. :)

Usually a big fan of Qdoba, but my burrito from this location was the worst I've ever had. The staff was more focused on getting me out quickly than making it well. They didn't even bother to let my tortilla steam at all and the steak I got was hard, like it had been sitting out all day. It made the whole thing really dry.

Seriously one of the worst places for staff customer service!!! I do not go here often because I think it's more expensive, descent food, but terrible customer service! So unfriendly and talk to each other constantly, and have to ask me over and over what I said.

Ordered a burrito online at 11:45 scheduled to pick up at 12:45. When I went in they had a small line but since it was an online order, I went right to checkout as instructed. When I asked about my online order, the man at the checkout had no idea what I was talking about. He asked another employee who informed him that they hadn't even started making it. I asked when it would be ready, they said "when we get to it" which frustrated me more. Instead of waiting I just told them to cancel the order, I'll go elsewhere and the man at the register, tall guy with a beard and no name tag said, condescendingly, "have a nice day" and then laughed. These guys have horrible customer service and clearly no respect for the company or consumer.

Online order was not ready by the time they specified. It wasnt even started. Then when we got the order to the office, it was difficult to distribute the food the way they labled the food. Would not recommend ordering online.

We're regulars here. The staff is great and the food is always fresh. Great alternative to fast food.

Weird taste everytime I come here. Why do I return? I'm starving and it's conveniently located. I won't make the same mistake a 3rd time.

No longer a qdoba virgin! I see these all over the place and thought it was about time I give them a try. I am sure after you have been there a few times the menu makes sense. But after staring at the menu for a few minutes and feeling like a complete dumb ass I thought I would go with something easy like the nachos. I must say I was impressed. Although I was glad I got my order to go as they were quite messy. The portion was very generous and the staff was very nice. The place was clean and other than the menu, very inviting.

the kirkwood qdoba mexican grill really delivered on a sunday afternoon. they grill their own steak - really i watched them like 50 pounds of it grilling away looked and smelled awesome. we asked the person behind the counter what their three favorite dishes were and asked him to prepare them like it too. we got the gumbo with shredded beef, a burritto with grilled chicken, and a naked bowl with pork. the salsas were good, the guacomole was ok for a $1.99. qdoba does a good job with trying healthy options and they provide a 5 cal. per serving lite lemonade beverage that was refreshing and went well with our meal. chipotle beware!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
